Correcting mistakes is also effortless, and being able to attach files and comments to almost any transaction is fantastic to get more information and create an audit trail. The support team have been fantastic in addressing any issues we have come across or have solutions to things we want to change or access. **What do you dislike about iplicit?** Sometimes changing things in the background isn't as straight forward as it would seem. I have tried to change the system to assist our end users but have often had to go to the support team rather than fixing the issue myself (usually because a setting needs to be changed in more than one screen). It could also be made more secure (e.g. notifications or authorisation required to amend supplier bank details), and month end closure could be more helpful (e.g. closing certain areas such as AP whilst the GL could still be open for prepayments/accruals/adjustments, or closing periods for all users apart from accountants to complete month end). **What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Along with processing and reporting, iPlicit is now being used by our departmental managers/budget holders to view the P+L of their respective departments in real time. They are able to view breakdowns of any lines without waiting for management accounts review meetings or contacting the Finance department. This transparency allows managers to query any costs they did not have to directly approve through AP or if they need an income breakdown to see what funds are outstanding. ### 2. I also find the bulk payment process very helpful and user friendly to adjust and view as you need. Th ease of exporting into excel to view things as well. I like the Trial balance and P&L view as well, find it very helpful. **What do you dislike about iplicit?** Sometimes there seems to be a lot of drop down options to add etc when you are trying to post things which can take time. It would also be good to be able to adjust prepayments/deferrals if there has been an error picked up as such. Also it took a while for the workflow to work with our respective budget holders as needed. **What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It took a while for the budgets to work as we needed and we are trying to get ap automation working fully for us. We understand dropdown-heavy workflows can slow things down at times, just to note, iplicit allows administrators to configure a range of default settings - such as user defaults, product defaults, and legal entity-specific settings - to reduce the number of selections required during transaction entry. In n addition, data access controls can be used to simplify dropdown lists, ensuring users only see the information relevant to them (e.g., cost centres, projects, departments). On prepayments and deferrals: good news! Our March 2025 update introduced the ability to fully adjust schedules while invoices are still in draft - including dates and amounts - with full validation and audit trails. And we hear you on the workflows with budget holders. This can take some fine-tuning depending on internal structures, but our January release added Budget Data Access Controls to help make this much smoother and more secure. One of its biggest strengths is the cost — it was noticeably cheaper than many of its competitors which we looked at when getting a software for our charity. This makes it a great value for the features it offers. **What do you dislike about iplicit?** It would be great to see some improvements in the design and overall user interface to make it feel a bit more modern and polished. During the implementation process the people involved from Iplicit were very diligent and helpful. We use Iplicit on a daily basis and it has really improved the quality of work and reduced the amount of hours for almost if not all our processes. It is cloud based so can be accessed easily from anywhere. It's intuitive to use, transparent and has powerful reporting capabilities. There is a development roadmap which as a user I feel able to influence. Regular system updates are seamlessly deployed alongside monthly user webinars. This user education is really helpful, enabling us to be kept informed of new features as well as maximising existing functionality. **What do you dislike about iplicit?** The stock management module is adequate but I think needs more development. The valuation methods available are Average and Standard, not FIFO. We particularly like the link with the bank and the ease of completing the VAT return. We upgraded from a very old system and it really was a complete change. The implementation wasn't too bad, the main of the problems we hit were caused by us, but whatever the problem, there seems to be a solution. I am a daily user of the system and I am an approver rather than an 'entry' user, but the system seems straight forward to use. I like the webbased nature of the system and would very much recomment Iplicit. We are about to be branching out into phase 2 which includes PO's and Assets **What do you dislike about iplicit?** Iplicit has very fixed rules in place which if you want flexibility may be a challenge to overcome. We use the workflows a lot and keeping on top of the workflows can be a challenge. Support appears good- but we've rarely had to use it **What do you dislike about iplicit?** It all works, and its easy to get data into spreadsheets with direct links via formula - the minor bugbear here is that although it does this very well with live data, there are no formulas to extract budget data alongside it- we are told this is on the cards, but is probably the one remaining thing that would further automate effectively. **What problems is iplicit solving and how is that benefiting you?** The system as a whole, being entirely cloud based, has removed a lot of the problems of working from home largely with the previous server based system. The move was one our our best decision as Iplicit is incredibly functional, has superb interactive features, and has very in depth reporting. Implementation took a while as it was very new at the time, but we have been with Iplicit as it's developed over the past 5-6 years and seen huge change. The best thing about Iplicit is the customer experience with their support team. Monthly webinars are extremely handy to learn about or brush up on functionality, and also to give you insight on developments. The customer team also take on board all suggestions and try to include them in future releases if this is something that will enhance the product. We are only a small group of companies, but it is used daily and has made our accounting so much more efficient to free up time utilised elsewhere in the businesses. **What do you dislike about iplicit?** There are times where Iplicit does slow down which can cause irritation, but generally it runs well. The creation of certain dashboards & reports can be complex and at times you need to have a complete understanding of certain coding and functions to be able to create them seamlessly.
