InsecureWeb has been very effective at detecting organizational data hosted on dark-web platforms. So far, we have identified four data breaches that have allowed for prompt actions to remedy the issues and safeguard our systems from unauthorized access and further data breaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about InsecureWeb? There is not much to dislike about InsecureWeb regarding functionality, as the tool achieves what it promises. However, the developers could try to implement an option for enabling a lighter theme on top of the largely dark-themed interface. What problems is InsecureWeb solving and how is that benefiting you? As a start-up technology company, my organization knows that data breaches of any magnitude would significantly impact our reputation with our loyal clients, hampering the company's push to become a market leader. As such, the IT department was tasked with implementing countermeasures to prevent such an occurrence from becoming a reality. As part of the Systems Administrator sub-department, we implemented Insecureweb to scan for any vulnerabilities to our staff's access credentials to ensure that malicious actors do not gain access to our systems. The tools enabled us to identify several breaches to our staff's access credentials, which allowed for quick countermeasures to be implemented to prevent potential client data leakages. The best thing I liked about InsecureWeb is that it scans the entire dark web for passwords/breaches of one's website. Now this helps a lot because you can proactively request your users to change their passwords and inform them about your data breach before they (worse) come to know about it from the news/internet. If the free plan could be made more generous, it would help the users who want to try before paying for it. Also, it doesn't allow checking of phising attacks (at least as of now). The system gave me information that I already know from my browser's internal alert systems. It related to old data breaches from previous years, mostly user accounts. The best feature of InsecureWeb, besides its excellent deep web and dark web scanning capability, is its ease of use. Within 15 min of interacting with the system, I could add my organization to the tool's database to allow for scanning organizational data that might be contained in dark or deep websites.
