## iMovie Reviews
  ### 1. Can be a bit clunky, but does the job!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taiya K. | Director of Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I do love that iMovie is free and easily accessible on any Apple/MAC product and the recent updates have made it a bit edgier and easier to use which has been nice. It's also great for someone just starting off in film editing and wanting to make some of their videos better.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I do feel like iMovie can be a bit archaic and clunky to use compared to other video editing platforms like FinalCutPro or even CapCut. If you're a moren experienced editor in film I wouldn't use iMovie.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie is great for marketing projects that you don't want to outsource and can quickly edit in house to get out in a timely manner, and that doesn't need a ton of special effects on.

  ### 2. Premium Editing Tool

**Reviewed by:** Amey M. | Manager Human Resource Business Partner, Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

- Easy to Use
- Free for All Apple users
- Latest Technology

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

- Limited Background Sound
- Sometimes it lags

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a youtuber i am getting free plastform for such a great tool

  ### 3. iMovie is so smooth!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary Z. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is super easy to use and has made my marketing efforts 1000% better! It is so easy to splice together a short clip let alone a full-blown movie production.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I feel that iMovie is not as customized as other software applications such as Final Cur Pro. However, this is probably due to the simplicity of iMovie. I do wish there were more built-in audio tracks and transitions.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently work in property management and we are undergoing property wide renovations. iMovie has allowed my team and I to highlight our new upgrades and finishes by creating very clean video tours of our final products.

  ### 4. My experience with iMovie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** pablo c. | Profesor de Marketing online y comunicación, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

What I like most about iMovie is its intuitive and easy to use interface. It is a very user-friendly application, which makes it easy to edit videos even for those who have no previous experience in the field. In addition, it has a wide range of tools and effects that allow me to give a professional touch to my homemade videos. I love the ability to add smooth transitions, flashy titles and background music to create a cinematic atmosphere. I also like the option to export and share my creations directly from the app, which is very convenient.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Although iMovie is an excellent application, it also has some limitations that could be improved. One of the things I don't like is the lack of advanced customisation options. Sometimes, I would like to have more control over certain aspects, such as the duration of transitions or the exact position of elements on the screen. Also, although iMovie offers a variety of effects and filters, I feel that the selection could be wider to provide even more creative options. On the other hand, I have occasionally experienced some sluggishness when working with longer projects or performing certain tasks, which can be frustrating. It would be great to see improvements in the performance and optimisation of the application. Despite these limitations, I find iMovie to still be a powerful and accessible tool for video editing.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie solves several problems related to video editing, which benefits me in several ways. First, it simplifies the editing process by providing an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. This saves me time and effort, as I don't need to learn complex video editing techniques to get quality results.

In addition, iMovie offers a wide range of tools and features that allow me to enhance the visual and audio quality of my videos. I can add special effects, adjust lighting, apply filters and mix background music to create a more immersive experience. This allows me to elevate the aesthetic quality of my videos and capture the attention of my audience more effectively.

Another problem that iMovie solves is the ease of sharing my creations. The application offers direct export and sharing options through popular platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and even AirDrop. This allows me to easily share my videos with friends, family or on social media, giving me a form of creative expression and the ability to connect with others.

  ### 5. Imovie helps me develop my video skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

Simple Interface: iMovie offers a clean and straightforward interface, making it accessible to users who are new to video editing.

Easy Import and Organization: It allows users to import videos, photos, and audio files from various sources and organize them into libraries for easy access.

Drag-and-Drop Editing: iMovie makes it simple to arrange clips on the timeline through drag-and-drop functionality. I can easily trim, split, and rearrange clips with ease.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Advanced Features: While iMovie is a powerful video editing software, it may lack some advanced features and capabilities found in professional-grade software. This limitation might be a drawback for users who require more advanced editing options.

Limited Effects and Transitions: Although iMovie offers a range of effects and transitions, some users feel that the selection is somewhat limited compared to other video editing software. Users seeking a broader range of creative effects may find this aspect restrictive.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined Workflow: iMovie offers a streamlined workflow with intuitive tools and features. It simplifies the process of importing, organizing, editing, and sharing videos, allowing users to focus on their creativity rather than getting caught up in complex technicalities.

Accessibility on Apple Devices: iMovie is specifically designed for Apple devices such as Mac computers, iPhones, and iPads. By integrating seamlessly with the Apple ecosystem, iMovie ensures that users can edit videos conveniently across different Apple devices, benefiting those who already use Apple products.

  ### 6. Best Video Editor for Mobile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

As an auditioning actress, model, and host, I am using iMovie constantly. It is by far the easiest video editing app to use on mobile. I have tried others and always seem to revert back to old reliable iMovie.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I wish you could export in portrait/vertical mode without those black borders on the sides. I think by 2023 they should have automatic vertical editing where the video is exported to fill the full frame without having to crop. Especially since vertical video formats like TikTok are so popular currently.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a built in editor right on my phone so it cuts out the need for downloading or using a third party app that may cost money.

  ### 7. iMovie a helpful tool in making, editing, and presenting B2B and B2C videos

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faith B. | Registered psychotherapist and researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Clips get imported swiftly into the software, and effects can be added to clips, they can get cropped, modified, extended etc., with visual effects added to make a representative and professional video for consumers

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

The only thing that I'm not a fan of is that it takes a bit of time to get the hang of the software, however once you know how to use it, it is super useful and easy.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving marketing and advertisement costs, and helps me compile videos to market my services and products to others using my own technical skills. Helps me be creative in marketing my services

  ### 8. Amazing app to make a family memory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberley N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I love how I can make a collection of pictures and video clips and make my very own movie. The memories to keep of my family. I haven't come across such an easy to use app.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I wish I could put music of my choosing to the movie I make that would make it extra special. Perhaps this is something that could be incorporated within the app.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me create a lasting memory of a collection of clips. I can then share this with others that appreciate this. I can also use it for business projects to promote new ideas.

  ### 9. iMovie on iOS integrates seamlessly with iCloud and supports 4K resolution and 60fps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie on iOS integrates seamlessly with iCloud, allowing users to access their projects from any device. It allows me to use a beautiful template that can be used to create a video trailer and montage. Comparing this to the iMovie on Mac, I find that the touchscreen interfaces on my iPad allows me to perform various editing tasks by tapping and dragging directly on the screen

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

iMovie on iOS has limited audio editing capabilities, making adjusting audio levels, applying effects, or synchronizing audio with video clips difficult. However this is different on the version on Mac. On iMovie on iOS there is very little export option, so you need to depend on iMovie on Mac to export other video formats.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie on iOS allows users to capture video footage directly within the app using the device's integrated camera, while iMovie on Mac requires me to import footage from a separate camera or device. The editing work for video directly after shooting the video can be done straight away on my iPhone or iPad without the need to import into the Mac.

  ### 10. Dead simple tool for quick and easy video editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonah H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie doesn't require much training at all. Add the clips and other media you want to use and edit away using all of the features you might want to make a professional looking video

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Some of the transitions and titles don't work as seamlessly as one might like. It has shortcomings in terms of customization because the core functionality needs to remain user-friendly.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I will often use iMovie when making recorded presentations for clients or other internal stakeholders that need to be more polished than a quick screen grab. Using iMovie allows me to record a presentation, demo, and audio and stitch them all together with each take individually. If there are parts of the clip that need to be corrected or re-recorded, it's very easy to replace those sections with a better take. Furthermore, it's easy to cut out parts of the presentation where there is loading time or other unnecessary pauses.

  ### 11. Good enough

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna A. | Senior Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I like that it's straightforward to use. It isn't overloaded with tools you may not need or use. You can drag images, graphics and videos into the timeline and quickly move them around to create the video you want.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

With limited tools, it's not the best program for extensive video editing. It's challenging (maybe impossible?) to change the size of the video, and there are only a few outdated transitions and titles to choose from.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When creating a quick, simple video for social media or our website, iMovie works well. It helps expedite the process and usually produces a decent result. It's not overcomplicated and easy for most people to learn quickly.

  ### 12. A good video editing solution for a beginner, a bit of a learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan S. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

the app has a lot of shortcuts and automation that make it easier for a beginner to put together a video or even just use a template based on common uses. I would recommend one-off life memory videos and slideshows.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

If you know what you want and just want to put together something specific quickly, you will quickly start running into walls due to the fact that IMovie is designed to hold the user's hand and only be used for "common consumer" uses.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to put together some training videos into a single video and make some quick tutorials for my company. Since we use Macintosh computers this was the obvious choice for a video editor.

  ### 13. A user friendly and Intuitive Video Editing Software for Apple devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is a user friendly video editing software that comes pre-installed on all apple devices. It allows users to create high quality videos with ease and without needing any prior editing experience.
One of the standout features of iMovie is it's drag-and-drop interface, which allows users to easily add and arrange clips, photos and music.

It also offers variety of editing tools such as trimming, splitting, cropping as well as adjusting color and brightness.

iMovie makes it easy to share your finished videos directly to social media platforms, including YouTube and facebook.

Overall, I would say that iMovie is great software for both beginners and experienced video editors. It's editing tools and it's intuitive interface makes it easy to use even if you're new to video editing

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

While it's a great editing software, there are some limitations and drawbacks to consider.

Firstly it's only available on apple devices, so if anyone using a PC or an Android device cannot use it. This is can be drawback if you want to collaborate with others who are not using Apple devices.

Another limitation is that iMovie does not offer the same level of advanced editing features as other professional video editing softwares like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final cut Pro. While it has range of basic editing tools and effects,it may not be suitable for more complex video editing projects.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits of iMovie are numerous. For individuals, it allows them to easily create videos for personal use such as home movies, travel videos and social media content. For businesses and organizations, it can be used to create promotional videos, training videos, and any other types of content.

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

IT's FREE. You can do almost everything with iMovie assuming you're putting together basic videos. It's easy to learn and I implement it into my workflow at least one per week to cut together raw footage a b-roll.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It could use some updating as far as title transitions and backgrounds.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I'm aware of.

  ### 15. Easy to use movie making software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariff H. | Branch Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I movie is amazing in a way it is super easy to use and understand in terms ux design.just click some photos and videos it can create a movie base on your interest.later on user can manually edit or touch up

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I was hoping to see subtittle and subtittle bank for different language.i think it is important because i need to manually insert subtittle after i download the movie.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It help me a lot by creating a movie like memories.for example movies about yesterday brithday celebration or honeymoon with loved ones.imagine a new way of storing memorable moments other than photos, now we have our own movies to reminisce good times

  ### 16. Fast, reliable and to the point

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It is easy to get the ground running. Straightforward interface and intuitive tools at your disposal. Ideal for quick projects and creating a template/flow for your video needs.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It doesn't contain too many transitions and effects. There are very limited text effects, and it is very hard to find plug-ins that will work. It would also be great if there were more than two timelines.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly create videos for youtube or social media that suits my channels in an easy way. It also comes with any Apple computers or products and doesn't require extra purchases or subscriptions.

  ### 17. Simple yet powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I remember the first time I purchased an iMac and began using the apple os. I had previously been working on a Microsoft pc and was trying to finish a video project of my sisters wedding. I had been working on that project for months, but could never get it to work.

The same day I got the new iMac, I uploaded all of the video files to iMovie. Within the hour, I had edited, exported, and then burnt that video to a dvd. The I was shocked at how easy it was... it just worked!!

Since then, my family has created hundreds of video projects in iMovie. It's simple, intuitive and powerful.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

The main con for iMovie is that it’s a basic editing application. Even though this makes it easy to use, it also limits what you can do in it.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's quick to use for most simple video editing projects. We can easily upload video files from recent jobs and edit them from either our phones or computers and then export them to a variety of platforms.

  ### 18. iMovie for simple, small video presentations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajat H. | DevOps engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It has a decent interface, simple but easy to use. It does not have a lot of complexity to it, so if you just need something quick and easy, it is a good choice to produce a basic video presentation. It looks similar to Final Cut Pro X in many ways

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It can be too basic at times. Some additional features would make it a better intermediate application to the very complex Final Cut Pro X

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to make some quick video presentations of my photos and movies from my travels with out much difficulty.

  ### 19. Great video editing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pulkit G. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

The best thing is that it seems so easy to use once you learn how to use it. It is user friendly. It works as you want it to work. Would recommend anyday. It is of great use.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

At starting it might seem difficult to use for some users. There are icons without their names written, so it is somewhat difficult for a person in the starting.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has become super easy to edit a video now with iMovie. We can us eit on iPhone as well as Macbook. It is easy to apply sound effects at background of a video.

  ### 20. iMovie is the best free video editing tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kat W. | Social Media Manager, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie has an easy-to-navigate interface and is quick to learn how to use. I also like all the keyboard shortcuts that you can use. Makes editing very seamless and quick to do.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It does have its limitations. I wish it gave more flexibility in the caption/text options. There should be more fonts and you should be able to movie the text anywhere on the screen.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't afford editors like Final Cut Pro, so iMovie is a great option. I like that it can be accessed via desktop, laptop and mobile so no matter where you are, you can edit.

  ### 21. iLove iMovie!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganesha C. | Health And Wellness Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I've been using iMovie for over fifteen years, and that's what I like best. The fact that it's been around as long as it has, with automatic updates and excellent customer service, is really the best any software can offer!

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Compared to other softwares, there really aren't that many downsides to iMovie. The only thing I really have to dislike is the included options for stock audio and video footage. I wish iMovie offered more.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to hire anyone to make educational videos or promotional videos for my small business. iMovie is user-friendly enough for me to be able to satisfy my needs on my own.

  ### 22. Easy to use, simple video editing software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex J. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It's pretty easy to use for someone who does not have expertise in design and/or video editing. I can quickly record screen grabs in Quicktime and create an iMovie with fades between clips, etc.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I don't know how iMovie compares to other video editing software. It seems pretty basic, so I'd be curious to know how it differs and why people like others more.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie helps me make compelling content for our social and other marketing channels. With the focus on short-form video content these days, it's been a valuable tool to use.

  ### 23. Great tool for quick results

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is convenient tool to make simple video's quickly. It also is very slick with some of its pre-configured themes to apply to your videos. For beginners, this is a great tool to roll your sleeves up an start using with no training, and support is a google search away.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Compared to other, more enterprise-ready tools, iMovie lacks many features. It can also sometimes be very cumbersome when splicing together multiple different cuts, and be able to arrange them appropriatly. Some of it's features are not as customizable as one would like sometimes due to it's basic "on/off" concept of doing some things.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick and dirty, internal use video's for fun team purposes. It is something that anyone can use to make quick team-building type of video's for meetings and outings.

  ### 24. Easy to Use Video Editing App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe P. | Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

No matter how skilled you are in video making, iMovie's easy-to-use technology allows users of all ages and backgrounds to create short and long films for personal or business use.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

There is not many things I dislike about iMovie, aside from how much storage it takes up on my phone, which may be a me problem then the app's problem. I find that using it on the desktop works a lot better for me.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making videos and adding cuts and elements is time-consuming, but iMovie gives me time back in my day by making it simple to create videos and allowing my creative juices to flow.

  ### 25. iMovie is the best video editing platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JK D. | Digital Production Coordinator, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I have downloaded many video editing apps, but always come back to iMovie. iMovie is extremely user friendly, allowing you to easily trim, adjust, and edit various video clips to seamlessly create a customized video of your own. The main benefit of iMovie is that it is free and conveniently included with all Apple devices.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

The only downside is that the mobile version of iMovie is not as easy to use as the desktop version. When editing a video, I always prefer to use iMovie on my Macbook, but in a pinch, the mobile version is a relatively good substitute for basic video editing needs.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often create video montages of family vacations, fun memories, and more. I love that iMovie allows me to easily piece these clips together for a professional looking result.

  ### 26. iMovie Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denzel Philip B. | Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

What is most helpful about iMovie is that it is free, user-friendly, and easy for new users to pick up on. The app has the basic features to create a simple video edit.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Something worth noting about iMovie is that the available features for video effects or transitions may be limited compared to alternative video editing software. Paid alternative software may be required to gain access to more advanced features.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie allows me to combine several video clips into one single video while providing the ability to organize clips, overlay with audio, and utilize transitions between clips.

  ### 27. iMovie for Novice Video Editing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob B. | Student Minister of Creative Arts, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It is simple in it's most basic form. You can drag a video clip in and then export it with minor edits within minutes. That allows it to be accessible to a larger group of people.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It has limitations when it comes to effectiveness. Compared to something like Premiere or Final Cut, it definitely is in the beginner stage and not the expert realm.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a quick and easy way to edit and clean up videos without having to know a bunch of different software. It came pre-loaded onto my Mac and was easy to use.

  ### 28. The MacOS staple grows up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adex G. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I like that it's super user friendly and intuitive. It allows any starting creator the ability to edit their content freely and rather painlessly, and produce professional looking results.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

While it's offerings are incredible and I have grown to really like where it's going, some features are limited and the lack of expansion or add-ones can be rather frustrating.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While I am an advance video editor, iMovie is all I need some times when I'm just trying to edit something quickly and go about my day. It's also great for audio exporting.

  ### 29. iMovie review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George k. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I like the drag-and-drop easy to use Also it's on my Mac already installed so essentially free also the audio and editing elements easy to use once you get the hang of it

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

There is a bit of a learning curve once you get the principles it's okay sometimes the music isn't as comprehensive as you like and the elements can be a bit tricky to learn

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tells me create an edit video pretty quickly on my Mac just basic editing video can also extract the audio if needed the transitions are good and easy to make it more professional and presentable

  ### 30. Rich content!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** figen y. | copwriter, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

With iMovie, my photos and videos look much more professional now. It has a very rich content. It has features that I did not think of! I can make exciting movies.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I want more effects! Definitely! great app but there should be more effects. I make my own short content using this application and I think it should be developed a little more.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a content creator and I make money from this business. So my job is videos. I use iMovie very often to produce good content. doing my job! I think anyone can use it.

  ### 31. Good for amateur video editing but with little flexibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Augusto G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I like the templates that can be selected to frame the entire video, from start to finish. They make it look fun, and people are surprised because it makes it look good.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

What I like least is the lack of flexibility in the resources that can be carried out. On the other hand, I love the templates but after making several videos they start to repeat themselves, that is, there are few templates.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me to make videos quickly for my family, friends on special occasions such as weddings, birthdays or special parties. The truth is that from the beginning it was beneficial that it came installed on the Mac because I did not have to go out and buy video editing software.

  ### 32. Bring out the filmmaker in you with iMovie!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divya S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

For both novices and experts in video editing, iMovie is a popular choice thanks to its user-friendly interface, robust editing features, and seamless connection with Apple devices.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

First of all, it is only available for Apple devices which makes it of no use to non-Apple users. I feel it has limited advanced features for professional video editing.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie makes video editing simple so that even individuals with little technical expertise or experience can use it.iMovie saves users time and effort compared to more sophisticated and professional video editing software by offering a user-friendly interface and a variety of editing options. It makes it unnecessary to learn challenging procedures and enables rapid changes and alterations.

  ### 33. Great way to learn basics of editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard T. | Director & Editor , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

You can pick up the basics of editing very quickly with lots of easy to use templates. Its a great way to learn and progress to more advanced software such as Final Cut or Adobe.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Its limited to basic colour and audio correction which is fine for personal projects or simple edits but its more limited for professional longer edits. There are a lack of plugins/add-ons.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can help create basic edits which you can then advance to Final Cut when you are ready to advance your skills. Projects can be transferred from iMovie to Final Cut easily.

  ### 34. Anyone can be a filmmaker

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica D. | Co-Founder, Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I like how easy it is to drag and drop any file on your computer and make it part of a moving, cinematic experience. I use it for home movies all the time: to make video diaries of vacations we've taken or parties that we've had.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I find you really have to lean into the templates and the default fonts, etc - thereby making every iMovie movie LOOK like it was made on iMovie... either that or you have to be a more sophisticated filmmaker than I am in order to customize.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie makes it very easy to arrange media into an order and format that works for moving images - it even makes it easy to use photos and make them into a video.

  ### 35. Best tool for video editing beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorena M. | Content creator and strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

First off that is free and comes with my mac, and then that's pretty easy to use and intuitive, learning how to use it felt really ease and it comes everything you need to edit videos

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Probably that you cannot use multiple layers like in other more sophisticated editing software,to mix more videos and photos and text but for simple video editing it does the work

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating video content with ease for youtube and etsy shop. It also helps me convert screen recordings i made using QuickTime that have variable fps to a constant/stable fps with ease.

  ### 36. Easy video maker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | The Communicator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is a super easy to use video creation software. You can simply drag and drop videos and images, create movement, add effects and transitions, and edit audio. I use it to create short videos and it takes no time at all.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Sometimes splitting the clip affects the audio and it can be hard to get it just right. Editing the audio could be a bit more user-friendly. Everything else works well.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating promotional videos and testimonials to add to YouTube and post to our social media channels.

  ### 37. Easy, convenient and free. Can't go wrong for simple videos

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It's included with your Mar or iOS device, so it's "free"... In Mac, it's a fairly decent editor, if your expectations about trimming and composition aren`t too high. In mobile phone does a decent job, and the edition, although a bit complicated as the screen is small, is practical and works fine.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Templates and effects are a bit "dated", and obviously focused in "personal projects".

Among that, if you have tried Premiere Pro's latest "toys" or are an Avid or Final Cut Pro user, you'll see it's a VERY different product.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick videos for tutorials and phone captured footage can be easily edited in iMovie. It's fast and easy, so for the casual use it's more than enough.

  ### 38. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian C. | Actor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I love how easy it is to use and understand. The transition dissolves, titles and even picture and pictures, absolutely wonderful. iMovie makes it fun to edit and get creative.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Maybe that it does not have enough effects, dissolves or editing tools as much as Final Cut does. But still, I truly appreciate iMovie because it gets the job done quickly.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an actor, so iMovie is my go-to editing software I primarily use for self tapes. It's quick, easy and very handy to have on my phone and my laptop. I love it!

  ### 39. Easy to use video editing software for beginners with little to no experience.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subin V. | Junior Researcher & Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

The ease of use, user-friendliness, so many existing soundbites, visual effects & transitions to choose from - it's more than you would ever need to start off with!

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Editing the titles & text on screen can sometimes be a task, text placement can often be different post-processing, size of the font & even font itself can change - this could be improved.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A free-to-use video editing software that does not require any work on the user's end to find, access, download, etc. For a beginner like me, it's a great starting point for projects.

  ### 40. The best editor on phones.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoffrey H. | Owner/Operator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie shines best when used on mobile devices. It's a simple tool, which isn't a bad thing when you need a quick edit on the field.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It has many limitations. If you're used to more robust editors like Premiere Pro or Resolve, it'll take some getting used to.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use iMovie on my iPhone to make quick recap edits for events at work. This keeps me from having to bring my laptop everywhere when I just need a simple edit done.

  ### 41. The best ally to start editing video

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan C. | Líder CRM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie allows you to start video editing easily and clearly; its use is user-friendly and has drag-and-drop functions, a timeline, and a viewer. Also, you can export in media format.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

When you want to go beyond the basics, you may encounter limitations, creating the need to buy a more advanced program in functionality, like Final Cut Pro, developed by Apple.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps do small things mainly because it's free; if you don't have a budget, it's a great way to start video editing.

  ### 42. Perfect for on the go editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander B. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

The app on your phone is super simple to use when on the go. Very easy to navigate and is easy to make quick edits to already made videos.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Hard to get on computers that are not apple. Could give your more functions and is more for simple editing issues.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to make videos and last minute updates and edits to videos on my phone so I am able to be more productive and fix things as they are needed. It is more of a supplementary video editing software.

  ### 43. Great for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Breiane W. | Internet Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It's a quick way to produce quality video content with little editing and film experience. It's is extremely user-friendly and offers many templates to create a production that works well for you.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It does tend to get a little cheesy. I wish there were more sound/music options and a broader choice of templates to find a good match for specific content ideas.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because iMovie is so easy to use, it makes editing videos very easy and efficient. I can quickly piece together quality videos to use for content that viewers can enjoy.

  ### 44. iMovie: a simple tool for educators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey P. | Technology Coordinator, Primary/Secondary Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is a simple and intuitive application that can benefit teachers and educators in creating quick, yet professional-looking instructional or lesson videos. The bonus is that it comes free on MacOS.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

For the creative individual, you might find iMovie limited and lacking in filters, effects and editing capability. This is an introductory video editor, so one will not create cinematic-quality movies.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a simple video editing tool that makes it easy and quick to make instructional videos and lesson guides for continuing education for young and old learners.

  ### 45. Easy to use, a few features and creates a good result

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monique L. | Production Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie is a pretty good video editing app. It comes standard on iPhone and doesn't cost anything
to use. I like it because it is simple and easy to use. The final product is pretty good and there are no watermarks.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Unfortunately there are not enough features to make it competitive with some other editing apps. The features that it includes are basic.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iMovie is able to help me create seamless videos using photos and video and add music and voiceover if necessary.

  ### 46. Fastest user friendly video editor

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas L. | Owner , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

For the most part everything is drag and drop. I still use iMovie even though I have after effects and Adobe suite. I like the simplicity.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

I feel like iMovie has been around for sometime.... They need more transitions and titles. It would be nice to be able have a few more options that are in after effects.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use iMovie usually to save time, or to do medial task like converting the file and clipping sound to send along for other coworkers.

  ### 47. Incredibly useful for a basic free video editor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Founder & Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

I love that it's user-friendly and built into both my MacBook and iPhone. It's also free!

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Sometimes the capabilities are limited or processes over over simplified.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes video editing and compilation easier on the go and at home. I can create and combine videos into one longer movie quickly and easily. It benefits me because I don't have to pay for another service when only requiring basic editing tools which is most common for me.

  ### 48. iMovie review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

It's not complicated to use and it is common because anyone with an apple phone or mac can use it.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

It is very limited when it comes to sound editing. Not much can be done to enhance. Even to remove background noise is very limited.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I edit about three videos a week. It is easy to input the project data you need. It has some basic transitions/backgrounds. It makes my job a little easier.

  ### 49. Powerful Tool for Simpler Jobs!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin A. | Operations manager/Digital Engagement, Consumer Goods, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iMovie?**

iMovie allows for quick splicing and basic editing. It makes it quick and easy to cut clips, add transitions music, sounds, and speech recordings, adjust volumes, and layer content. There are a lot of export options as well for quick content creation.

**What do you dislike about iMovie?**

Some tools are not as intuitive to use as I would like. As well it would be nice to have some smart functions. One edit required me to add several sound clips that I needed to adjust the volume on. I had to grab the slider on each one individually.

**What problems is iMovie solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to make quick edits to training content, and informational content. It is a quick and easy way to create content that is engaging without the need to build something from scratch.
