Intergraph allows coordination between team members and helps them prepare accurate work plans, as well as provides many unique tools that enable the team to collaborate and complete and follow up on many tasks at the same time. The records are good and enable us to access the submissions and know their status easily. Intergraph also enabled us to keep the work schedule always up-to-date and provided us with many reporting tools and summaries that show project progress rates as well as explain a detailed risk analysis. I did not find any technical problems while using Intergraph, but work must be done to upgrade the reporting tools so that we can cover all aspects of the project. Smart Construction helps aid the construction team in creating installation work packages as well as visually seeing the 3D model filtered down to the applicable components. The software is only as good as the team that sets it up for functionality and possibilities. What problems is Octave OnSite Construction Planning solving and how is that benefiting you? Smart Construction is similar to Smart Plant Review but with more functionality. We have preset filters created to help the Construction team isolate and locate the area, or work package being focused on. It is a great tool for those that did not come from the office or have design experience during the project as it is much easier to use to view and visualize the work. It's nice how jobs can be arranged and project data stored with Intergraph, and it allows all project stakeholders to collaborate to accurately track project details. I love tracking jobs, knowing their status and details, and having access to all the tools we need to produce reports, supervise subcontractors, and manage inventory. I don't think we can achieve positive results without careful training of the business team and other project partners on how all the tools work and how to work with them. Intergraph has provided us with an integrated system and procedures to ensure that all functions, including schedule tracking and updates, reporting, and record keeping, are done correctly. With intergraph smart construction, we were able to efficiently plan the sequencing of materials, fabrication cycles and purchase planning. What do you dislike about Octave OnSite Construction Planning? It was tough to integrate this software with BIM tools like tekla structure seamlessly and work on a common data environment. All the fabrication plants used to have their owm database and management systems for material procurement and planning.
