Before using it, following participants over several days or weeks meant a heavy manual burden: scheduling repeated check-ins, chasing people for updates, and often losing the spontaneity of in-the-moment reactions. The benefits I see: Time efficiency — I no longer need to organize multiple live touchpoints to track a participant's experience over time. Tasks are scheduled and delivered automatically, freeing up my time for analysis rather than logistics. Authenticity of data — participants log their experience as it happens, in their own environment, which reduces the recall bias you get with retrospective interviews. Scalability — I can run studies with more participants over longer periods without proportionally increasing the research team's workload. Centralized, richer evidence — having video, photo, and written feedback in one place makes it easier to build compelling, evidence-based narratives for clients or internal stakeholders, going beyond what a transcript alone can convey. Overall, it lets me move from "snapshot" research to a more continuous, realistic view of user behavior — which strengthens the credibility and depth of the insights I deliver. I find Indeemo incredibly easy to use and quick, especially with their amazing new AI tool that makes analysis and prompting smooth and fast. I appreciate their strong system, which never goes down, and the 24/7 service that's fast and responsive, including human support that helps with all things design, fieldwork, and analysis. The AI tool also stands out for supporting analysis and finding information quickly. I enjoy the ability to classify participants myself, without needing extra support and at my own pace. The AI-driven summary and analysis feature has been tremendously helpful, acting as a reliable assistant for the studies I conducted using Indeemo. What distinguishes Indeemo is how it brings qualitative research to life, creating a sense of intimacy that is often lacking in other approaches. The platform immerses you in the everyday environments and routines of participants, capturing subtle details that traditional research methods frequently overlook. With Indeemo, participants can freely document their day using their phones, rather than being confined to a laptop or desk. This flexibility adds a layer of context that makes the resulting insights feel more authentic, nuanced, and relatable for clients. The app is user-friendly for participants, easy and efficient for researchers to implement, manage and moderate, and exceptionally effective at revealing the real-life stories behind the data. The hype reels we produce using Indeemo have become a feature that clients now specifically request in deliverables. Indeemo easily integrates into qualitative projects and is now our ethnographic platform of choice. Indeemo helps solve the challenge of getting clients closer to consumers’ everyday lives at a time when in-person access is often limited. It brings clients directly into participants’ homes and routines in a way that feels natural and immersive, even when physical entry isn’t possible. This has been especially valuable in a post-COVID world, where face-to-face research isn't as attractive for participants or clients. At the same time, it makes it far more cost-effective to connect with people across the country or overseas, giving clients the reach and depth they need without the barriers of distance or budget. It's fairly intuitive across it's UX design and have frequently used the AI analysis tool to capture summary insights or key quotes to support my research argument. I also appreciate the filters to help quickly navigate responses from participants and it's super quick to set-up a research study with minimal friction. I have used Recollective and the option to change the design across studies and personalise it helps to make it more appealing for kids to submit responses as well as engage in the platform - this includes implementing features like emoji or reactions, mimicking the way in which they interact on social platforms to make it feel more fun to take part in.
