Highly recommend for anyone just getting started. **What do you dislike about Innago?** Nothing major, but if I was picky it would be nice to be in more control of the email communication sent to the renter. We require renters insurance which the renter has, but they are still receiving emails about setting it up. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** Innago is solving the problem of how overwhelming and confusing property management can be for a new landlord. I've not seen another app that has everything I need from screening tenants to signing leases to collecting rent and even them submitting maintenance tickets and sending chat messages. Its complete and free. Great app and pricing! **What do you dislike about Innago?** Very little, if anything! I got one tenant concern about the cost of processing a credit card payment. Otherwise the tenants and I love it! I do juggle several partnerships as I own alot of units and it was a bit difficult to implement for me because the phone number I use for verification of myself is of course just me. I chatted with tech support and they handled it quickly and easily. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** Innago is making it easier for me to manage my properties saving time and money. Also tenants pay early through use of the check feature. At this point I have not hired a property manager saving me over 10% per month on my expenses. ### 5. We’ve been trying to transfer as many of our tenants to paying online as possible, and Innago provides a good service - for free! They offer a few really key options for rent collection, too, like the ability to edit rent for pro-rated amounts, charge late fees automatically, and allow the landlord to select if they would like their tenant to pay the transaction fee, or the landlord. Right now we have it set up so that we pay for bank transfers (a $2-3 fee per transaction), but if the tenant wants to pay with a credit or debit card, they must cover that charge (I think it’s 3% of the total amount). **What do you dislike about Innago?** As of May 2025, the only complaint I have about Innago is that they don’t currently offer a Spanish language option, which many of my tenants would need. Hopefully Innago is able to add a Spanish option down the line! **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** We want the ease of being able to collect rent digitally, with some added protections like being able to stop accepting online rent payments. Many of our tenants have requested to pay rent via Zelle, but we have concerns about difficulties during evictions (not being able to stop accepting payments without suspending your entire Zelle account). Overall, changing to online application and rent payment, was an easy process. **What do you dislike about Innago?** Having to wait three days (actually closer to a week, if you include non-business days) for the first payment to go through, is somewhat of a bummer as the new tenant expects to move in quicker. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** More streamlined application and approval of new tenants with much less paperwork. Free publication of rental ads at multiple nationwide advertisers gives a much wider choice of prospective tenants. Both for my benefit and for the tenants. Very seamless for us to pick up on! **What do you dislike about Innago?** The only thing I haven’t figured out is the setting up process. At the top they have a bar tracking your progress for completing setting everything up. I have completed some of those items, or thought I had, so I’m not sure how to make that go away or fill out what they would like me to for it to go away **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that the company is focused on continuously getting better. There are features I don't use since I already have a built-in network to support (i.e. maintenance requests through direct communication channels), but overall it's what I'll continue to use since it seems great for larger scale. I haven't had to request customer support, so would suggest that as evidence it works well. **What do you dislike about Innago?** I would like to see how/if they adapt more technology to it, like integration with Adobe, AI, etc. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't live in the city that I have my property, so it's nice to use something that can help track, notify, and stay on top of management activity. Biggest example that I can think of is that when recording payments, they're limited to Cash, Check, and Money Order. Almost all of our tenants are now using Zelle, Chime, and Applepay-I just end up having to mark as Cash. While this is minor, it is one of those things that need to be updated, and hasn't yet, that would make things better. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest change is our consistency in the tenant experience. An example is reminders of upcoming rent that Innago sends automatically have improved our rent collection, as well as prompting tenants to let us know if they're running into a problem and they will be late a few days. It is a very user-friendly program that allows you to keep track of your tenant’s information such as leases and proof of renter insurance. It also helps with keeping your expenses organized and easy to retrieve in friendly reports, which is very nice to have come tax time! One of my favorite features is that you can set up Innago to help screen potential tenants (criminal check, credit check and eviction check) along with an application. The process is so easy to do. All you do is get the potential tenants email address and Innago sends them an email that contains a link in which they can go to and fill out the requested information. Innago takes care of the rest and lets you know what they find. It’s also very convenient for the tenants because they receive (if you set it up) a friendly reminder that the rent is coming due a few days before the due date. It allows the tenants to also pay directly online, so there is no more mailing in the monthly rent or dropping it off at the office. If you have questions, the Support Group from Innago are the best! They are fast to reply to your questions in a live chat with easy-to-follow instructions! This product is very beneficial for this line of work, making your life simpler! **What do you dislike about Innago?** I honestly can't think of any right now! Every issue I have had when using Innago has been resolved easily and in a timely manger. For example, one of my tenants uploaded her renter's insurance and I kept getting repeated emails about it. Unbeknownst to me, I was required to "verify" it before she could make a rent payment. This led to some confusion. I had experience running, a small business of short term vacation rentals, but this was very different. We can't use the same platforms that I would use for that. It is considered affordable housing meaning the rent is fairly low and I need things to be kind of easy and streamlined for tenants as well. I thought I was going to have to create a portal through something like PayPal or something else. And finding Innago and having it be a free service, with as many extensive options as it has, was truly a lifesaver. One of the reasons I had to take over was that the old manager was awful and making so many mistakes. So coming in and trying to catch up on accounts payable, expenses, income past rent not collected, and more was overwhelming. This was straight forward, helpful, covered so many things, I felt grateful. So many programs are so expensive or yearly cost, and a small business like ours does not have the funds to put towards that Facts. Innago has come through in so many ways and I intend to stay a loyal customer. Any feedback I have is only because I want to help them understand our experience, because I have no doubt they will just continue to make it better and better. **What do you dislike about Innago?** Only that I can tell there are some kinks to work out. Theres a few things with invoices implementing lease terms. But I truly mean it when I say its only kinks to work out as they just keep streamlining and getting better. Im happy to be using it now. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** A big part is simply logging the monthly rent, bing able to see past due invoices. We have a few spaces that have electric submeters, so being able to add the invoicecs there. I am truly one person doing all of this for the first time. Innago makes sense, and it helps me keep things straight forward but recorded as this isnt even my normal day job. I also appreciate that for a few tenants who are difficult, it allows for documenting they can se real time. ### 42. With an apartment complex and multiple single family homes, Innago has been a huge help. A good amount of our tenants love being able to pay their rent through the app for only a $2 fee. They also appreciate the ability to report maintenance issues through the app. I did a lot of research before choosing Innago because I was looking for a way for tenants to pay online without being charged fees myself and without the tenant being overcharged. This was the perfect solution at no cost to me! **What do you dislike about Innago?** One thing that could be improved is the income section where you see invoices. Sometimes, it’s hard to navigate to find a future schedule of all invoices for a specific tenant. The ease of integrations and the implementation time it took was very minimal, allowing us to use the product daily. If you have any issues, customer support is there to assist, and are pretty responsive. **What do you dislike about Innago?** I wouldn't say there are things that are a downside. I use it almost every day. I could quickly set up the things I wanted to use. I tried several other property mgmt solutions, but I didn't like those. I'm a small scale owner/landlord with only several homes, but I manually manage them. I liked the flexibility that I can use features (payment collection, listing, etc) if I want but I'm not forced to do. This allows me to pick and chose what I need. Their supprt is also very responsive and helpful, I had only one case but it was handled professionally and timely. Innago might not be as feature rich as some other paid alternatives, but it is perfect for my needs. I'm glad I found this, keep up the good work. **What do you dislike about Innago?** Would be good to have more integrations on the listing side, ie publish to more vendors, such as Redfin. I miss several admin pages, for managing payees, categories, etc. Ie. I made a typo in one of the Payee name and there was no way for me to fix it. The UI is a bit convoluted in some cases, a "common" use case is to change the rent, and it took me some time to find where to go. I think it was hidden under Tenants --> then leases, it would be better to somehow rething the DX. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use to manually track maintenance, payments, repairs, leases, dates, and pretty much everything in a google sheet. It is error prone, slow, hard to build reports, etc. Innago allows me to perform all these in a nice, intuitive way and I can access the reports I need quickly. ### 50. It takes care of everything!  From screening tenants,  to background checks, to creating a lease, and signing it electronically, to rent collection, and even maintenance reporting. The tenant portal is nice and makes me look professional.  They can submit maintenance requests, send messages, and it keeps everything organized in one spot for them (and me!). **What do you dislike about Innago?** The onboarding wizard was great, but didn't seem to exactly mimic the flow I had for my first renter and caused me to have to jump around a bit. I called support to understand why it was showing that one section was not complete. I found that there was a radio button I had missed where I needed to select my bank as the place they would send money for rent. Since I'd already entered my banking info, I would have that it would have defaulted to that. Also the radio button was hard to see. Still, their support was excellent and got me taken care of in quick order. **What problems is Innago solving and how is that benefiting you?** Innago is solving the complexity of managing rental properties by automating and streamlining key tasks that used to take me a lot of time and effort. It handles tenant screening, background checks, lease creation, e-signatures, rent collection, and maintenance requests—all in one platform. The biggest benefit for me is organization and professionalism. The tenant portal keeps everything in one place, making communication smooth and eliminating scattered emails or texts. The automated rent reminders and online payments also reduce late payments, and the ability to create lease templates saves time for future rentals. Another huge plus is that their customer support is responsive and knowledgeable which is important since I have very limited time. When I had an issue with the onboarding wizard, they quickly identified the problem and helped me fix it. And it being free to me addresses concerns about another thing eating away at my profits. The system pays for itself through tenant-paid background checks and small processing fees.
