"Decent solution for our intranet"

What do you like best about Intrexx?

- easy and quick generation of custom applications for various data gathering and processing jobs

- good integration with internal identity management systems

- costefficient implementation for new internal applications

- integrated social network

- one single plattform with which we can realize almost all business requests where it comes to digitalizing simple processes that were before done on paper, excel etc.

- Good notifications system for jobs that are waiting on users to be done.

What do you dislike about Intrexx?

- it feels data(base) oriented and not content oriented. so expectations regarding a normal "content management system" for e.g. internal communications were not met for us from standard or do not reach state of the art expectations. custom implementations solved the problem.

- some custom programming for frontend (design and ux) feels complicated. basics are working, but if you have e.g. user experience expectations that on click something reacts in way A and not way B, is sometimes challenging to implement. i am not a programmer but I expect this results from the delivered html code by intrexx.

- complicated pages with lot of content take a bit to long to render (e.g. waiting 3sec till server sends response) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intrexx solving and how is that benefiting you?

- we use intrexx as our intranet and internal social network with the intrexx application "Share".

- we use ist also for content management (news),

- we have various custom applications e.g. for internal official document approval, making appointments, booking and administering internal educational initiatives

- we integrate our facebook and press-news streams

- we use it as our internal event calendar

- it is our hub, so we link also to various other internal applications from the intrexx plattform

- we use it as our company adressbook / user directory

- we realized our internal innovation innitative with intrexx (posting innovations, voting system, etc.)

What do you like best about Intrexx?

What do you like best about Intrexx?

- Complicated data structures can be constructed quickly in seconds.

- Very good and easily understandable user and permission management, so each user only sees the data and overviews they are allowed to see.

- Many preset elements from which one can choose and display data without any programming knowledge.

- Easy integration of data from different data sources and addressing various machines through a nice web interface.

What problems is Intrexx solving and how is that benefiting you?

Intrexx is a great platform for digitizing company structures into a "Digital Workplace" in an attractively packaged web interface that provides all the necessary overviews, functions, processes, and structures of the company. This includes networking all the systems used and automating regular processes.

"Smart and fast Development with Intrexx for our costumers"

What do you like best about Intrexx?

-Licence prices are very fair in comparison with other software products and United Planet offers good deals for costumers

-the support team is very fast and good

- all in all there is a very good partnermanagment service which helps us in helping our costumers. There are different events all over the year where partners can connect to each other and talk about new applications or projects

-you can start to build your own small applications after a few days! Even if you're not a developer.

-they offer ready-to-use applications which are always free to costumize so that they fit to the costumers Corporate Design or request

-as dataprotection is an important topic for our costumers I and our costumers see it as an advantage, that Intrexx is a german software

-features like the drag-and-drop option on the frontend, costumizing of portlets and grids, are very useful and have no need to login or use the Portalmanager (as backend)

-graphical development tools e.g. in the application or design area can be used via drag and drop elements which make it easy and fast to use and to build applications

-digitalization of processes via processmodule and drag and drop elements

-projects can be scaled - applications can be developed step by step with difeerent requests

-good integration of interfaces

-integration of not only internal employees but also external partners, suppliers or costumers

- there were some update problems from version 18. to 19. which bother us in present projects

- some costumers are very sceptic about Low Code Development in the beginning

-we built Digital Workplaces as Intranets for our costumers where the users are not only consuming but also producing content within the company

-the good integration of other systems is a good argument for our costumers to use Intrexx, as it is not replacing excisting systems but completing them

"Top-notch low code development plattform"

What do you like best about Intrexx?

Intrexx is a low code platform that allows you to create easily and flexibly amazing applications with little to now coding skills. However, if you are proficient in Groovy, Javascript or Velocity you will be able to make better use of all possibilities that Intrexx offers you. The user interface of the portal manager is very useful to guide you through the different steps in creating your application, e.g. for the design or user management. What do you dislike about Intrexx?

Sometimes you need to work your way around and in order to do that you need to know the system quite well. Before, the prices for starting out were a bit high but United Planet created a new rental licensing model which levels out the entry costs. Some difficulties that existed in Intrexx 18.03 were very well resolved with the new stable version of 19.03, I am very satisfied with the upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intrexx: Low Code Development at its best"

What do you like best about Intrexx?

- There can be small applications that can be created in a few hours as well as highly complex applications integrating business data from different sources needing man-years to create all in one portal.

- It takes literally days to learn and to start creating applications

- Still there are application development possibilities to fulfill the most complex needs and write business logic at its best

- There is a bunch of applications available that all can be customized until they fit 100% to your needs

- The connectors enable me to access data from wherever it comes from: SAP, relational databases, legacy Lotus Notes or modern OData: No matter where the data is: Intrexx can consume it and write it back (if needed)

- customizing and alignment with corporate identity is very easy with web technologies that everybody knows (CSS, JavaScript, etc.)

- users find a web portal that fits their needs no matter if they access it via mobile phone, tablet or high resolution displays because of default responsive design.

What do you dislike about Intrexx?

- because of the middleware character using the newest and most up to date trends in frontend webdesign is not always possible.

- the price for just "start using it" sometimes feels to high although it becomes cheaper and cheaper (relationwise) the more applications you use.

Recommendations to others considering Intrexx:

Don't look at the initial price for the first installation / application: Consider Intrexx as system replacing a lot of your existing applications and fulfilling all your future needs.

Think out of the box: as soon as you have started with Intrexx the application requirements will come automatically.

What do you like best about Intrexx?

Intrexx as Saas und Paas offers speed and agility in the development of web applications. External classes can be integrated through the Java openness of the platform and individual development is possible. The supplied Groovy APIs and JS APIs are powerful and high-performance. The three integrated programming languages Groovy, JavaScript and Velocity work hand in hand thanks to these APIs and enable the use of all common development methods. The process modeling section enables processes and workflows to be mapped and automated quickly. Various layouts can also be created and implemented. Standards such as Windows authentication, multi-tenancy and a wide range of interfaces such as REST, ODBC, common Microsoft products and much more are supported and function reliably. What do you like best about Intrexx?

No great specialist knowledge is required for Intrexx at the beginning. Certain business processes can be recreated quickly and without code. In addition, a large number of third-party systems (databases) can be integrated, which makes this tool flexible. The usability is simple and cover more and more cases with each new version. The support always tries to help as soon as possible, should a problem arise. Intrexx continues to develop every year. What do you like best about Intrexx?

Intrexx is very flexibly applicable. A huge advantage is that with little coding skills you can create already good applications.

Thanks to the structure in the portal manager with its several riders you can quickly and flexibly develop, manage and deploy your apps. In the rider ‘applications’ you can create and customize the frontend of your application just by dragging and dropping elements into the interface. In ‘process’ you can create smart workflows. In this case coding skills in Groovy (close to Java) are of great advance in order to use the full potential of this feature. With the help of the rider ‘users’ you can manage all users and the usage rights for your applications. In ‘design’ you can create or customize your layout with CSS. Due to the structure no HTML is needed. With the rider ‘integration’ you can easily arrange with ‘connectors’ your data exchange. Intrexx can consume or return flawlessly data with e.g. OData, SAP, IBM Lotus Notes, Microsoft Sharepoint and many more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
