This makes it much easier to see that the aspect ratios and clarity of the video are what I need rather than trying to look through a small LCD screen on the camera. Also, the ability to edit on the fly immediately after the recording rather than dumping to a hard drive and editying later is a plus when I am trying to save time. **What do you dislike about iMovie?** I think the software goes through so many updates is a hassle. It seems anytime there is a bug fix in OS, they are also updating the iMovie software. However, this doesn't affect what you are trying to accomplish. I do wish there were more addons that you could use for iMovie, like those you get with FCP. **What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?** This software gives me a way to quickly render and save a video into a smaller file size to make it easier to upload to FCP, Motion, or After Effects. It takes up less room on the hard drives this way, and once saved, I can delete the original larger file. ### 48. I was and still am a bit of a novice when it comes to Imovie, but love how intuitive it is to use, and it can either become as involved as you'd like it to be, it all reallt depends on you. **What do you dislike about iMovie?** Initially i think the one thing that was a bit of a pain to figure out was more the layering of content. Having some of my auido fade out and into the next scene was took a bit to figure out, but a quick Youtube video showed how to layer sounds and clips better to creat a more seemless blend of the content i was using/making. **What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem i was solving was getting my podcast onto another platform to grow the show's overall growth potential. I now also have a platform to host the video content I was getting from the interviews I do and nowhere to put them. The overall benefit of this was that it allowed my show to grow on another platform organically and give a second life to some episodes that weren't doing well. For instance, one of the best performing episodes on YouTube is over 4k views, whereas the audio version only has a few hundred.
