Audit Analytics has excellent coverage of listed companies within the US and Europe and is very easy to use. Not only do I perosnally use the data, but I regularly encourage my dissertation students to do so as well. I have accessed the data both directly from the Ideagen platorm and via the WRDS data feed. I would like to see the global coverage provided by the database increase beyond North America and Europe to include Austrlaia, New Zealand, China and data from companies listed in developing economies, such as South Africa. The data has allowed my PhD student to conduct research into the recent disclosures of Critical Audit Matters in the US, in addtion to UK research examining the disclosure of Key Audit Matters. The ease with which the data can be accessed and downloaded has made this a "go-to" resource for both my UG and PG dissertation students interested in pursing various audit related topics.
