Before iManage each department was on their separate network drive, and we were unable to access each other's files. iManage allows us to work together and eliminate unnecessary downtime related to document sharing. The ability to co-author documents within iManage allows multiple practice areas to work on the same document without the risk of losing versions. When partnering with other department members, iManage allows us visibility into the whole picture, both emails, and documents. Allowing anyone access to the current status of the matter and visibility into the information, they need to contribute. **What do you dislike about iManage Work?** There have been so pain points with using iManage however their support team is always ready for feedback and ideas for improvement. My team alone have contributed to a lot of the feature improvements. One thing I wish iManage had was more training documentation on the basics of Work Web, like how to open a new matter. Detailed descriptions of what iManage is and how it can be used. iManage recently launched Use iManage which I am excited to use when training new and exisiting users. **What problems is iManage Work solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved for separate filing locations within our global team. I've yet to have any dislikes of the system. I would not implement on-premise and recommend the cloud solution. **Recommendations to others considering iManage Work:** Go with cloud and look at the other available tools for security and information governance, SPM and Threat Manager. **What problems is iManage Work solving and how is that benefiting you?** With over 250 attorneys and close to 500 total people creating documents, the system provides the firm with a solution for managing those documents. One thing that comes to mind is that no reporting features are built-in (another product is required). **Recommendations to others considering iManage Work:** The number one principle in our deployment strategy was keeping the product as out-of-box as possible. Our users have the freedom to access documents from any platform or browser, This was especially important during the lockdown when all of our workforce need to access our document management system remotely. **What do you dislike about iManage Work?** There is little to dislike about the application; it just works. The migration to iManage Work in the cloud helped our users and us be more flexible and freed up our IT staff to work on more critical issues. We were up and running quickly, from uploading documents and folders to quickly OCR'ing pdf files. iManage Work is how a document management system should work. We were able to offload all IT functions. Users can view and retrieve past version of documents in cases of accidental overwrites, a task that was solely and IT process. **What problems is iManage Work solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we had iManage Work, users couldn't work on the same document at the same time. Version history and keeping track of who was in a paper at a given time was a nightmare for us. iManage Work with co-authoring made this process so simple. The Office and Adobe integrations were a game-changer, and we love that you can work on the web interface, out of outlook, or on mobile devices. Most attorney work teams were able to catch on very quickly. **What do you dislike about iManage Work?** The migration of existing data from our shared drive had a few hiccups, however it all worked out for the better in the end. We implemented iManage during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was also unique and very challenging, since we did not have the face-to-face customer interaction for training. **What problems is iManage Work solving and how is that benefiting you?** Secure creation of folder structures without relying on IT is probably the best feature. The application also allows mobility and can be accessed offsite, unlike the older shared network drive solution.
