Smart solutions for redundancy, historical collection and security. Easy to set up and use. **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX?** Sometimes old bugs come back in new releases. Some of the tools look dated (but works well). **What problems is Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a consultant I meet people and busineses in various industries. iFIX is everywhere from waterplants and district heating to manufacturing of food and steel. They have all the parts that you could need to fix any phone. This is a great deal because it's expensive to buy a new phone nowadays. Very comfortable and nice organized . Friendly to use. Easy to export things that we need. Easy to use like OPC server. You can find what you need on you tube tutorials. Communication is not hard to set up and it is good and fast working. You have Histrorian integration. In one point it looks like Siemens WinCC on what I was studied about SCADA. Help system is always there when you stack and its good explained what you should do in that moments. I recommend this iFix SCADA and OPC so everybody should try it its so fun when you are testing and learning new things. **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX?** Not so much tutorials for people who never used SCADA systems. So many menus and options confuses me sometimes at some points (I always worries when I see blanc edit box). I would like to see examples for connecting to all kind of plc types. I think it have what it needs to be competitive with other SCADA programs and products. Creating SCADA screens is very simple with a graphical interface and no scripting is required. Also the software is very easy for a new person to pick up, it really does not require any previous experience in the SCADA field. **What do you dislike about Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX?** The software dates back pretty far, so some parts of the software need updating. There are some pieces of the software which go back to the early Windows days and they to be brought into the current age. Also the PC requirements are becoming very narrow, only Windows 10 is supported on the current version. **What problems is Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using iFix to make the running and maintaining of machines easier and faster. Our customers have said that the software is very easy to use and navigate which is making our business look better. I am overall very happy with the software. Overall the software has been excellent to use and easy for everyone to pick up.
