## About incident.io
incident.io is the software reliability platform trusted by engineering teams at Netflix, Etsy, and over 2,000 companies that can't afford downtime. Software ships faster than ever, and keeping it reliable has become the real constraint on how fast a team can move. incident.io connects the full reliability lifecycle in one platform (On-Call, Investigations, Incident Response, and Status Pages) so context flows across every step instead of getting lost between disconnected tools. At the center is Nexus, a living AI model of your production environment built entirely from your own data: your runbooks, your services, and every incident you've ever run. Nexus gets smarter every time you use the platform, and it powers Investigations, our agentic root cause analysis. The moment an alert fires, Investigations reasons across your telemetry, deploys, and past incidents, then hands your team a root-cause hypothesis with the evidence, before anyone has opened a laptop. The incident.io agent works everywhere your team already does, from Slack and Teams to web, mobile, and MCP, both when you ask it and on its own in the background. It's a platform with an agent, not just an agent, so the essential work of running incidents, paging the right people, and keeping stakeholders updated keeps happening reliably. The result is a shift from simply managing incidents to continuously improving reliability. The best teams don't just respond to failure faster. They detect issues before customers do, resolve them with fewer people pulled in, and stop the same incidents from recurring. Every incident makes the system smarter, so reliability compounds. From the SRE to the support rep to the CTO, teams spend less time firefighting and more time building software their customers trust.

## incident.io Reviews
 ### 1. Boosted Incident Response with Better Slack Swarming and Clearer Bridge Comms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason F. | Telemarketing Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Obviously using Slack and it's integrations with that has meant we are able to swarm incidents much more effectively. We have made a conscious choice to not use the responder element of INC IO, but I do think in the sales process if that functionality was expanded on then the ROI on INC IO would have not just been focused on effectiveness of INC MGMT (MTTR) but also on tool consolidation.

The use of scribe in our bridges has materially increased stakeholders understanding of how incs are progressing, and has also allowed the INC commander to be able to generate comms from the bridge, with only needing to skim read before publication. I like using the browser version and ask the AI tool for a summarization/questions that I used to direct to the INC commandaer role, freeing them up to be more effective.

I am excited for the SRE function to be launched.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It feels like you started with INC and then bolted on other elements afterward (retro, status page, responder, SRE). A clearer articulation of your roadmap would give customers a better lens into where you’re headed, and how that direction could align with simplifying things internally.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The INC process was poor and ineffective. Even though the tool is only one part of our overall maturity, it has still enabled us to drive meaningful, material improvements.

 ### 2. Highly Configurable Platform with Strong Slack/Teams Integration and AI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The services that form the core of the platform are highly configurable, which lets you set things up in a very specific way. It performs well with Teams integration, and especially with Slack. That said, the menu navigation can be a bit tricky at times, with certain settings tucked away in places you wouldn’t expect.

The site itself performs quickly, occasionally you are waiting for a few seconds if there's a lot to load - but this isn't often.

In contrast, the incident and alert pages themselves are laid out very sensibly, so everything is easy to find and feels intuitive. The support we received during onboarding was excellent as well; whenever issues came up, they were identified quickly and resolved ASAP, usually within 24 hours.

The AI features are also very useful. The scribe provides notes from calls, and the AI then pulls from those notes, along with Teams/Slack chats, to put together post-mortems for you. Like the rest of the platform, it’s extremely configurable—right down to the prompts the AI uses for specific tasks, and even the individual sections of the report.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

While the services are highly configurable, that flexibility also makes initial setup more complicated. It isn’t always clear how services should be configured to work effectively across the system—for example, how they should appear and behave on status pages. A tutorial, or clearer in-platform guidance on what’s required, would be very helpful.

The status pages themselves also feel a bit too rigid. The layout isn’t really changeable beyond switching between dark and light mode. Even then, it’s just a manual toggle: there’s no option to respect the user’s OS setting, or to let each user choose their own preference. That leaves you having to pick between forcing people who struggle with light pages to use them, or doing the opposite.

Finally, status pages only support automation for the single-page variant. There’s currently no automation available for the sub-page variant (for example, for regions), although this is under review and may change in the future.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They’ve streamlined what used to be a very manual workflow for us. We previously had to raise incidents by hand and keep track of everything ourselves, logging the investigation as we went. Now we can rely on incident.io’s scribe and integrations to capture those notes for us, which lets us pre-generate incident reports and status updates. As a result, we can focus much more on actually resolving the issue and spend far less time on the related admin work.

 ### 3. Seamless Incident Management with Robust Slack Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wael N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I really like incident.io for oncall and incident management. The catalog allows very rich connections between resources and helps us decide what's important. Our oncall teams can manage their own escalation policies and schedules. Incident.io's incident management is flexible, allowing us to add custom fields to better track and handle incidents. The Slack integration is excellent because it allows teams to stay on Slack during an incident without having to jump between tools. Additionally, it was easier to set up than equivalent products, and the support team, especially Sunita, made our migration smoother by driving the process.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

The escalation path could use some improvements, such as being able to link one node to another for custom tree shapes and performing if/else over any field, not just the priority. Additionally, the UX around custom fields in incidents could be better thought through; they are both underwhelming and hidden enough to confuse people.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use incident.io for oncall and incident management. It lets us manage escalation policies, track incidents flexibly, and seamlessly integrate with Slack, so we don’t jump between tools. It replaced our custom OpsGenie tools with a tailored solution.

**Official Response from Cristina Carnazzo:**

> Hi Wael, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and also for your thoughtful feedback on the escalation path and custom fields. I've passed it along to the team! Cheers, Cristina

 ### 4. Deep Customization Made Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I really appreciate the depth of customization available, and the fact that most of it can be managed through Infrastructure as Code.

The incident experience on Slack is also top-tier.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Setup can feel overwhelming at first, mainly because there are so many settings and customization options available.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

incident.io automates a fair chunk of our incident response workflow. It takes care of some of the usually tedious parts, like managing rotas, merging multiple alerts into a single incident, and generating reports so we can track our incident rate and how effective our responses are.

**Official Response from Cristina Carnazzo:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to review us! Great to hear the customization and Infrastructure-as-Code approach are working well, and that the Slack experience is top-tier. I hear you on setup feeling overwhelming with so many options, I'll share that with the team, and let me know if we can help you fine-tune anything. Thanks again for being a customer!

 ### 5. Modern, configurable, Ai-Native Incident Management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mihai R. | Engineering Area Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Modern tool that’s highly automated and AI-enabled. It handles incident work well, and there are plenty of configuration options to tailor it to what you need.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

It can become too noisy, and it can also end up being misconfigured.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company level incidents, and remediation of problems via post mortems

 ### 6. Modern Incident Management with Strong Integration, Needs Faster Updates

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I appreciate incident.io because it modernizes our incident management tooling and integrates well with third-party tools. I particularly like its customizability with integration on the catalog, which makes it possible to do lookups using the catalog. The initial setup was also pretty easy, which was a plus.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Prioritization of new features and bugfixes is a problem. Depending on your size, customers don't get their feature requests prioritized and bugfixes are slow.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io modernizes incident management, integrates with third-party tools, and offers a customizable catalog integration.

 ### 7. So much time saved on incident timelines and write ups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

- Less time spent putting together an accurate timeline of an incident. It's so easy to pin important messages and updates and automatically it creates the timeline for you
- Actions and follow up assignments are easy to use and it's easy to tag and escalate to people.
- Spend more time in post mortems looking at problem solving and long term improvements instead of worrying about paperwork
- Insights over time provide useful info on trends.
- Works well with PagerDuty integration and our escalation paths

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

- Follow ups can't easily be linked to shortcut with custom tags after post mortems but I know they are listening to our feature requests
- Post mortems need to get updated after the meetings manuall once they are exported to a wiki. It would be great to be able to edit them
- Need to be able to have more customisable graphs and views created for reporting on insights and specific fields that are not currently available in the insights view.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing time taken spent on process and written documentation from incident management, making it easy for any individuals involved with an incident to follow our processes and send reminders for things like setting communicators and regular updates.

 ### 8. Crucial piece of your incident management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roro O. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io is extremely easy to use. The platform is easy to set up and integrates well with several tools. Making it a critical part of our incident handling and communication process. It helps both during an incident and the post-incident/post-mortem process by allowing users with little training to manage incidents like pros.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Some of the best features are in the pro plan, and the price discrepancy between the basic and the pro can be daunting. Especially since incident.io doesn't handle alerting, you need to rely on a separate platform to manage alerts.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies the collaboration and communication process during an incident. Ensuring all needed parties are well informed about an incident and the necessary follow-up work is handled appropriately.

 ### 9. Solid experience, easy to set up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoff H. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io was easy to install and configure. It's already helped us do a better job of responding to minor incidents that previously were handled informally and not as well documented.

We've already had some nice interactions with their customer success team and engineers with some minor feature requests that got added quickly.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

We're not using Incident.io's status pages yet for external reporting because they don't have status page integration with outside services in the same way that statuspage.io does.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io helps us ticket incidents, pull discussion into one place, coordinate outside response, and collect evidence for later post-mortems. It does everything we need an incident management tool to do.

 ### 10. Wonderful UX and Potential for the Future

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Incident.io has a seamless UX. The styles on the site all look polished. Their responsiveness to adding features and fixing bugs when onboarding was wonderful to have. The patterns they've laid out are heading in a great direction and will allow them for future successes.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Administration needs a bit of improvement. Terraform support is still new, but lacking in a few regards. The difference in data between what is exposed in the UI and what is available in the API makes customizing and measuring different aspects of the IM lifecycle quite tedious.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Incident Management UX was a large challenge for us. Incident.io has improved that by allowing the right amount of customizability and sane defaults that encourage users to use the product properly.

 ### 11. Review of Incident.io

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Very helpful with tracking incidents and keeping incidents up to date, as well as good place to communicate with team members.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Very low integration limit when starting with smaller plan.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io helps solve communication problems, when there are incidents that come up, we can resolve them together as a team and assist others when brought into the incidents.

 ### 12. A great tool that makes incident management easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimia P. | Software Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I enjoy that everything (or most things) is on Slack. I'm on slack all day at work, so not having to flick through other apps to get all my information is vital. Also, bringing in more people is as easy as calling their slack handle. Whether I'm involved in reporting or following an incident, I find it helpful just to use slack.

Incident.io also has a feature for game days, which my team have used in the past. This feature helped me build my confidence in dealing with incidents, as it is similar to how you would report and deal with an actual incident.

Also, I appreciate the web UI that incident.io has. They have some beneficial integrations that I use, and I'm sure they are working on adding more which should help more people.

I like the zoom call added to every incident. I think it's a great touch!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I've not worked with this tool that much, so I can't think of anything I dislike. There is one thing I would like to see improved:

- I would like the "Incident Timeline" part to have more details as it's added to the post-mortem. Or, if possible, change the way it's visualised so it's more UX-friendly.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incindent.io makes incident management easier. Every company, including ours, will have incidents at some point. So being able to have a tool that brings every step of incident management together and also to Slack which everyone uses at all times, is very beneficial.

 ### 13. Excellent Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

The product is easy to use, provides good communication and keeps the entire trajectory organized with the integrations that the product offers. So, incident.io is a great tool to improve the incident identification process. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to keep incidents well communicated.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

I have practically nothing to complain about the product, but what I don't like about incident.io is that the notification options are limited. But even so, the existing notifications are very useful to keep the whole team informed about the incident and the progress of its resolution.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident.io is mainly solving the issue of incident reporting and incident resolution reporting. And it even allows integration with our slack, further improving our real-time communication.

 ### 14. Clean and intuitive UX, great integrations, outstanding customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Clean user experience. Focus on integrations (slack, notion, pagerduty, datadog is coming soon). A great product team that listens to customers and adjusts their roadmap to meet customers where they're at. Finally, the customer success team has been very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

More customizable insights around incident management and an ability to drill down for incidents would be helpful.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Incident Management workflow automation
- Incident insights & trends

 ### 15. Good relationship w/ customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro S. | Incident Response Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

I've been working w/ Incident.io in the past 6 months and it could'nt been more grateful w/ their help.

There's no question that they don't take it seriously enough.

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

We have past a dificult to renew our plan. It might be the way that incident.io have been seen their international expansion, but the possibilities offered in the medium/long term, seemed to indicate that the type of expansion they are aiming at may not suit the needs that our company will have in the same period.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any possibility of customization and automation allows our team to focus on problem-solving and less on the operational activities of the incident process. There is not a month that the product does not offer at least one new solution. It's amazing!

 ### 16. Simple and practical tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarciso S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Very intuitive tool, we use it integrated with slack and it works perfectly.
Our process was guided and new people adapt easily

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

So far I haven't found anything that has disappointed me.

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

clarity in the incident process, integration with slack

 ### 17. incident.io - great team, great product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about incident.io?**

Customisation to your team's needs is almost endless. The team is incredibly receptive to feedback and is constantly trying to innovate!

**What do you dislike about incident.io?**

Implementing new software into teams can always be challenging. Just need to make everyone realise how great a tool it can be!

**What problems is incident.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standardising business processes whilst teaching the company the long term value of effective incident resolution and post-incident insights.
