"Global University Reach with Smart Access Restrictions"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

The global reach of it within the University is useful, while still allowing restrictions wherever needed. Most of the functionality is helpful. InFlow is the new system our Uni has started using for CPP, along with other things.

Customer Support is good in most cases, and integration is also available with other systems like Student Systems and Finance. It is not too difficult to use, and you can follow the Help Guides, as I use it every day at my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

Some feature enhancements take too long to be implemented based on their priority by the vendor.

It glitches every now and then fixes itself automatically which gets frustrating sometimes. As mentioned earlier, the Customer support is good in most cases but when it's not, you never know how long it's going to take for the issue to be fixed and most of the times you don't get an explanation as to how/why the issue occurred. "Easy to Use, but Support Channels Need to Be Clearer"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

I think InPlace is easy to use and some of its functionalities work pretty well for placement purposes. As we use this software every day, we appreciate that it is easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

When we run into issues with the system, it’s too difficult to find customer support. I think it would be helpful to have a chat option, or at least a dedicated email address, where we could send questions or support requests. For example, I’m currently experiencing some issues with logbooks and have a few questions, but I don’t know where to go for help, and the guides provided don’t address my specific questions or issues. Having a clearer support channel like this would make it easier to implement and integrate InPlace with our data and systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Educational Operations, But Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

I appreciate the ease of use of InPlace Software. I'm excited to try the feature that notifies us when someone earns a low score on an assessment or evaluation. The confirmation email feature and the placement manager tool are very easy to use. It's nice that all of our data is stored in one place, allowing me to quickly communicate with all stakeholders in a placement and download reports easily. These tasks are time-consuming, but with InPlace, they are done relatively quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

The merge fields don't always work well, and I get frustrated that I don't have more control over which merge fields exist. I would also like to better isolate agency personnel in merge fields. We had a lot of difficulty with onboarding. I felt like we weren't being heard and still run into issues due to the initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good database, tools can be lacking sometimes"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

Being able to store information and documents and use as a CRM - I use InPlace as my source and reference of information every day Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

I find it difficult to use with large amounts of information, tools such as bulk uploading agencies tend to not work very well for me. I have also had so many issues with the InFlow forms (which are thankfully being resolved) and I find exporting attributes (such as student documents) to be slightly lacking. "User-Friendly for Student Placements, Needs Better Mobile Support"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

I like that finding a student is easy with InPlace Software. Running field practice reports to figure out what's coming up is also easy. Setting it up wasn't too hard, and it's a part of my job as a lecturer to know when a student's placement is starting and to be able to read notes and plan ahead also record communications with students and AT's Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

Sometimes it logs out, there's too many tabs that you have to click on and open to find things, and feedback from ATs and students is that it isn't phone friendly, it could run better when being accessed from a phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Placement Management, but a Clunky Learning Curve for New Users"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

What I like most about InPlace Software is how it streamlines the entire placement process into one central, easy-to-manage system. Overall, it creates a more efficient and organised experience for both administrators and students, which is especially valuable in busy environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

One of the main challenges with InPlace Software is that the interface can feel a bit clunky and not always intuitive, particularly for new users. It can take some time to learn where everything is and how to navigate certain functions efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear workflow and easy document tracking, but it needs to be more user‑friendly."
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

It helps reduce a lot of manual follow-up, keeps the workflow clear, and makes it easy to track the required documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

Some parts of the system can feel unintuitive, especially for new users, and the overall setup is highly dependent on how each component is configured. The platform introduces many new terms and concepts, some of which overlap or influence each other in ways that aren’t always obvious. For example, features like Timesheets and Schedules can be confusing because their settings interconnect. Additionally, when setting up an Experience with a start and end date, those details do not automatically carry over when adding a placement experience on the student’s page, which leads to extra manual adjustments. "Uncluttered Faculty & Student UI with Easy-to-Find Action Items"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

The faculty and student user interface, it is uncluttered and the action items are easy to find on the toolbar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

From a UX/UI design perspective, I think the SuperUser interface is tricky to navigate, and the labeling of menu items is difficult to interpret. My impression is that InPlace is working to be excellent in a variety of areas to offer maximum flexibility for the University's unique placement workflow. What I think gets lost in the flexibility and adaptability offered by the system is a clear path forward in the interface for the University Staff responsible for placements. "Best there is but room for improvement"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

We can manage most of the processes of internship management in one place. Nice database is easy to update and correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InPlace Software?

Does not retain student records. Being able to use this for alumni would be fantastic. Add that add-on, please, to roll the record to an alumni database section to maintain the records for a smaller cost to all parties.

Difficult for students to generate a report of their hours to retain for future licensing.

Unable to currently manage the first stages of onboarding students in INplace due to issues with adding them manually, then having them added by the system. It currently creates two records, and merging them is difficult and not included in the current costs.

Advanced training for reports is slow because we need to request it.

Confirming who signed off on timesheets is a problem Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Solution for Student Placement Management"
What do you like best about InPlace Software?

I really like how user-friendly InPlace Software is across different devices. It's been easy to use on my laptop, desktop, and phone without any issues. This seamless access makes me more productive since I can work wherever I am. I appreciate how InPlace has helped ensure that nothing falls through the cracks by having everything in one place, like provider and student details, making it easy to see how all my placements are going.
