I liked its free plan. At the beginning of our application launch we were not sure if it would fit our requirements. Therefore I went for a free plan. After 3 months of work, we are satisfied with the result and we have reached the limit of the free plan. So we upgraded to Basic plan a fews days ago.
I recommend it for any startup or business that wants to be flexible in request identification.
Integration is super easy, developer friendly!
Only once we had to contact customer support and they helped us solve our request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far everything is perfect, I haven't noticed any drawback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I heavily rely on IPinfo to monitor high fraud scored connections or connections from dubious sources. And places where specific use cases demand accurate IP intelligence, say VPN usage and fraudulent activity identification or even retrieving geographical and abuse contact details for certain ISPs, then this is an invaluable product. The platform still runs circles around most alternatives I’ve tried, especially in terms of reliability and integration. While it’s not without its quirks - like occasional inaccuracies in pinpointing locations or challenges with recognizing mobile carriers in some regions - those are fairly isolated cases. And so far, they haven’t really caused much harm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My experience has been only good, particularly when I had to mark and count traffic for security needs. All the information is easily accessible even for IPs behind a VPN or proxy; I simply need to type the IP in the box. IPinfo worked perfectly once I moved to a subscription plan and I have been looking at alternative uses for its capabilities to maximize it's value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this point, it performs as predicted and I can't think of anything, maybe price cuts for repeated searches of the same address over a brief duration would be great. But I did notice that navigating IPinfo.io has become more difficult with the latest dashboard changes and my own IP often shows up in the incorrect location and zipcode due to somewhat imprecise mapping of IPs. IPinfo is very easy to use and even more easy to integrate into your existing system.
They provide you with very good documentation and support so we were able to integrate it fully into our system within a day.
Also they provide both free and paid plan and in the free plan you're given 50K API credits which I think is more than enough to try and test them out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything about IPinfo. But instead I would very much recommend them since they provide such good service at such low cost.
Also their API is very powerful and can handle massive number of requests simultaneously so there shouldn't any downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We can now easily and reliably have IPinfo automatically look for and block strange behavior. This way, we don't have to go through the trouble of manually checking identification information, danger signs and bot activity. With IPinfo's fraud detection APIs, we can now quickly add fraud detection to our platform, which makes it much better at what it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I overall very much like IPinfo but the reason I gave it a 8 out of 10 rating is due to it's service availability. Though rare, there have been cases where IPinfo was down for a few hours, which also affected us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use IPinfo for location based pricing on our website which helps us to guarantee that proper information is being shown depending on the visitor's location. IPinfo is reliable, simple to use and very consistent with the results and is always adding new functionality and one major benefit is the possibility to test it before making any cash commitment. Although the service performs as expected, adding functions like being able to view report about any searched IP during the week or report about selected IP addresses would be rather beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From my experience, IPinfo is one of the best IP lookup services on the Internet. It provides a vast amount of information about any IP address that you may provide and these information can be categorized into two main groups: geolocation and the company hosting the IP address. And all of these information can be easily accessed using its built-in API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to dislike about IPinfo as they have met all of my needs and are also reasonably priced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using IPinfo for the last few years, and our experience has been pretty good. Integrating its API into our systems was very straightforward and saved my team a lot of time. Also, the customer support was quick with all the valuable information, which was influential throughout the deployment process. I also like that it gives me current and comprehensive IP information, including the city, region and country associated with an IP address. This is sent, in addition to other details like postal code, time zone, ASN, etc., for the betterment of our analytics and online security measures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
IPinfo is very expensive as even their basic plan starts as $99 per month but even after paying $99, most of the useful features like Abuse rate and Privacy Detection are locked and you need to upgrade to the Business Plan to unlock them, which starts at $499 per month. A great, free resource that gives you useful info in a sentence. Info was reliable and easy to understand; API was also simple to use. We need domain info that Host.io provides to fill in our own business database. Other sources we looked at have fewer pieces of "noisy internet" info and more real companies and websites. Nothing is upsetting me, and everything works the way it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using IPinfo for almost 4 years now and we did not encounter any issues with IPinfo for us to dislike it. Instead they have been super helpful and their support is available almost 24/7 to solve any problem you may have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thanks to a fast deployment by IPinfo, our security team was up and running in no time to catch any fraudulent activity and scammers worldwide. We always make sure that a piece of software is easy to use, well documented and has an extensive list of APIs and so this heads our list. Because of this we could scale our gaming company and identify cheaters by the droves. It helped in the validation of IP geolocation, as well as privacy data for users. First and most important, there is the reliability and accuracy of IPinfo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I not sure if it is a problem with IPinfo or the IP address itself, but when usually IPinfo provides us with all the details about an IP address, including it's zip code. But for some IP addresses, no zip code is provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
