**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max A. | VAT Risk Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

There is not much to like. Tech support for crashing and inadequately programmed labs is a waste of time. No QA on their posted materials to check for quality

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

Very few of their instructors are good. Most never practiced or reviewed their posted material to make sure they are presentable. Labs are a crash fest

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They don't solve any lab problems. A tech email will arrive a day later asking which lab and to prove screenshots. Of something you were forced to close when it crashed.

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I like the flexibility that it offers. It allows me to attend my boot camps from my home and not have to worry about traveling to attend in person.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The first boot camp that I attended I was mailed hard copy material. I like having physical books that I can carry around and make notes on. During my last boot camp I was only given access to digital courseware that you weren't able to print and it was looked to one computer.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to be able to attend boot camps but they weren't offered where I am located. My job wouldn't pay the cost for me to travel to a boot camp. This allowed me to attend the boot camp.

**Reviewed by:** Jjj W. | Sr. Cyber Security Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I was searching for a cost effective solution for reverse malware training. I wanted a direct solution and I found it at INFOSEC. Coupled the training with an actual certification from IACRB, I was preparing to enhance my skill set in cyber security in reverse engineering malware (REM) in order to widen my marketability. To date, I have been very successful and with the online training modules and ability to take the entire exam process from home on a secure remote connection, was absolutely perfect for today's cyber professional.

I would like to see more hands on labs and an expanded practice exam questions to make sure the exam taker is very prepared.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The skills presented by the instructor where right to the point as well as the knowledge base quizes made chapter review easier to understand. I was amazed on how easy it was to sit in class, follow the instructor and then ask questions to better understand the course to be prepared for the final exam. Amazing job.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I guess with COVID and all becoming zoom meeting it was at times hard to follow the screens. I would for next time plan to have a mirror TV in order to appreciate more the content and while doing this gather my nodes.

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

Look no further, InfoSec is the path to go in order to get certified.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem I'm solving is having to jump from training to training to realize that I was not near close to pass the test. With the skills here at InfoSec I understood the content, asked and got my questions answered as well as was offered tips on how to remember it better for when I performed the final exam. Just great skills.

  ### 29. Great course options, current content, well-paced training!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | Senior Programmer Analyst / HIPAA Security Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

In addition to the wide range of skill-building offerings, from tech-specific to management-oriented, I love the ability to test my skills at the beginning, during the course, and upon completion to see for myself how much I've learned and progressed. Also, the individual lesson lengths are perfect when you're busy and want to take in an entire kernel in one sitting and let it ruminate while you're away working between lessons. Nicely paced, nicely done!

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

A web app would be nice, rather than having to access via my phone's browser. Other than that, nice work!

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Broad range of cybersecurity management and administration topics, as well as certification prep and knowledge building. Definitely helped with ISACA and HIMSS CEUs!!

  ### 30. Security Plus Boot Camp Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose s. | Enterprise Service Desk Support Specialist V (Tier 2) , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

I love the fact that I was able to take the boot camp from the comfort of my home. The material was very easy to understand and the presenter teaching the course did a great job.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The one thing I did not like is that the class was literally read from the book verbatum. If I am going to pay over a $1000 for a class and it's just someone reading a book I already have, I can just buy the book and read it my self and save some money.

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

Make sure you have time to study. The course is great, but you only get out of it what you put into it. I had a week to sit in my house and study and take the boot camp. I know not everyone has that time, but you need to have time to put into this, or you will not get the results you are looking for.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in IT work so my job required me to have security plus to maintain my job, but it has allowed me to advance in my career, and I have been introduced to things in the workplace that I did not know about before studying them in the course material, and it helped me be prepared for it.

  ### 31. Great services and great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert F. | CIO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

So many courses and topics on the platform. I thought it was great to find such a wide range of courses and all for one price. I have learned a lot already. The NICE mapping was also greatly appreciated to map out skill sets against the NIST and other USA agencies that are investing in rolling out recommendations to the public for Cyber Security.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

This is mostly Cyber Security, so some underlying skills may be needed to understand some of the courses. I think there is a good group of start courses to counter this in most cases, but there were some areas that I had to ensure I was already aware of on my own as well.
Boot camps look great, but they are expensive. Better get your company to pay for these. The overall subscription plan is a great price, but the boot camps go past my personal budget.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, I have been building a larger foundation of my understanding of CyberSecurity. It is a rapidly changing market. While there are a lot of free resources on the NIST site and other government pages, I think the InfoSec training courses knock it out of the park for more practical and step-by-step instructions. This was great to get into the details a bit more.

  ### 32. High quality study materials

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos N. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The web interface can be improved (fluidity, graphical view etc.). The platform needs a more interactive way with the user, thanks to recent web technologies. It would be great to know how old is a course, in the description, so we make sure to have the latest content available.

Infosec platform and content are perfect to build a learning path when onboarding new collaborators. It also helps to manage skills and competencies for career advancement.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

The class was taught by a competent subject matter expert that went above and beyond to relate the materials to real-world applications. The study materials were well organized and flowed well with the instruction.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

There was way too much information to digest in one week and participants must come to the course with the understanding that there will be extra study time needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

Be prepared to be focused on only the course during the course. It moves at a quick pace so some note-taking skills are highly recommended.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a cybersecurity professional and routinely work in a CISSP-centric field that requires the foundational and advanced skills covered in the course. The course helped bridge gaps that I previously had in my professional knowledge which have benefited the programs that I have worked on since.

  ### 36. Use Infosec Skills for Self-Study and CPE

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John V. | Information Security Auditor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Infosec Skills?**

My favorite part is that it is self-study. It can be accomplished when I have free time and at my pace. I am able to revisit sessions as much as I would like.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

I need more hands-on experience. This product gives minimal ability for application of what is learned. Even when hands-on experiences are offered, they are often cookie cutter and not real-world (i.e. using real tools, downloading the tools yourself, etc.).

**Recommendations to others considering Infosec Skills:**

Great training for an affordable price. Can't beat it.

**What problems is Infosec Skills solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am benefiting from obtaining low-cost CPE for my certifications and job requirements. The training solves a problem of budget for training. Also, it allows me to prepare for specific other certifications on a budget.

Infosec Skills is helping me acquire hands-on experience with cybersecurity concepts and tools, which I would not be able to acquire without a service such as this. The benefits have been bountiful; learning new tools, acquiring knowledge, preparing for certifcations, and more.

The instructor kept us on schedule while maintaining an enjoyable and engaging class.

My connection was maintained and I don’t think I was dropped once all week.

**What do you dislike about Infosec Skills?**

The only thing I disliked about the camp was self inflicted. I was finishing my last term at school while attending the bootcamp so my focus was split.
