It is a platform that offers security when connecting remotely to a server, protecting it from mishandling by an inexperienced user or a third party. The ease of connection it offers to users since it provides the way to connect through a web interface or an installed client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have found it to be a useful tool, and we cannot find a disadvantage. We could mention that the administration interface is simple, and perhaps its appearance could be improved a bit to be more user-friendly for the administrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about OVD is that we can use Linux and Windows applications side by side. We have been using OVD for many years since they were a startup company. Inuvika has been very supportive of the platform and we have worked well together throughout our time. I can say that it is a very functional system for our end users. The only thing I can say that a dislike is the time zone difference between Inuvika engineers and ours. We have to jump around time zones a lot to get things done. I can not say there I do not like the platform in any way it has worked well for us over the years and has encouraged us to embark on a new business venture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inuvika is easy to deploy. If you have all your systems in place, you can be up and running in a production-ready environment in less than 1 hour. You do not need to deploy a multitude of VMs per user either, so your server footprint is considerably smaller than in traditional VDI solutions. It is easy to manage as well. The only complaint I have about OVD is the administration interface can feel a little "dated" and all over the place at first, however once you have become familiar with it you quickly forget about this, and you can focus on streaming your apps to end users. We like that OVD uses Linux desktops and can help companies reduce costs. It also has excellent security features such as two-factor authentication, making it safe to use in remote access environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that companies have a high hurdle in hiring. I feel that if there is a free license, such as a free license for up to 10 concurrent users, there will be a lot of adoption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great end user experience. Especially with the seamless app integration onto the desktop of your client device. Also supports USB redirection and high-end graphics.

Although the solution is highly-scalable, this would be great if it could be automated in some way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to connect from any device, without it having great features. Very fast, versatile and safe. In the case of technological renovations, enormous savings can even be made by continuing to use the equipment. Quick and efficient integration and deployment. Actually I don't see any disadvantage, perhaps if the price is reduced it would be great, although compared to other solutions, Inuvika's is by far the most economical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I hade a great experience while communicating with Alex Perkins about the architecture and some support incidents. Pricing is also very fair compared with other similair solutions such as VMware Horizon or Citrix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a personal downside, but OVD server is based on Linux. For us as a company we have a lot of Windows oriented engineers. Might take a little while to get support up to 2 speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple to deploy, based on Internet standards such as Windows and Linux.
Security is based on Active Directory and has MFA to gain security.

Sometimes Linux apps have some bugs and don't deploy to the desktop quickly.
The apps deployment depends on connectivity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The simplicity of the product. How to set everything up and the speed with which is can be setup. Depending on your environment this is definitely a solution to always keep in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We struggled with our installation, but that was due to customer not willing to open up all the ports required. It can take some configuration to get it working as you want it to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The end user experience is very good with little or no training required, it looks and behaves exactly as I'd expect a Windows desktop to look like, on any operating system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much to dislike when I tested the product out, although I would've liked to have had admin rights to test it further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
