What do you like best about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

The software is easy to use and also providing the online help. customer service is also available via telephone. Furthermore, the forms can be viewed prior to proceeding and worksheets are available to better understand how calculations are determined Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

It took so long to load the application to log in. Also, at times, it can be tricky to use if we arent used to working with the software before, but then again, they provide plenty tutorials and supports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

It offers most all of the forms our firm needs

it offers a comprehensive tax package covering everything we need but CRUT trust form 5667

it moves all carryovers from the prior year flawlessly

it is easy to use for beginners, very intuitive, offers multiple ways to enter data

does a good job of reviewing for errors

is simple to do e-filing

is simple to set up on a network

What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

2018 tax returns- 2019 tax season problems encountered - prior to this no dislikes except support:

Printing crashes that knocked you out of the software completely.

We had to work in Windows 7 compatibility mode until it was fixed late in the season by a Windows 10 update worked out with Proseries. Compatibility mode slowed everything down to a crawl.

Support took a minimum of 2 hours on hold

Proseries did away with chat which was faster and easier for support

Constant updates which sometimes caused a new problem that wasn't there before.

Consistency was a real issue.

Had to print Federal then go back and print State because it would print the state figures two lines above the actual line if you tried to print both federal and state at the same time.

Release of forms was behind the curve so we were held up waiting on a form to be finished and released on many returns.

I could go on with little things almost too numerous to count but these are the major items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intuit ProSeries Tax:

Sometimes transferring data via the cloud is challenging inside ProSeries, but as long as file paths are carefully recorded and stay the same, it can be done. What do you like best about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

We have built a practice on this product over the last 20 years. We went from 800 returns a year to well over 6000. Unfortunately, I do not believe this product has scaled with the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

1) Customer service. Queue times this year are 2 plus hours

2) "Please Reinstall" - has been the support lines answers to all our issues.

3) Product instability/performance. The bigger your Homebase, the longer the app load time. I've been buying High RAM/High CPU desktops for my entire staff to meet the needs of this program. By March, it's not uncommon for ProSeries to take 5+ minutes just to open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
