I only use for cloud storage (no file sync). I only signed up on 25th June 2026. I have the Mini 500GB plan. In truth, I didn’t even think I needed cloud storage; it was always a "nice-to-have" rather than an essential. But the Mini plan ($9.95/year for 500GB) was simply too good of a deal to pass up. I find IDrive Online and SaaS Backup, Object Storage e2 to be one of the most user-friendly software options for backing up all my drives, PC, and mobile phones. I’m one of those users who just depend on what comes through the purchase of your phone. I use iPhone so I’m accustomed to using iCloud because it’s already provided and is easily accessible. However, iCloud is ridiculously expensive, and it keeps everything right on your phone and still uses a lot of local device storage with backups in the cloud. This is when I looked for and came across IDrive—I was skeptical at first but they had amazing intro offers. Their website was beautifully designed and appeared legitimately. I purchased a plan, easily signed up for the iPhone app after downloading, and boom—there I was. It was that simple. This is the best backup tool I've used. When picking what to backup, it allows you to browse through your files and select the exact files you want to backup and the files to exclude. It's also very affordable. I picked the Mini 500GB for only $10 a year. It integrates other cloud storage providers, such as OneDrive and others. Setup is very easy and it always accurately syncs files. I also like how the scheduled backup intelligently tells you exactly what was successfully synced, plus any error logs to make sure everything important gets backed up.
