## iContact Reviews
  ### 1. Deleted Contacts After too many Bounces

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about iContact?**

It was a fast way to contact many people. I thought the email templates are nice and it was easy to send out newsletters and holiday marketing.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Deleted contacts after bounced. I would have like to keep the good ones and bad ones to filter them out but tech team deleted everything from my account. I would have liked it if someone consulted me before doing this instead of just citing spam laws and deleting every contact I have.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Make sure you are not sending out mass emails to leads and that everyone has signed up via your website or they will flag your account and delete everything.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deleting of contacts without permission. Benefits - nice emails are sent out and trial email is nice to preview what it would look like.

  ### 2. Too basic for what we needed

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2021

**What do you like best about iContact?**

iContact was very simple to pick up and use.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I couldn't accurately segment my email campaigns because the functionality wasn't there.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enabled us to establish a regular email approach, and helped us understand what we needed in an email platform.

  ### 3. There are no tutorials in Spanish, and it is difficult to get information online

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan G. | Manager of Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The tools are very good and allow excellent control of emails, sent files and conversations.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

There are no tutorials in Spanish, and it is difficult to get information online to answer questions, forcing you to turn to customer service for any questions.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it was used to manage emails for online classes and distance courses. With this, emails were sent to the students with study guides, as well as information about the courses, reminders or information about important dates (end of levels, completion of courses or deadlines for payment)

  ### 4. It does what I need it to do and not much more

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

icontact is pretty easy to use and integrates with our CRM (Salesforce), which is important to our organization, and allows us to monitor and track email data.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Icontact lacks flexibility in designing e-mails (unless you know html). I have sometimes been frustrated by the limitations design-wise, because you have to stick to specific blocks. The templates are not particularly modern looking, although I have been able to create decent looking -mails.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

If you are looking for a communications tool that integrates with Salesforce, this one does that and works fine. I have no raving reviews, and would not necessarily recommend icontact as I don't love the way the e-mails look, but it works well for what we need it for, and I haven't had terrible experiences, in fact their support has been very helpful to me.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can integrate with Salesforce to keep track of information about how individual contacts interact with email communications.

  ### 5. Good

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The software is easy to use and offers enough flexibility to get our messaging out to our residents.
Rapid distribution is helpful, particularly when time is of the essence- as in an announcement that is time sensitive.
At our business, we appreciate the timed releases, simple platform, and easy-to-access data following an email release.
It's easy to use as long as you don't try to get creative. I also like that you can copy a previous email and use it as a template for a new email - much quicker.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I would like to see more seamless integrations with other software and extensions, such as a text-to-join feature.
There are UI areas in the software that can be improved. The creation and management of segments needs to be easier.
Limited framework of colors, boxes, etc. The former software had more flexibility in layout. When the changeover was made, the help desk was booked a week out.
The one thing I wish I could do is edit images within the document if the sizing is not quite right. If they can ever get this functionality going, it will be perfect!

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my life loads easier. I can use my graphic design abilities to make eye catching emails and that intrigues people which leads them to want more information about our church. I can whip up an email in less than half the time it took prior to contracting with iContact. Also, being able to call customer support and rarely have to be on hold is a benefit along with the support coming from people who are easy to talk to, who converse as real people rather sounding mawkish.

  ### 6. Lacks mobile app and they’re very slow to improve the platform

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Allows custom DKIM, drag and drop creator is fairly easy to use.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Lacks mobile app, very few improvements to the platform over the last few years, few built-in integrations with other SAAS platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Consider your needs. Mailchimp is much easier to use, integrates with everything out-of-the-box, is easy to setup, allows you to build and launch campaigns on a mobile app and much more.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deliverability is pretty good and negotiated pricing is reasonable for a list of 70,000+, but there’s nothing to get excited about here.

  ### 7. iContact Review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I like being able to reuse an email once its been sent.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

There are many inefficiencies with the software, such as not being able to send more than one document automatically when new contacts are added to a list.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am making it easier for myself to send emails to large groups of people. I've realized this saves me a lot of time.

  ### 8. iContact

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

It is a good beginner email marketing tool.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It is a little clunky to use at times. Does not give you very accurate metrics on emails.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped us launch email campaigns.

  ### 9. Not as effective as many other programs

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Well, it gets the job done. It's a program that sends out emails efficiently and automatically. Metrics are acceptable. Seemed to be less expensive than other options.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Nothing really stands out about iContact. Too attached to Salesforce as an add-on. The metrics and reporting isn't as robust as I would like.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Compare and test versus other products.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to add to our contact list by importing names quickly.

  ### 10. Not fit for Non-profit

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The best thing I liked about iContact is that I could send emails to lists, which is the basic function of the systems.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Not compatible with Wild Apricot. I could not navigate between campaigns and clicks easily.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

If iContact is compatible with your website, then it may be a good fit. I switched to another product that was easier to use for my protege with limited experience in email marketing.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didn't find the systems solved any issues, so I switched to another system.

  ### 11. Customer Service is Excellent but the Product Struggles with Usability Issues

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April C. | Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Their customer support. Whenever I've had issues (unfortunately often) their chat feature works wonderfully. I always get people who are eager and willing to help. Honestly, it is what has kept me with them for so long at this point.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

They have two ways of creating a message - through MessageBuilder or using HTML code. I'm not a coder, but we've had lots of instances where the Message Builder had a bug show up and then it had to be fixed in HTML (by their customer support - which does great). However, once they do that, you have to work from HTML and that is very limiting. We've also had issues with sending emails out using their program and receiving them in our Outlook. Can't figure out if it's a problem on their end or with our firewall, but it still means I have to create a work-around for actual delivery of the messages and then I can't track opens.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Confirm whether you will be able to send out if your company uses Outlook. Outlook tends to screw around with the formatting and then your end product doesn't match your copy within the program.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to send out a quarterly newsletter. Their format has been working for us for 1-2 years, but I don't know if they are keeping up with fresh looks when it comes to templates

  ### 12. Email Marketing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about iContact?**

There were a lot of templates but you needed to pay.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

There are similar products out there for free.
Also the artwork was rejected by Google emails so a lot my designs didn't carry over to the email.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emailing marketing, reaching out to patients via newsletters

  ### 13. Switch back to the old interface

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

It is relatively user friendly. The layout is fairly simple and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

You are not longer able to track who opens what. I can no longer reach out to hot prospects according to who opened what email multiple times or who click on our links. This is VERY pivotal to my role and what I do to convert leads to clients.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to stay in contact with people over an amount of time with minimal work with the autoresponders. We've had several people contact us on their terms with this style of drip marketing.

  ### 14. Constant Contact Review

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy V. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Creating Marketing campaigns is fairly simple using iContact. Data imports was also very easy to do.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I was not impressed with the subscription cost and the limited number of email recipients associated. I feel like they overprice campaign management which is essentially just a simple module within many CRM solutions. I did not feel that the cost was justified and discontinued use.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Great product with many valuable features, definitely a contender in the SaaS space.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing Campaign management, planning, execution and monitoring.

**Official Response from Customer Support:**

> Hi Stacy!

We're glad to hear that you find creating marketing campaigns to be simple using iContact. We designed our product to be quick for our new users to pick up, but with the flexibility of design that our more seasoned users want.

We also appreciate your feedback about cost. We are working on making some pricing changes, and are happy to take your feedback into account during this process.

  ### 15. Simple Email Deployment Software and Not Much Else

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven A. L. | Marketing Communications Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Setting up emails using the editor was very easy. There are almost never any formatting errors and emails always deploy without a problem.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

The Salesforce integration isn't the best - You have to go through several steps to deploy an email with a Salesforce list. This leaves you with difficulty in training and prone to errors.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

iContact is an excellent software for the price, however there are many other competitors that are also in that price range like constant contact and surveymonkey, so look around! If you do end up going with iContact, start writing step by step guides on how to build and deploy your own emails as the steps needed to deploy an email when integrated with CRM can be convoluted and very difficult to train others on! Lastly if you are looking for a more than a simple email deployment software, their automation level product isn't as well known, make sure you look at other vendors like Act-On that are competitive on price compared to othe MA's out there.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used iContact for selveral years, as recently as earlier this year. The email deployment software is very good an getting your text and images to look good. In a smaller business, you are always just looking for the cleanest and most efficient way to send your message.

  ### 16. Basic Marketing Automation combined with Advanced PR Package

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luboslava N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2014

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Vocus (PRWeb) is good at Press Release distribution services on the web. It was our first technology for emailing campaigns

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Email Marketing with iContact does not meet our expectations. The basic Marketing Plans allows only 1 user and offers only basic segmentation, tracking and analytic tools, does not integrate with our CRM and consulting is limited to kick-off only. Compared to alternatives for Marketing Automation, iContact is focused on email marketing, with limited functionality fer everything else. Did not integrate with our CRM system, so it was time consuming to transfer data between both systems.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

For those who just need a basic mass emailing capabilities, might be satisfactory. We did replace it by Act-on

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We subscribed to a Basic Package at $3600/year or $300/month for emailing, 2 press releases per month and social media tools. Press Release distribution works well, but I wish it had better integrated marketing automation platform at lower cost. We did use it for about a year until we got an approval budget to use Act-on marketing automation technology. We stilluse Vocus for our PR distribution.

  ### 17. Not quite there yet,

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casey R. | Community Teacher, Writing and Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The thing that I like most about iContact is the ability to schedule posts in the future, and ease of creating mailing lists.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

iContact doesn't use any kind of optimization tools to tell you when the ideal time to post would be, and their layouts are really basic and uninteresting.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

This program is fine if all you're trying to do is send out mailings to a dedicated mailing list, but if you're looking to generate interesting content, or help with knowing when to post, there are programs that are much easier to use.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use iContact to let the people on our mailing list know when we are doing fundraisers, and when new issues of our journal are published.

  ### 18. good

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

very good and efficient, nice to use. much needed

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

not user friendly and has some obstacles

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

anything from media to sales to marketing

  ### 19. Challenges with iC

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I like the ease of the reporting dashboard with the app.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I don't like that the reporting dashboard isn't customizable. I'd like to be able to see the data that is most relevant to me and be able to download reports that are also customizable.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the data from iContact to increase traffic from and engagement with all of our newsletter properties. I'd like to take a deeper dive with the data, however. Some heatmapping would be a great feature to add.

  ### 20. Well-intentioned but not ready for prime time

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill K. | President, Apparel & Fashion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Our support contact is available, competent and eager to find ways for us to improve our understanding and performance.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

The technology. We have never used an ESP that can't track conversions (which is what we've been told on numerous occasions). It's unthinkable. We also have deliverability issues we never had with prior ESPs. FInally, at peak season we've seen the platform falter and even fail for an extended period of time.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Look around.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing different than with any other ESP.

  ### 21. I’ve used icontact for about two years

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I like that you can easily persobnilze templates to match client tastes

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I dont like that the landing pages aren’t as user friendly as the email template. It’s hard to personalize landing pages to get the “professional graphics” look.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently using I contact for email blast. We use it within our company and with clients. It helps communicate wants, needs, info and services.

  ### 22. Work related usage

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I really liked how user friendly this was

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It would take a while to update and save

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Doesn’t support a large list of people

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Landing pages / email blasts

  ### 23. iContact Review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The ease of finding distribution lists that have been used and the clear analytics the program provides once the email is sent out.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

The limited design structure of the emails. The email templates do not allow for much creativity when it comes to placement of text and images.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Great for analytics, but not so much for creativity.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides an easy way of determining old/stale email addresses. As well as provides clear data on the performance of emails.

  ### 24. Mixed up and confused

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The wysiwyg interface used to be decent, not accurate but predictable.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Performance is spotty, reliability of design is poor, previews are inaccurate.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Check around, try it out in demo or in limited use first

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing is a critical business need. Reliable, effective tools are important, they often make the difference between getting things done and getting them done well!

  ### 25. Good for getting email out, annoying to use

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah M. | Benefits Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I liked the feature of being able to check how many opened emails I had

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It was very tempermenal and it was hard to use the features sometimes

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

You would definitely want to train staff on using it. For the cost, it is definitely not worth what it does.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to email a large group of people at one time

  ### 26. Great way to keep in contact with coworkers

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | CFO, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Easy to navigate and communicate with coworkers and set up team meetings

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

I believe that the services were too pricey in comparison to others

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes it easy to merge contacts with phone

  ### 27. A bit clunky but a good tool

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

It's a good email service provider. Pretty basic in it's functions but has good reporting for opens and actions taken on the emails.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It's not an intuitive interface and I find the flow awkward. I like MailChimp much better for example. Some of the link names are counter-intuitive and I wish there was more data mining available.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

I would recommend doing trials of other software and build a test email. Upload a dummy list and see how that does to see if you like the way the system works. Everyone is different and will find certain things easier to use than others.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using iContact to email customers about specials and upcoming events. The benefits have been the same as using other email providers, we have about the same open rate and click-throughs. Overall, email marketing is a benefit to our business for sure.

  ### 28. IContact

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I love that you can stay on ONE phone call through your phone as you go through a list of separate calls. You don't have to reconnect to your phone over and over.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

There are many glitches. IF you try to reconnect to your phone too quickly, it connects poorly and delays.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT helps eliminate time between calls.

  ### 29. Decent program

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casey L. | Individual Consultant, Consumer Goods, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

I like that I can do marketing quickly online

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It wasn’t easy to navigate and took a while to get the hang of it

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Be patient

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to make more contacts and keep in contact with customers

  ### 30. Use only if you have a clean database

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Easy set up, easy to use and figure out along the way. Smooth process to send out an email blast.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Many of our email addresses are bad. Even though they may have once been clients, we don't scrub our database as it's very time-consuming. If you have too many bad emails it will kick you out after only one use.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching tons of clients via email.

  ### 31. Straightforward, easy to use.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tammy C. | Marketing Associate, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The easy template makes it straightforward

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

How dated the platform is, and design is not the most creative.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pushing product to our clients. Benefits are the reports and reach each blast has.

  ### 32. Not for us

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

iContactPro is a great tool for smaller businesses with simple marketing campaigns. I like that on one platform you can create and send emails, create landing pages, and use marketing automation. Customer service is also very responsive.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

As a web designer I find iContactPro to be very limiting. There are many small things that seem to have been overlooked by developers, for instance, I cannot duplicate a landing page without using the same naming convention as the one I duplicated from. When creating landing pages, it's difficult to get elements to align perfectly, and objects overlap each other with disregard to the order in which they created, or my "send backward" commands. Also my browser often freezes on landing page creation pages. iContact landing pages do not work well with Google Analytics, and there is no way through iContact to track where my visitors are coming from. I cannot search my sent emails alphabetically or by sender. Also, sometimes emails I have created disappear for no reason.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

I would only recommend this if you are a smaller company with little experience with marketing and design.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My colleagues and I are able to create simple email marketing campaigns, and iContactPro has been a good tool to introduce us to marketing automation.

**Official Response from Jeanie Parker:**

> We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t had a very satisfactory experience with iContact Pro. This is all great feedback that we will take into consideration for future developments in the product. We are currently working on some major updates to our application based on the most common points of customer feedback and we will continue to do so in the future.

  ### 33. Needs more capabilities

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alekzandra H. | Community Services Manager, Events Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

How you can cut and paste multiple emails to your email lists

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

-program is not user friendly
-You go to type something in a box and it automatically takes you back to the top of the page
-I don't like how when you edit something, it is in a different format in an email
-Needs more options for editing

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Only benefit is emailing our residents

**Official Response from Jeanie Parker:**

> We’re sorry to hear that you weren’t satisfied with the program and our email editor, but we appreciate your feedback. We are excited to say that we’re introducing some major updates to our application that will address a lot of your pain points. Please check out our blog for more information: https://www.icontact.com/blog/new-experiences-coming-to-icontact.

  ### 34. API documentation is misleading

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The documentation is very well written and clean design

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

The documentation on creating an API is not as helpful

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working on integrating a signup form with icontact for Polynesia.com. Because icontact does not provide much pre validation logic to their forms I have created the form to validate according to Polynesia.com specs and from there opt to use icontact api service to submit data

  ### 35. Adequate but lacking style

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

The products ease of use is good for beginners and anyone looking to keep it simple.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Customization is lacking and the more you use the product and get used to it, the more you wish it could do additional things.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

If you don't have an email program currently, this is better than nothing. This is definitely a first step software that most companies will grow out of once they get more involved in email campaigns.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using this email program is better than trying to keep in touch with a large group of customers manually. It has been adequate, but leaves something to be desired.

  ### 36. Affordable, but missing key tools

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Low price, non-profit discount, decent templates, and access to full archive of sent messages, draft, and data

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

No mobile interface, low-quality HTML editing experience, and miserable pre-send experience of flagging existence of errors without directing user to specific error or assisting in any resolution.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low-cost broad outreach to membership

**Official Response from Jeanie Parker:**

> We’re sorry to hear that you weren’t satisfied with our HTML editor and send experience, but we appreciate your feedback. We are excited to say that we’re introducing some major updates to our application that will address a lot of your pain points. Please check out our blog for more information: https://www.icontact.com/blog/new-experiences-coming-to-icontact.

  ### 37. Great until it wasn't

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2017

**What do you like best about iContact?**

It made it easier to keep track or and send out our emails.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Eventually, it stopped delivering some of the emails and cost of thousands.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Consider how many emails you are trying to get out.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've stopped using this software and are doing much better. We are relying more on content marketing and ads now.

  ### 38. It's easy to use for a complex set of uses but I still need help from Vocus support

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian K. | Certified Financial Planner™, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2014

**What do you like best about iContact?**

That there are not a whole of extra vendors I need to pay to customize it like I do with Salesforce

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

It wasn't very clear when we signed up that the services to actually consult on our marketing costs thousands of dollars more. I understand it's a great piece of software but we were under the impression that $13,500 included a fair amount of direct communication with people who could create workflows and campaigns with us. Not for us but if you make it so easy why can't they create the emails and landing pages for us quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Have somebody at least part time practically entirely devoted to running it, and be cautious if you have any sort of compliance restrictions on type or volume of content you are putting out there by yourself or others.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I provide financial planning for middle America. And I am responsible for marketing on behalf of other financial planners that I have to keep busy. Vocus allows me to collect names of people who are at least mildly interested in talking to us, and to document credibility when that prospect inevitable googles us.

  ### 39. Great Staff but has process limitations :-(

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2014

**What do you like best about iContact?**

Staff are always responsive to issues and follow through with resolving concerns.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

Limitations on the service decreased my overall rating and would like to see more administrative improvements when it comes to billing.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

email

  ### 40. iContact

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shari R. | Marketing Professional, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2014

**What do you like best about iContact?**

We used iContact for preparing and distributing client newsletters and a few other email campaigns. iContact is an inexpensive email marketing service.

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

We experienced slow website loading, long wait times for support assistance with inexperienced staff.

**Recommendations to others considering iContact:**

Slow website loading and their support is inexperienced with long wait times. I don't recommend.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't find iContact to be robust enough for handling our various lead nurturing campaigns - no longer using iContact.

  ### 41. they are ok, but tend to be pricey

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2013

**What do you like best about iContact?**

they have good way to get your email into Inbox

**What do you dislike about iContact?**

pricey as you get more # of emails. Plus their template system does not work well.

**What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

sell remote access to video surveillance equipment
