From my point of view, Inkscape is an excellent free tool that allows you to vectorize image files and convert them into vector files that you can export in different formats. The software offers powerful tools to generate the output file tailored to your needs. In my case, I have used it to generate gcode files to engrave logos, shields, drawings, etc., with both professional machine tools and 3D printers adapted with a "maker" philosophy to be able to use them for engraving on wood or similar materials. IT IS FREE!!!! It has all the features that competitors offer except the fancy AI features of Adobe Illustrator. Offers great support for SVG formats and now supports CMYK and RGB, which is a game changer for printing needs as well, so great integration. You can make anything you want quite easily.
