InformaCast has proven to be a reliable and effective application for broadcasting messages in real time to our user base of over 10,000 Cisco phones. It is also easy to integrate. **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** The biggest concern that I would have is the lack of server redundancy. However, Singlewire has notified me that they have a solution called resiliency that they will be releasing in September of 2014 which should allow us to setup a backup InformaCast server in a separate data center. **Recommendations to others considering InformaCast:** I would highly recommend speaking with the sales team who are very professional, and ask for a demo. Once you try it, you can get a feel for how it works and then ask the sales team any questions. **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we first purchased InformaCast, its initial use was for Bell Schedules and for intra-office paging -- which worked very well. Over the years, the primary purpose of InformaCast has evolved to become our Campus Emergency Warning System used by the UF police department. In the event of a campus emergency, we use Informacast to broadcast text and audio in real time to over 10,000 IP speakers and phones. ### 4. The developers and project managers are nearly clairvoyant when identifying a need or requirement that their product can meet and likely exceed. Their ability to continue to do this doesn't come at the expense of reliability or entrenched operability and features. **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** I can't find anything I dislike. Maybe grumpy Humoctopi! **Recommendations to others considering InformaCast:** Do it, you'll be impressed! **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Informacast saves us time, resources and money by not having to continue to use a legacy PA system. Integration and migration from our legacy system to pure VoIP with Informacast has been seamless! ### 5. It has been a solid piece of software since installation a couple of years ago **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** we needed to deploy the product without any additional wiring / speaker installation in the building. Informacast integrated with our Cisco Call Manager product and was able to achieve what our goals were. ### 6. The support staff is convenience. **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** I haven't found any dislike of this InformaCast. It is working perfectly what we needed. **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** We do not have a paging system in our manufacturing facility. We heard about singlewire that will meet our requirements for the paging system. The benefit is able to broadcast the messages to all phones in one round. ### 8. Troubleshooting using the online documentation is by far the most comprehensive I've ever used; it explain each root causes. Prompt replies when opening trouble ticket is much appreciated as well. **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** I honestly cannot think of any at this point? **Recommendations to others considering InformaCast:** This fits very well with any Cisco UCM, it also support any model of IP speaker. If you're looking to integrate with legacy paging system - LPI is a nice option. I also like the fact that it supports virtualization - less footprint and server to manage. **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Worked this product in the public sector, also lots of K12 installs and it worked as advertised. ### 11. Additionally, their support team is very helpful and knows their software and usually can help resolve issues on the first call. **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** We have tried to use the Legacy Paging Interface product that integrates analog paging systems with Informacast. Unfortunately, there is a good reason that it is called Legacy Paging Interface--it is available to integrate analog systems that are already existing if you have no other option for integration. We installed a 'new' analog system because it was 'cheaper' and it was very difficult to integrate. Definitely not cheaper for setup time. **Recommendations to others considering InformaCast:** Once setup and integrated with CUCM, Informacast is very scalable to add more locations, speakers and phones. Just add the licensing you need for the number of devices and set up the speakers, recipient groups, and dialcast options. **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Informacast to provides paging through our Cisco phones and speakers for emergency and informational notifications. ### 13. Especially involving my interaction with the engineering and sales staff. The engineering guys answered every question, gave advise, over viewed documentation, and were a pleasure to interact with. The sales team were just as polite and responsive. They helped access exactly what I needed and not what a typical sales team would push to get in a quick "up sell". **What do you dislike about InformaCast?** Not a thing. There is honestly not one thing that I would have to say negatively about this entire upgrade process. **Recommendations to others considering InformaCast:** Best multicast paging system on the market. **What problems is InformaCast solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have upgraded our InformaCast off of the older Windows platform and have only experienced smooth sailing so far. ### 14.
