I really like the all-in-one cross-platform protection IDrive Online and SaaS Backup, Object Storage e2 provides. It has a unified dashboard that lets me back up everything like PCs, Macs, servers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, without needing separate tools for each. This is a huge win because for small businesses or teams without dedicated IT, it simplifies everything and eliminates the chaos of managing multiple backup solutions. For enterprises, it really streamlines visibility and control across the entire fleet. The zero-compromise SaaS backup is another big plus; I own my data, and unlike other tools, IDrive allows point-in-time recovery for SaaS data and stores backups in a separate cloud. This means my data is safe without the complexity of enterprise-only tools. The Continuous Data Protection (CDP) along with flexible backup rules is also great because it lets me automatically and in real-time back up active files, preventing any changes from being lost, but without causing network issues. IDrive Online excels at native device/SaaS backup, but it has no out-of-the-box integration with popular enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Backup Exec) for hybrid on-prem/cloud workflows. If you use these tools for on-prem server backup, you can’t natively sync those backups to IDrive Online—you have to manually move data or use IDrive e2 as a middleman (adding extra steps). If a disaster takes out both on-prem storage and endpoints, restoring data requires separate, uncoordinated steps: Restore on-prem VMs/servers from enterprise backup tool files stored in IDrive e2, Restore SaaS/endpoint data from IDrive Online, Manually reconcile data across the two systems (e.g., sync on-prem server data with SaaS Google Workspace files). This software was easy to install and setup. The user interface is easily navigated. It offers a full range of features for a reasonable price. Backups are performed faithfully as ordered. I love the fantastic product support IDrive Online and SaaS Backup, Object Storage e2 offers. The tech support was incredibly efficient, resolving the havoc caused by my previous experience with OneDrive in under 15 minutes. The ease of setup was a big plus for me, and I appreciate the ability to have scheduled and real-time backups along with version control. I find it especially valuable that it provides effortless, 'enable and forget' backup of all my creative files and nearly 75 years of family photos. iDrive has been extremely helpful and easy to use. I am to back up both my computer and external drive without any issues. The website, the mac os app, and iPhone app, make it easy to access my files whenever I need to. iDrive is easy to customize specific folders and also reminds you if you forget to do a schedule backup. IDrive was honestly the easiest online backup system I've used!

Primarily I was drawn to the good price compared to more traditional Google, Dropbox etc. systems, as there was nothing comparable to the quantity vs price of TB's you get with IDrive

I did extensive research before I purchased, and one thing I saw a few times was some reviews saying it was slow to upload, but I had no issues at all and was super fast - to be fair this has ore to do with your ISP than IDrive making it slow...

It was super easy to create folders and organise everything as I would on my laptop or external hard drives

My main reason for buying this is I wanted a backup that was online to avoid relying solely on external hard drives for all my work, photos, and to backup my laptop.

I also bought this just before going overseas to again negate the need to take any hards drives with me.

I've been using a few weeks and so far I've found nothing I disliked about the IDrive system. I am yet to create scheduled backups for my laptop, but so far I can't see anything that might be an issue as it all seems very straight forward Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Software is well designed and clear and easy to use. So far, IDrive has made it very easy to do an initial backup by sending me a hard drive to do a local backup and have them upload it to their server. The scheduling and incremental backups seem to be well thought through.

I also like that I can access any individual file and restore it selectively.

I like that with IDrive Online and SaaS Backup, Object Storage e2, it's super easy to add photos on top of photos that are already there without having duplicates. I was looking for a reasonably-priced backup solution that would perform cloud backup up all my important personal files and multimedia from my Windows PC. IDrive absolutely met all of my requirements. I wanted a product that would automatically backup the files on a set schedule. It must be easy to setup and perform incremental backups (only files that are new or have been changed) quickly.

Product installation was quick and easy and the interface is intuitive and very easy to use. The initial backup of about 93GB of data only took less than 45 minutes using high speed internet. Very impressive performance. Every night it backs up about 2.5GB of changed data without fail and sends me a status report email to notify me of the backup results.
