"It’s a budget-friendly option for IP validation."

What do you like best about IPinfo?

I like that IPinfo is using good IP validation, without the high cost of similar services such as MaxMind and it helps me validate IP addresses, check fraud risk and sort connections as VPN or proxy. And I have been using it for five years now and found the accuracy to be on a par with more expensive alternatives and its API is easy to integrate as any automated task can be done easily. What do you dislike about IPinfo?

There’s some inconsistency with the validation results of IPinfo; it misses out at times on the fake IPs, while also on some real ones, it flags them as suspicious and it also appears more prone to occasional service interruptions when contrasted with supposed alternatives such as Neustar. And also even though it does what’s basic well, it’s missing a few of the advanced fraud detection functionalities that are included in premium services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IPinfo solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows me to verify IP addresses accurately and hence it significantly reduces the risk of any fraudulent activity occurring on my platform and it also helps me to properly categorize connections such as vpn or proxy which is important for me in implementing security measures and managing access effectively. It is of an affordable scale, meaning I can scale up my operations without having to worry about high costs and for all that, it still remains a very practical and cost-effective solution for IP validation, generally. What do you like best about IPinfo?

What do you like best about IPinfo?

There are various IP validation service out there in the internet and while most work just fine, none of them have such powerful API like IPinfo. The API of IPinfo has a vast documentation, so it is quite easy to use and it can cater to almost all of you query about an IP address which most other services fail to do. What do you dislike about IPinfo?

The only reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 rating is because it doesn't have an option to export the results in other formats except for json when using their API and even on their website, you can only export to excel and no other formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IPinfo solving and how is that benefiting you?

IPinfo gives us useful information about any IP address that we query through their API and we can usually given the information in json format which can be later used, or if the website is being used, having the results in excel format is also possible which I think is more easier than using their API. The IPinfo API is quite powerful and gives IP information in real time without any delay and the adaptability of the API also helps me to fit my changing requirements without significant changes. Also the thorough yet simple approach of the documentation helped us smooth our integration even for challenging use situations. When I need specific geographic information for compliance or security needs, sometimes the information is not available which is understandable but is still quite annoying. Instant info on possible threat IPs like those from proxies or data centers helps me improve the security of our system. What do you like best about IPinfo?

Thanks to IPinfo, I can all the accurate and detailed information I need on potential clients and the salesforce link has been also very beneficial as it eases outreach and instantly updates crm data, saving a huge amount of both time and effort. And for me, just being able to sort and filter contacts on criteria of importance was a total game changer since it vastly improved my efficiency. I sometimes have to slow down because the interface doesn’t show me all my data clearly and when working with more datasets, you start to see that the flow may need some work and I also feel that the next enhancements might help with the problem of high costs, an issue of concern for small teams. What do you like best about IPinfo?
