## About incident.io
incident.io is the software reliability platform trusted by engineering teams at Netflix, Etsy, and over 2,000 companies that can't afford downtime. Software ships faster than ever, and keeping it reliable has become the real constraint on how fast a team can move. incident.io connects the full reliability lifecycle in one platform (On-Call, Investigations, Incident Response, and Status Pages) so context flows across every step instead of getting lost between disconnected tools. At the center is Nexus, a living AI model of your production environment built entirely from your own data: your runbooks, your services, and every incident you've ever run. Nexus gets smarter every time you use the platform, and it powers Investigations, our agentic root cause analysis. The moment an alert fires, Investigations reasons across your telemetry, deploys, and past incidents, then hands your team a root-cause hypothesis with the evidence, before anyone has opened a laptop. The incident.io agent works everywhere your team already does, from Slack and Teams to web, mobile, and MCP, both when you ask it and on its own in the background. It's a platform with an agent, not just an agent, so the essential work of running incidents, paging the right people, and keeping stakeholders updated keeps happening reliably. The result is a shift from simply managing incidents to continuously improving reliability. The best teams don't just respond to failure faster. They detect issues before customers do, resolve them with fewer people pulled in, and stop the same incidents from recurring. Every incident makes the system smarter, so reliability compounds. From the SRE to the support rep to the CTO, teams spend less time firefighting and more time building software their customers trust.

## incident.io Reviews
 ### 1. Awesome tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Of all the tools I have used to manage Incidents, Incident.io is by far the greatest. The Slack integration is brilliant. It makes it easier to manage and inform all company levels about any incident happening in the company.
Their support team is also a good part of what they do. They usually respond very quickly and are super attentive.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

There is nothing I dislike about the tool. I wish they keep growing and adding more features to it. There is only one feature that I can think of that would be good to have now; since Slack released the call feature would be good if we could take advantage of it on incident channels - adding this part here without checking if they already support something like it.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io is central to our incident management process. Before, we used another more complex tool that lacked the option of integrations we have now, making our incident management way faster and quicker.

 ### 2. Seamless Incident Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

incident.io as a fantastic solution for incident management! From my experience, it's by far the quickest and most efficient way to get started with incident management. The tool's Slack-based workspace is simply brilliant, ensuring that everyone, including business owners, sys admins, and engineers, stays informed and up-to-date on the incident at hand. What's more, it's incredibly easy to get started with since all ICM tasks can be performed directly through Slack, so there's no need for responders to spend time learning a new tool. All in all, I highly recommend incident.io to anyone looking for a seamless and effective way to manage incidents

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I wish I was able to create my own custom apps for incident.io so that others could use it. As a sort of incident app store, so that others can share their apps and integrations. I also wished you could make your own automations

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io is helping our growing team to get off the ground with ICM and setting up and streamlined process that aligns with our product and customer goals. The most important part, it scales as we need it to.

 ### 3. Love the app and customer support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizaveta S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

- I really like the app: easy to use, has a good range of features
- Our CSM Georgie is great: she is very helpul and proactive
- Inicdent.io team welcome any feedback and deliver features fast!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Nothig comes to mind.
It is a relatively a new app, but the new features are delivered regualry.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident manamgment organisation, keeping the right stakeholders in the loop.

 ### 4. Awesome product and superb support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinicius S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

What I like best about incident.io is its intuitive and user-friendly interface and slack commands. Incident.io makes it super easy to manage incidents and keep all team members informed in real-time. The ability to assign tasks, set priorities, and track progress helps our team stay organized and on top of any issues that arise. Overall, incident.io has been a valuable tool in improving our incident response process and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a streamlined solution.

I've been using incident.io since its early days, and I've been an early adopter. I've watched the solution evolve at an astonishing pace. I believe the tool has enormous potential, and the support team is incredible. What I like best about incident.io's support and team is that they often detect issues before we even open a ticket. :rocket:

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

What I dislike about incident.io is the limited customization options for notifications. While the notifications are helpful in keeping the team informed, I would like to have more control over the frequency and types of notifications I receive. Additionally, currently, they don't offer an internal status page. These limitations, however, are minor compared to the overall value that incident.io provides.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is solving the problem of effective and efficient incident management and communication. With its Slackbot integration, the tool allows teams to quickly respond to incidents and keep all team members informed in real-time. This eliminates the need for manual updates and reduces the risk of miscommunication.

 ### 5. Great way to understand what needs to be done

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eddie L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident IO has helped my team and me a ton in communication when it comes to several incidents. It has provided a structured framework of dealing with certain business impacting scenarios. If you are looking for a tool where technical and non-technical people alike can provide insights and raise incidents through mediums such as slack.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The only thing I wish incident would have is a more in-depth integration for task-management software such as linear. The integration only goes as far as linking a task to a specific incident, but it would be nice to receive progress updates of any given task.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us structure conversations and keep the team organized while handling incidents with ranging severities. Also helps us understand the scope and priority of the issues we face much quicker.

 ### 6. An excellent product & easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Impressive Incident Workflows - excellent guide from start to finish
Slack integration - ability to do everything from slack
Top-class customer support - quick and helpful responses!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Not a lot to dislike - especially given how quickly feedback is heard and incorporated.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raise & resolve incidents quickly to hugely minimise customer impact

 ### 7. Wonderful UX and Potential for the Future

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io has a seamless UX. The styles on the site all look polished. Their responsiveness to adding features and fixing bugs when onboarding was wonderful to have. The patterns they've laid out are heading in a great direction and will allow them for future successes.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Administration needs a bit of improvement. Terraform support is still new, but lacking in a few regards. The difference in data between what is exposed in the UI and what is available in the API makes customizing and measuring different aspects of the IM lifecycle quite tedious.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Incident Management UX was a large challenge for us. Incident.io has improved that by allowing the right amount of customizability and sane defaults that encourage users to use the product properly.

 ### 8. A must for incident management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron Q. | Senior Product Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

A seamless Slack integration, easy to set up and always adding great features regularly.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

That their pricing tiers are mostly get in touch with Sales, and not self-serve

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting incidents swiftly and automating the process of creating Slack channels, zoom calls and updating our status sites swiftly

 ### 9. Great product, great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kay C. | Senior Service Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

incident.io provides a one stop shop for all the orcestrations involved when managing an incident. Since implementing incident.io we have been able to manage all elements of an incident in a single place due to the integrations that the product offers, hugely improving our communication capabilities and response times. The product is intuitive and is low effort to configure and maintain. Alongside that, the team at incident.io are super helpful and passionate about the product so when feature requests are raised they are typically delivered very quickly.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

At times the rate of change can be disorientating as they are developing the product incredibly quickly. However, considering the value many of the changes bring, and the signposting that goes alongside new features (especially when made to the UI), this is a small price to pay and it does not take long to get used to the new functionality.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io has replaced an in-house developed incidentbot and has dramatically reduced the cost to develop and support a bot of this type while also providing significantly more functionality and capabilities. incident.io is absolutely key to our incident management process and as it is so user-friendly teams are actively using it for lower priority issues in which they run the incident rather than requesting an Incident Manager.

 ### 10. Incident.io is a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

There are so many things to rave about with this product. After a lengthy vetting process with multiple incident management tools, we decided to purchase incident.io for managing incidents. One key factor in this decision was the ease of use -- it was so extremely simple to set up, adjust on the fly, add or subtract features, it made a real difference compared to other software. The other major factor in choosing incident.io was the vested interest of the team in our success. The engineers and customer success folks listened to our requests, added features to their product roadmap based on our needs, and quickly turned around solutions when we ran into issues. The personal care taken to ensure the rollout of incident.io to the company was beyond anything I've experienced with other vendors (in any space). I can't say enough good things about this product, this team, or this company.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It's difficult for me to pinpoint any particular thing that I dislike about the product. Whenever I've run into major issues/concerns, my customer success partner and a product manager have always sat down, heard my concerns, and devised short- and long-term solutions.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io has allowed my company to make incidents more visible, more streamlined, and more automated. My company already had an incident management process in place, but incident.io allowed a very lengthy process to be automated down to a few key strokes. It removed a lot of the stress from the Incident Commander on tasks and management. The triage feature helped remove some of the fear for on-call engineers around starting incidents, which has lead to more visibility about recurring issues and areas for improvement.

 ### 11. Review of Incident.io

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Very helpful with tracking incidents and keeping incidents up to date, as well as good place to communicate with team members.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Very low integration limit when starting with smaller plan.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io helps solve communication problems, when there are incidents that come up, we can resolve them together as a team and assist others when brought into the incidents.

 ### 12. Feedback has been consistently positive with incident.io. It’s quickly making a difference.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Braedon G. | Site Reliability Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

incident.io brings calm to chaos. We've been running incidents in slack for a few years, however, our process and tooling were limiting and made incident response a challenge. Incident.io is now the backbone of our response, making communication easier, the delegation of roles and responsibilities extremely clear, and follow-ups accounted for. It's the source of truth for incidents we've always needed.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Although incident.io integrates with all of the toolings in our incident management stack, some of these integrations aren't as mature as we'd like. For us, this means there are still some manual steps, such as manually exporting follow-ups to linear. This hasn't been a big challenge for us and I've been extremely impressed by the tight feedback loop. When we do have a request or notice a small bug, it's addressed or fixed immediately.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Everyone in our company is empowered to run and own incidents from start to finish and has access to the necessary tooling, i.e. PagerDuty, Statuspage, Linear, Zoom
- Improved visibility and communication during incidents. If multiple incidents are happening at once, there is a clear separation
- We can define different response procedures for different types of incidents.
- We have easy access to data for calculating key incident metrics, e.g. Mean Time to Recovery

 ### 13. Using incident.io has greatly improved our incident management processes and team collaboration.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md Ahmed R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

What i like most about incident.io is how well it can talk with all my stack, such as slack and linear. With incident.io it's super easy to create a ticket on linear based on that incident. Makes my work a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It's a bit expansive although i do understand that a service this good will need this kind of pricing but discounts and coupons code from time to time would be appreciated.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most significant benefits of using incident.io is that it provides a centralized location for teams to manage and track incidents, communicate effectively in real-time, and coordinate their response efforts. This can help reduce response times, minimize downtime, and improve customer satisfaction. Incident.io also enables businesses to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up valuable time for teams to focus on more complex tasks and higher-value activities. Additionally, the platform's detailed reporting and analytics capabilities provide businesses with insights into their incident management processes, allowing them to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. Overall, incident.io's comprehensive incident management solution provides businesses with the tools they need to effectively manage and respond to incidents, ultimately benefiting them by improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

 ### 14. Respond quickly, learn loads and stress less!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Principal Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Without incident.io our incident response culture would be caustic, and our process would be chaos.

It empowers anybody to raise an incident - and helps us quickly coordinate any response across technical, operational and support teams.
Its post-mortem and follow-up tooling is simple, yet detailed, and gives us the structure to quickly share learnings from our incidents - cementing a healthy incident culture.

Unlike other similar incident management tools it's super easy to use. This means we spend less time figuring out how to use incident.io, and more time focused on responding to the incident.
It also seems to native integrations with all the other tools we're familiar with, like Jira, PagerDuty, GSuite and Sentry.

Outside of incident response our feature and support requests are acknowledged in record time by a team that obviously cares about the product they're building and the problems they're solving.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Hmmm - not a lot.
In the cases where I've thought they could be better (like timezone support for post-mortem events), I've raised a feature request, and it's been acknowledged and resolved super fast.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A health incident management culture and process is a critical part of any modern tech company - and incident.io makes building this culture and running the process easy.

 ### 15. Structured our incident process & greatly reduced the pain of handling incidents.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathaël A. | Staff Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The customization of incident.io is fantastic. It allows us to refine our process as we learn by adding custom fields, severity types or workflows to tailor the tool to our exact needs.
It was also a step up in our maturity regarding incident communication, with their guide helping us define the standards in our internal communication.

As a side note, I'm a big fan of their blog and read most of their engineering articles with great interest.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Actions & follow-ups are two features taking quite some room in incident.io (dedicated tabs in the incident reviews and navbar, nudge to create some after incidents...), but we barely used them. They just don't fit into our current process. During an incident, the response team is on a call, and with the presence of the Incident Lead, we found it unhelpful to add actions describing what was tried. After the incident, the main issues are usually fixed shortly, and other non-urgent tasks are done in our usual process without the help of incident.io.

With some tweaking and custom workflows around them, follow-ups could become relevant for us, but that's not the case by default.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is mainly solving our internal communication during incidents. With some automation, workflows and good insights from the tool, it helps us bring information to every department of the company without impacting our ability to resolve the issue.

 ### 16. Central to our incident response processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew J. | Principal Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

incident.io allows us to focus on resolving the incident, not the admin around it. Being integrated with Slack makes it really easy, quick and comfortable to use for anyone in the company, with no prior training required.

It's very customisable, with the powerful workflows features and the flexibility to create as many custom fields as we need to help us with our reporting.

The growing list of integrations with tools such as Jira, Pagerduty, our status page provider, etc, really helps keep everything together.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

There's nothing in particular I dislike, really. There's obviously so much more a tool like this could do, but the team are great and have to seem to have a clear vision, with new features being delivered quickly and at a consistently high quality.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io is central to our incident management process. Before we tried to manage incidents in a similar way, but it was ad-hoc and took time away from resolving the incident. Having this managed consistently, plus all the extra features incident.io has to help manage and report on incidents takes a lot of load off those participating in incidents, allowing them to focus on what really matters.

 ### 17. They absolutely nailed the UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Infra Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

My favourite thing about the product is how it lets you start somewhere simple, with a focus on helping you run incident response through Slack.

Once you're ready for more, it's got great features you can dive into (post-mortem templates, action item tracking) and integrations with all the major tools (Statuspage, GitHub, etc) you'd expect.

I'm excited about all the new insights features they're building, and I think they'll help us better understand our operational work.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It's hard for me to find fault with it. The only thing I can think of is that their third-party integrations don't cover some of the more niche tools yet, but with the pace that the incident.io team have been adding them, I don't think that'll be true for long.

They've already implemented most of what we use.

**Recommendations to others considering incident.io:**

N/A

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io automates away the tedious parts of incident response, and lets you focus on what matters.

That means getting to the bottom of what's wrong faster, and reducing negative impact on customers.

 ### 18. I really like Incident.io

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cássio F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I didn't know about incident.io until I've had the opportunity to learn from him at the current company I'm working for. I really like its integration with Slack, quickly and visually alerting us to an issue. The possibility of customization and the alerts about actions to be completed and executed is very guiding. It helps a lot on focusing the understanding and emergency solution of the problem, giving us the condition to do a post-mortem associated with the incident later. If I had used this tool in other places I worked, it could have helped me in several situations.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I don't have a complaint about incident.io

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly alerting me to incidents and allowing us to organize ourselves as an organization to deal with issues properly.

 ### 19. Incident.io frees you from the stress and panic of an incident to concentrate on what truly matters.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob L. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Clearly built by a team of people who have been through the panic and despair of a poorly run incident. They have taken all those learnings to heart and made something that automates, clarifies and enables your teams to concentrate on fixing, communicating and, most importantly, learning from the incidents that happen.

Rather than trying to prevent incidents, the tool helps you almost embrace them as a means to improve your own product and teams.

Everything integrates seamlessly around Slack; new incidents are quickly declared via the commands or automatically created via your own alerting and integrations. You can easily automate further steps with the workflows allowing you to take even the most arbitrary company processes and fit them into the tool.

They also provide great insights into the data behind your incidents, allowing you to watch out for burnout in on-call teams and potential improvements to be made end to end.

They also work incredibly fast! Often times fixing bugs you've reported in minutes. They also listen closely to their customers and actively work to take on board all suggestions for improvement.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

My only dislike is that we still have to use other tools! Although they have a great number of integrations already, and I know they are actively working on more, I cannot wait to see what else they can add to Incident.io to enable teams to handle almost anything from within one place.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incidents WILL happen. It is important to recognise this and have the right processes and tools in place to handle things when they do.

Incident.io helps to solve a number of issues around incidents:

- visibility across the organisation
- communication internally and externally
- coordination across teams
- standardisation of tooling
- automation
- quality and speed of response
- ownership
- reporting and post-incident learning

All of this enables our teams to be more confident, happier, eager, and efficient when dealing with incidents - resulting in a better product and experience ultimately for our customers.

 ### 20. It's tempting to build a Slack-based incident system yourself, don't

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bertrand J. | Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident has a very responsive and competent team. They have built a system with sane defaults and building blocks to customize everything. Their product is responsive and reliable, and the new features are all well thought out.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

We cannot export data automatically to our data warehouse through something like Fivetran; you must download CSVs by hand. They offer an insights feature, but we love to tie everything to our data. We've also felt that their pricing model was overly greedy in counting seats/responders.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide a streamlined incident workflow that is consistent across the organization. All incidents are tracked in a single system, with subtle tweaks on a team-by-team basis. We felt like we could have built much of it ourselves, but Incident was better than what we would have built.

 ### 21. What's not to love!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Principal Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incidents are stressful, so simplicity was key for us at Skyscanner, where anybody can be an incident manager. Having looked at the competition, it was the simplicity of use and the team at incident.io that persuaded us to join the family.
Having ran our incident bot we knew it was hard to keep up with the long list of feature requests. It was essential to know that we could influence the roadmap and work with incident.io as a partner, not just a take-it-or-leave-it supplier.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I've still got to get to that point, but I know that I'll be listened to when I do.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Historically our incident management solution was focused on the external customer experience, although this is important, it's not the whole story. Most of our incidents are internal, requiring different communication paths. Announcement rules help solve that problem for us.
Next is infrastructure. Running your incident bot on your own Kubernetes platform doesn't help when you're fighting an infrastructure fire with hands tied behind your back.
Finally, it's features. We can't develop the features we want or don't even know about while running a travel business supporting 95m users a month. Let the experts do that while we serve our customers.

 ### 22. Incidents in Slack with great integrations to other tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The Slack integration makes reporting and following incidents easy, which was the original reason for signing up. The status page is a lovely addition; we added PagerDuty, Sentry and Vanta integrations quickly, and it's working as expected.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

We want to see on-call functionality as an integral part of incident.io so that we won't have to use a separate tool for that (PagerDuty in our case).

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io solves the problem of tracking incidents as they evolve by creating a Slack channel per incident and following all messages in that channel.

For us, incident.io made it easy to provide everyone in the company access to reporting incidents, reporting to Vanta later on for compliance reasons.

 ### 23. A joy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I'm constantly presently surprised by its behaviors, its integrations just work, and the process makes a lot of sense. On top of that, it's fast and makes the administrative side of incidents a breeze.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I'd love to see them get into alerting and escalations. I'm not sure they need to be the complete solution to everything, but their finesse to integrations could only improve the market.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Incident.io to drive our incident response process, handle follow up items and communicate with other teams and the company.

 ### 24. Incident.io helps build a positive incident culture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saurav C. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io helps promore a positive incident management culture! As an organisation, now that we have become more accustomed to using it for incident management, its hard to think about how we used to manage without it!
It helps promote a blameless incident culture by promoting clearly defined roles and helping show that dealing with an incident is a collective responsibility. We have also started using it to conduct game days, so that we can better prepare for a catastrophic scenario.
The incident dashboard is probably my favourite feature of the tool. It helps provide a good overview and a sense of direction to an otherwise chaotic process.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I would say some improvements around managing follow up actions to incidents would be quite useful. In my experience, developers don't tend to pay much attention to the action items from post mortems once things tend to calm down following an incident. So a feature which schedules regular follow ups will be super useful :)

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is helping us streamline the disaster management process and ensuring that everyone in the company has a good visibility on ongoing incidents and can learn from it

 ### 25. Game changer for incident management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Easy of use and fast feature releases with excellent support that helps us almost immediately when we have a problem. I always thought that Incident Management is a hard thing to do. Incident.io change my opinion 🚀

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Steep learning curve. As a relatively new user of Incident.io, I find the platform a little bit challenging, are a lot of things to learn but not just with the tool about concepts too.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident creation, automation, management and communication, with Incident.io, I can deal with all parts of Incident Management more humanly and not have the pain to management things from scratch.

 ### 26. Great tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiago C. | Principal Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io helps my teams focus on the problem itself instead of the tools. It is a really game-changing product during and after the incidents. Before incident.io we were always struggling to collect important information about the incidents.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

As I said the tool is great, but it could have some improvements on reports and post-mortems documents generator.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io help us follow a lean process during an incident by automatizing many tasks and collecting information at the right time. I can say we now spend less time managing the boring details and focus more on the problem we have to solve.

 ### 27. Structured incident response do make a diference

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregório B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The slack integration makes it so easy to manage the incident, it’s a breeze to have it and not having to worry about forgetting some step, there are tons of ways to customize the decisions and automate communication. It’s a should have for companies worried about sustaining a good response time when it’s needed, managing incidents should be about the issue in hand and not about remembering the steps in between.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

On "Insights," it would be great to have more information for correlated issues.
A better timeline, especially when the problem is only noticed later on. The ability to add correlations like the epic where the problem was introduced and moments where we could have caught it before it escalated into an incident.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Atumates the process so I do not have to worry about forgetting something

 ### 28. Using incident.io has made our org and myself much better at responding to and leading incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Senior Software Engineer, Cloud IDE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Everything is slack-centric, which is where live collab happens for us. Easy for everyone to have clarity on who is doing what to drive incident forward. The gentle reminders help guide an incident lead to moving the incident forward.
Adopting incident.io has made it very easy for us to embrace and implement incident response best practices - like having clear roles assigned, and ownership of specific action items.
The historical record we get from the slack channel for each incident is super valuable. I find myself going back to previous incident pages in incident.io (or finding old threads in the slack channel) to improve our playbooks.

The team is also super responsive. We have a shared channel with them in our company slack. They release features and improvements at an impressive clip, and we have had great interactions with them whenever we share feedback.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Hm. Hard to find anything to dislike. We used to struggle with how noisy some of the automated messages were but we shared this feedback and it turns out they were already improving that. Now we don't have that issue at all :)

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is critical to have a plan and procedure for incident response, it is even better when you have tools that automate and guide you through that procedure. incident.io let's us bake-in excellence via tooling. It gives us clarity and guidance during incident response.

 ### 29. Awesome product, amazing tool! An incident process with productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Almir M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I like the way we can integrate Incident.io with Slack. We can create actions and follow-ups and generate Github issues or Jira cards linking everything.

As we use Incident.io we can take insights into what part we can focus on improving the incident process.

I really recommend it.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I don´t have anything now to "dislike", it's a really awesome tool.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can take insights and how to improve our incident process and how to prevent future ones.

It helps us by giving visibility about all the things that happened in the incidents.

 ### 30. A great tool that makes incident management easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimia P. | Software Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I enjoy that everything (or most things) is on Slack. I'm on slack all day at work, so not having to flick through other apps to get all my information is vital. Also, bringing in more people is as easy as calling their slack handle. Whether I'm involved in reporting or following an incident, I find it helpful just to use slack.

Incident.io also has a feature for game days, which my team have used in the past. This feature helped me build my confidence in dealing with incidents, as it is similar to how you would report and deal with an actual incident.

Also, I appreciate the web UI that incident.io has. They have some beneficial integrations that I use, and I'm sure they are working on adding more which should help more people.

I like the zoom call added to every incident. I think it's a great touch!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I've not worked with this tool that much, so I can't think of anything I dislike. There is one thing I would like to see improved:

- I would like the "Incident Timeline" part to have more details as it's added to the post-mortem. Or, if possible, change the way it's visualised so it's more UX-friendly.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incindent.io makes incident management easier. Every company, including ours, will have incidents at some point. So being able to have a tool that brings every step of incident management together and also to Slack which everyone uses at all times, is very beneficial.

 ### 31. Great user experience and flow control throughout an incident

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident provides a great user experience when it comes to incident management. The app helps the incident lead when it comes to assigning tasks and following them up. Users of updates and prompting the team when needed is also something it does excellent. In a moment when efforts need to be fully focused on actually handling whatever is happening, Incident releases quite a lot of burden off the team's shoulders.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It would be great if Incident could find a way to keep discussions less isolated. Because it all ends up happening within Slack, threads all over the place make it difficult to follow all conversations. I can see Incident helping out teams better handle this.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Several painful processes upon any given incident, regardless of its size, for example, lead assignment, tasks management, end users comms, team organisation, handy reminders, etc.

 ### 32. Great tooling for tracking incidents!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

It quickly logs everything you do, in chronilogical order and makes the post-incident activies clear and easy to go about!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

it can alert you quite often! but its a good thing, make sure you give updates regularly

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting the right people into the call, and adverttising to the rest of the company what is happening

 ### 33. Master your Communication and Collaboration during Incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Redouane B. | Director of Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

At Future PLC, we are a publishing company; as much as we would like our platform to be state of the art, incidents happen. The most critical thing during an incident is obviously the investigation and resolution, but there is also managing the expectations of your editorial teams and your direct consumers.
Incident.io help us do that in a collaborative tool and decrease the overhead of communication by allowing a space where people can follow the status of your current incident and automatically generate reports and post mortems documents with the findings, follow ups and action items to do around the issues spotted.
It's really a good tool and we used it intensively at Future PLC.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The incident.io team is really reactive to all our feature requests. May be perhaps the possibility to connect incident.io and GA so we can relate Incidents to traffic loss (or no traffic loss) and help assessing more quickly the business impacts of an incident.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication and Collaboration during Incidents, allowing people that are on call to focus on the investigations rather than already managing the communication of what is going on.

 ### 34. Incident collaboration across business functions now easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The slackbot gives you all of the incident management functions you need at your finger tips: pinning to track important discoveries, actions taken/completed, and prompts to broadcast updates.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The ability to soft-escalate in incident.io is great, but leads to a jarring experience needing to flip back to our antiquated paging system. I'd prefer if individual/rota escalation could be handled through incident.io too.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The adoption of incident.io has helped us organise and coordinate incident response from client-facing, engineering, and infrastructure teams. When anyone sees a post in the #incidents channel, they now know how and when to help.

 ### 35. Excellent Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The product is easy to use, provides good communication and keeps the entire trajectory organized with the integrations that the product offers. So, incident.io is a great tool to improve the incident identification process. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to keep incidents well communicated.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I have practically nothing to complain about the product, but what I don't like about incident.io is that the notification options are limited. But even so, the existing notifications are very useful to keep the whole team informed about the incident and the progress of its resolution.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is mainly solving the issue of incident reporting and incident resolution reporting. And it even allows integration with our slack, further improving our real-time communication.

 ### 36. Easy to use on slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caique C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

It's really easy to integrate with slack, and its use is also very intuitive there. I like how it allows you to keep track of an incident using a tool you already use for most of your time.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Some integrations aren't as mature as they could, so there are still some manual steps. I.e., when you have to export follow-ups to linear. It's not such a significant issue; it would be nice if it improved.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting and mostly follow-up of incidents in my company.

 ### 37. Easy centralized incident management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io lives where we live -- in Slack, and makes it easy to bring in people cross-functionally and solve incidents faster.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I've not found many downsides to incident.io at all, and they are constantly improving and responsive to all issues brought up to them.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack-based incident management and triage in a cross-functional manner. It's reminders also allow us to live our process with regard to post-mortems.

 ### 38. Clean and intuitive UX, great integrations, outstanding customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Clean user experience. Focus on integrations (slack, notion, pagerduty, datadog is coming soon). A great product team that listens to customers and adjusts their roadmap to meet customers where they're at. Finally, the customer success team has been very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

More customizable insights around incident management and an ability to drill down for incidents would be helpful.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Incident Management workflow automation
- Incident insights & trends

 ### 39. Great Incident Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateus B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I really like that incident.io is slack-centric, everyone can collaborate. The slackbot helps us with all of the incident management functions we need. Its functions help us to have clarity on who is doing what to drive incidents forward. Also, the reminders help us guide incidents forward.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I'd like to integrate incident.io with tools like Jira to publish the progress of an incident connecting the follow-up actions to our ticket boards. It would be great!

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io solves problems such as automatically opening incidents through alerts, managing information, postmortem issues, metrics, and all other necessary information about incidents, centralized in a single place, no matter how much you use different tools.

 ### 40. Elegance under fire

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toby J. | Global SRE Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Managing incidents in the same space our team collaborates provides an elegant mechanism to support comms and alignment. We're reducing recovery times by sharing context in an incident channel, while providing clear and controlled comms to our organisation through the incident.io status pages and integrations. We've worked with incident.io to bring new features and support some of our integrations into our own backend systems to improve our service even further.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Incident.io is intrinsically tied into Slack, while this works well for our use case, may be challenging for some organsisations.
The incident.io status pages are only visible to slack account holders (again; good for us to control access), but they've solved this with direct integration to StatusPage and providing API access we've integrated into our other tooling.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.IO has solved our incident comms and alignment processes by providing unique, easily recognisable places for that conversation to happen and providing just the right level of support to collate the chatter into actionable reporting and feedback. This allows incidents to be recognised, supported, resolved and prevented through the same interfaces we're using for our routine works and empowering our wider team to engage with incident procedures.

 ### 41. Best Incident Management System.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiago T. | Engineering Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io tech support is fantastic. When you have a problem, someone from incident.io immediately opens a chat with you in the slack channel, email, or anywhere else to solve the problem immediately. In addition, the evolution of functionalities happens very quickly, with a shallow feedback cycle, which helps us evolve daily.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

There is nothing that I dislike. Everything is amazing.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io solves problems such as automatically opening incidents through alerts, managing information, postmortem issues, metrics, and all other necessary information about incidents, centralized in a single place, no matter how much you use different tools.

 ### 42. Standardised our incident response and generally a lovely company to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt G. | Tech lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

We started using incident.io after deciding we wanted to improve the way we handle incidents and on-call. Up until then, we'd been using flow charts and manual processes for handling that. Turns out there's a better way: incident.io.

Incident has helped us standardise our response for incidents, hooks into all of our important tools such as slack and pagerduty and we know there are more integrations which we've yet to use.

By offloading all the logistics of running an incident.io, our incident managers and the people responding to incidents can do so more effectively and can focus on what they're doing instead of how they need to do it (because incident.io takes care of it).

Lastly, interacting with the team at incident.io is a joy - they're quick to reply to feature requests, how-to requests or general chat. Quite often we've suggested features, for them to be implemented by the end of the day!

Keep up the good work!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Honestly can't think of anything. When we started using incident.io the first few messages in the slack channel were quite noisy, but this has been refined a lot.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Standardising the response to incidents
- Keeping track of things which need to be done before/during/after incidents
- Simplifying the calculation of on-call pay
- Providing tips and guidance for how to run incidents

 ### 43. Best App for incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rogerio A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The experience is very smooth for such a chaotic moment. The app helps us to follow the process and give tips and reminders in crucial moments.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The api is evolving, we have some tasks to extract data and to more complex reports, but it is a working in progress

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The whole incident process is complex and having this app to guide our time is essential

 ### 44. Helps me to do my job quickly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jade L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

incident.io allows us to focus on resolving the incident and helps everyone to be on the same page. Being integrated with Slack makes it easy, quick and comfortable for everyone to use!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The status page should allow us to share the URL in different languages.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to keep everyone on the same page and to update incident status a lot faster!

 ### 45. Streamlined Incident Response

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Incident Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

We've been working with the Incident.io tooling for several months now and it has allowed us to steamline our incident response, freeing up time to dedicate to incident resolution. We've also been able to automate a lot of the manual work we used to have to undertake. The tool is simple to setup, use and has been an easy sell with our business.

The team at Incident.io have been brilliant throughout our onboarding, helping us with all manner of questions around the tooling and best practices.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

There were a few required features missing when we implemented the incident.io tooling (incident types for example), but these have all now been rectified by the team, who were quick to act on requests.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sped up and simplified incident response, allowing us to effectively communicate incidents to respective stakeholders.

 ### 46. Excellent way of organising incidents for a growing team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I've really enjoyed getting incident set up for our team. The onboarding is really simple, and the service prompts you to help you follow a great incident process.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It's quite expensive to get more than two integrations for a small team, but we decided it was worth it.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organise our incident management process to make sure that everything is in one place, and we can manage our debriefs seamlessly with Notion.

 ### 47. Great Incident Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott A. | Senior Manager of Tech Specialist Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I love all of the automated processes that get kicked off once an incident is raised. Currently, we're spinning up a dedicated Slack channel, notifying the company in a Slack post, creating a dedicated Zoom room, creating a Jira task, notifying the engineer on call through OpsGenie, and creating a retro document through Notion. I don't want to think about doing all those pieces separately, and I don't have to!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

incident.io is still fairly new to us and we haven't gotten past the honeymoon stage. Nothing has stood out as an improvement yet.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It manages all the logistics of escalated events. There are a lot of moving pieces and incident.io takes care of that.

 ### 48. The best companion for your incident process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniele E. | Principal Backend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io is your best friend during an incident!

It allows you to start the incident process, gather all the people into the same channel and video call, reminds you when it's time to share updates and helps you to aggregate and present the post-mortem and follow-up actions in a very structured way.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

To be honest I don't see any big downside other than having some integrations with tools like Notion or Jira to publish the post-mortem and connecting the follow-up actions to our ticket boards.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is helping us on focusing on the incident itself and removes all the low level, boring and distracting chores of creating a room for handling the incident, gathering people and drafting the initial post-mortem.

 ### 49. Excellent solution for incident management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thalles C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

With this tool we raise we the level of incident management, improve resolutions and maturation. Collective work makes it more transparent and agile

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

So for we have nothing to complain about the tool.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Today our SRE team servers a lot in out cloud infrastructure

 ### 50. Good relationship w/ customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro S. | Incident Response Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I've been working w/ Incident.io in the past 6 months and it could'nt been more grateful w/ their help.

There's no question that they don't take it seriously enough.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

We have past a dificult to renew our plan. It might be the way that incident.io have been seen their international expansion, but the possibilities offered in the medium/long term, seemed to indicate that the type of expansion they are aiming at may not suit the needs that our company will have in the same period.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any possibility of customization and automation allows our team to focus on problem-solving and less on the operational activities of the incident process. There is not a month that the product does not offer at least one new solution. It's amazing!
