While IKAS is rapidly evolving, some advanced features found in enterprise-level platforms (such as highly customizable B2B workflows or advanced automation rules) are still under development. The fact that ikas offers a clean and well understood user interface that makes the store setup so easy- tap tap and the store is set is something that I find very useful, particularly without heavy tech support. Although ikas is awesome in smaller to middle sized applications, advanced setups (perhaps shipping or stock tracking in non-fashion workflows) would be served well by having more customization options. We had signed an agreement that we meticulously planned for over a month, where we were going to distribute 15,000 coupon codes. After signing the deal, we generated the coupon codes. However, on the very day the distribution was supposed to begin, the category structure was completely changed due to an Ikas update.

In a normal e-commerce system, subcategories are nested under their respective main categories. But now, all subcategories are displayed at once under each main category, completely ignoring the hierarchical structure.

The company we made the agreement with called us and asked for the issue to be fixed. We told them we were handling it, but when we relayed the issue to Ikas, they said:

“This change came with a general update. Unfortunately, we will forward your request to our technical team. They will process your request. There’s no clear timeline for when it will be resolved.”

Naturally, we cannot say anything to our partner company. They no longer want to proceed with the coupon code distribution because the category section looks confusing and it hasn’t been fixed.

Thanks to Ikas, we are about to lose a major commercial agreement. We will suffer significant losses due to Ikas changing our site structure on their own, without informing or consulting us.

Worse yet, Ikas seems completely indifferent. When I reach out to the support team, they give the same generic responses: “We have forwarded your request to our team,” etc. It appears even they cannot do anything about it.

Now I have two questions:

1. To the Ikas representative reading this: What would you do if you were in my position and lost this deal?

2. If I lose this agreement because of Ikas, will Ikas compensate for my losses?

Ikas has been a game-changer for managing my online store. What stands out the most is its incredibly user-friendly interface. I'm not particularly tech-savvy, but I was able to navigate the platform and get my store operational without feeling overwhelmed. It's very intuitive, which is a huge plus. You can own multiple stores, add and manage all products in a single place. There are multiple features, like if you are a programmer and going to code and build your own eCommerce site, it would take a lot of time. You can verify your domain, set up payment methods, and allow users to offer discounts during amazing events. It's just awesome! You can create multiple storefronts using built-in templates, list your products, mention your prices, and manage delivery and payments. You can also do marketing using the built-in bulk email feature and other marketing tools. Additionally, you can generate reports and analyze your sales, clothing, and more.
