I find Intuit Mailchimp Email Marketing to be very user-friendly, especially when compared to our previous tool, MailerLite. Replicating is easier, making the task less of a hassle. I don't like that when importing contacts, it doesn't give an option to send emails only to newly added contacts, which leads to sending duplicate emails and increasing the unsubscribe rate. I’m constantly running into technical issues with Mailchimp - settings changing without my doing, survey merge tags not working correctly, and the list goes on. It works fine for sending our newsletter, but I wouldn’t rely on it for much beyond that. I’ve also found their support to be very slow and not particularly helpful. Mailchimp’s biggest strength is its simplicity combined with powerful automation. The campaign builder is extremely easy to use, even for non designers. The drag and drop editor, segmentation tools, and pre built customer journeys make it quick to launch targeted campaigns. What do you dislike about Intuit Mailchimp Email Marketing? Pricing becomes expensive very quickly as the contact list grows, which can be limiting for scaling startups. Some advanced automation features are locked behind higher plans. I like that Mailchimp integrates with BEEPro, which I use frequently to manage our email design system. The new Mailchimp builder is much improved — it makes it easy to create scalable, on-brand templates that the rest of my (mostly non-designer) marketing team can use with confidence. We send multiple newsletters each month, and Mailchimp’s integration capabilities make it simple to connect with other tools in our marketing stack. While the new builder is a big step forward, it still has some limitations when it comes to fine-tuning components for desktop vs. mobile layouts. Some areas of the UI aren’t very intuitive, and changes to the interface happen frequently without clear in-product notifications or guidance on where to find moved features. The tool now feels on par with other email design platforms, which makes it easier to scale our efforts and allow non-designers on the marketing team to confidently build campaigns.
