InfluxDB is able to scale elastically with its ability to utilize sophisticated operations such as pipe forwarders to send one function’s output into that of another with the ability to tag values in a function. In addition,InfluxDB is utilized currently for the monitoring of time series data, forecasting, creating of alert rules, and API development with a focus on monitoring infrastructure networks, and in tying some of the issues around data reconciliation to billing as in the case of a typical monitoring enterprise tool. Best thing is about having API so no need of setup in server side. Also being open source, easy to setup with less dependencies and being more suitable for time series data.
