The functionality for non-Word documents, or for Word documents with complex content (tables, figures, add-ins, etc) is more limited than for relatively simple Word documents. The ability for multiple users to review the same document, down to the letter, is great. Though many of these features are now in MS Office applications, PleaseReview has been doing it for years, but most importantly, the ability to generate a report to see which participants entered the review and what they did is unmatched. The support when we have issues was excellent in the beginning, and then it wasn't for some time, but we are now starting to see improvements in response times as well as the quality of the responses again, so we are hopeful for the future. Eliminates much of the redundancy seen when reviews are done in isolation from other collaborators. Allows collaborators to have discussions and adjudicate within the document. Auditability, ease of seeing who has begun a review, check for early signals of disaster (ie, 300 comments from 1 reviewer), encourage stakeholders to communicate with each other, use of report as agenda for CRM/roundtable.
