We moved to IPfolio from another system that had been heavily customized for our organization. As a result of the customization, the tool was nearly unusable it was so slow. IPfolio was able to customize the platform for our unique needs and it is still lightning fast to search and get the information that we need. We use the platform across all of our IP assets - patents, trademarks, and trade secrets - as well as to correlate our assets to agreements and partnerships. We use IP Folio strictly for our Open Source and IDS submissions. We had searched numerous tools to manage this process but IP Folio was the only one that was light weight and could be tailored to our specific process. Salesforce imposes some limitations on reporting - but by extending with the standard tool Conga Composer we were able to have excellent reporting.

IPfolio trikes a balance between expensive proprietary database solutions and h. As it is build on Salesforce hence offers all of the functionality provided by Salesforce. IP Folio allows a cloud system to manage your IP matters from anywhere. You can keep track of patents, trademarks, contracts, etc. The system allows to access the patents and patent applications from USPTO and EPO sites by entering the correct application numbers.
