"Difficult to access the software, tablets, iPad, cell phone devices cannot access Canvas software"

What do you like best about Interplay Learning?

The college spent $50+K for licenses for two programs the HVACR and Plumbing. Accessibility by the students and instructors was dismal creating a tremendous amount of frustration and anxiety for the Students and Instructor personnel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Interplay Learning?

Students and instructors were unable to access the software. Spent way too much time attempting to log on, and use, the instructional video locked up, knowledge check areas would not function. Customer service and tech support were non existent. Multiple concerns were brought up by my team, solutions were presented that did not solve the issues. Interplay Learning refused to support the licenses on their server, and insisted the licenses stay on our canvas despite the unaccessibility by students and instructor personnel. What problems is Interplay Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?

We purchased approximatley 250 licenses and used them in multiple classrooms over two full semesters of vocational instruction.

In that time frame 250 students and 20 instructors were not been able to effectively access the software. Students could access video content. The video content would lock up, there was minimal accessibility to the knowledge check areas. Customer service was almost non existence. There were multiple calls, emails, video meetings with Interplay Learning customer service representatives, but no solutions were found. Initially, customer service believed it was the tablets. We confirmed that the OS, memory, speed of the operating tablets exceeded their requirements. There were many areas that the IL personnel blamed for their software not working on the students and instructors tablets. These included, baud speed of the WiFi, the devices, the Operating System, the school application, the canvas application etc. The concerns continued for over 10 months.

I can honestly say that this product, although it has great marketing, it does not work as designed! Additionally the Interplay Learning Customer Service was non attentive to the use of their product.

"Set Up is Easy!"

What do you like best about Interplay Learning?

From an administrative side, Interplay is very easy to set up for new technicians. The company has people to help during set-up and the website is very easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Interplay Learning?

Sometimes bulk uploading can be a pain, but it seems to be the easiest way to get any number of techs added to the site. Other than that, I have no issues with the site! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Interplay Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a very dispersed maintenance team and don't always have an experienced employee who can do hands-on training with the day-to-day skills needed for multi-family apartment maintenance. We have a lot of employees who are handy-people and quick learners, and the easy-to-digest and virtual-but-hands-on methods on Interplay really work for our team.
