I started using this program years ago. Loved it then. The more they seem to charge the worse the renders seem to be. It has become more complicated and difficult to use over the years, and it's much more expensive now. I spent hours trying to render videos that should have been covered by my plan, but they kept charging me more. The videos rendered were completely useless, just blurry images, and when I tried to fix it, they wanted more money. Customer service was also a letdown; their response seemed like it was written by AI and didn't address the quality issues I experienced. The overall experience was just horrible, leading me to cancel my platform and service. Also, when I gave a prompt to create a video, it charged me for renders with useless information, and the resulting videos had missing audio or images. Trying to fix those issues led to more charges. I didn’t like the credit system, because subscription-based credit models usually make it harder to understand what you’re actually paying and harder to predict control costs. I also wasn’t very happy with the user interface. Even the initial setup felt a bit confusing, and that was before I even started my project.

On top of that, I found the AI engine to be what I’d call “lazy.” By that I mean it would do things during content generation like dressing a group of people in almost the exact same clothing. That’s obviously not what you want, and then you end up spending more credits (and more money) to fix what I saw as poor AI output.

In my current production cycle, I utilize InVideo strictly as a standalone video generation and editing tool, meaning I do not currently have active integrations linked to our primary content management systems or external software stacks. However, looking at the platform's integration architecture, if our workflow had expanded, we would have evaluated deploying their native publishing connections to platforms like YouTube and TikTok, alongside their cloud storage links for Google Drive or Dropbox asset syncing. For our present requirements, the core standalone features provide a complete out-of-the-box solution without requiring these third-party hooks, but the infrastructure is there to support scaling for those who need it.

For support and onboarding, I had a back-and-forth conversation with customer service where I explained my frustrations and why I didn’t think the platform was a good fit. InVideo AI did not work for me at all. The platform was confusing and the avatar builder used up all my credits even after uploading multiple videos. The result looked terrible. I contacted support and tried resolving it through their helpdesk but nothing was actually fixed. I was also charged before I had any real chance to use the platform.
