## Impero Reviews
  ### 1. Flexible Framework That Simplifies Risk, Control Testing, and Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian O. | Finansiel controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Impero?**

The framework is non-ristrictive and creates an easy setup of the control environment with a connection between risks, controls, control testing and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Impero?**

Some of the unstructured data is still hard to create value off of. E.g. you have a risk register connected to the controls, but it doesn't show in the controls which risks they mitigate - and you don't have an overview of the controls, and if they all mitigate a control. These problems can of course be solved in other follow-up procedures.

**What problems is Impero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us structure and streamline a large number of controls across multiple countries and entities with ease.

  ### 2. Intuitive, User-Friendly Navigation with Minimal Setup Effort

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra V. | Group Risk Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Impero?**

Usability, intuitive navigation, minimal implementation effort, no advanced technical skills required, and friendly, hands-on customer support that feels like a personal boutique GRC tool

**What do you dislike about Impero?**

I am sharing this opinion from the perspective of working with SOX-oriented companies and tools. Impero is very useful and well suited for organizations at an early stage of their maturity journey. However, the tool does not fully address more sophisticated testing and risk assessment needs. With the leverage of other tools this is achievable, but it is not a one-stop shop

**What problems is Impero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an excellent solution for maintaining a control library, tracking recurring control activities, reconciliations, and other recurring financial tasks, as well as providing clear oversight of execution, automated notifications, and structured evidence storage with a reliable audit trail

  ### 3. Efficient Dashboard and User Groups Make Management Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederikke Arent J. | Group Financial Controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Impero?**

The dashboard provides a convenient overview for quickly checking the status, and I also appreciate the ability to create user groups. This feature makes it easier to assist colleagues with managing the controls.

**What do you dislike about Impero?**

Searching for archived and completed controls can be challenging. After using Impero for an extended period, your activity history accumulates a significant amount of data, which means it can take some time to locate the specific control you need.

**What problems is Impero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Impero supports the implementation of a control framework that enables collaboration across a larger organisation. It also facilitates the use of consistent controls throughout all group entities, which helps ensure alignment in the tasks carried out. Additionally, it is beneficial to have all tasks consolidated in one place.

  ### 4. Super Cool Compliance Management Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aswath V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Impero?**

Ideal compliance tool covering both financial and sustainability requirements.
Great features, dashboards and alert mechanism making the tool userfriendly and easy to use.
Multiple language support is another added feature of Impero.
Many users can use this tool at a time. Easy to integrate with any existing system and platform.
Implementation is super fast and complete end to end support offered by Impero.

**What do you dislike about Impero?**

At times the alert and remainders are slow, but not a major problem.
Customer support is good and can be improved.
No issues with the frequency of use.

**What problems is Impero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ideal solution available in the market for Governance Risk and Compliance. Super cool features and can be customized based on need.
Great solution and completely aligns with market requirments, regulatory needs and internal and external audit related compliance.
Tax compliance, supply chain risk and sustainability compliance can be done quickly and easily.

  ### 5. Good for less complex / mature GRC entities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa Maria G. | Internal Auditor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Impero?**

Easy for the end-user to access and work with, with limited training. Overview of controls and programs is good. Push reports and other notifications are easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Impero?**

Lacking dynamic functions. Controls are designed to be static and mass updates in different areas are not possible. Reporting is limited. Have not seen the ability to "pull" data and "push" connector is unstable.

**What problems is Impero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to document activities performed to perform internal controls (i.e. bank reconciliations) and risk mitigation. We can assign tasks, follow-up easily with the reporting tools. A system of notifications helps "remind" people of tasks. We can share our controls performed with our external auditors for easing of the financial audit.
