**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamalprit kaur S. | webMethods lead consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2019

**What do you like best about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

The consultation and services from SAG is incomaparable. I have never seen any product company providing so much content online for the common issues ,the vendors encounters. Also, the consultants from SAG are very prompt , whenever a ticket is raised to provide solutions quickly.

**What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

Certifications-I recently enquired about taking up the certification from Sydney location .As I am working in webMethods for more than 8+ years , I thought to get myself certified. However, I was being informed that I can give certification only from Bangalore,India or otherwise I would have to wait for atleast 5-10 peope who are interested in giving the certification exam from the location.

I strongly feel that SAG should remove such restrictions and should ease the certification like their competitors(Dell Boomi, Mulesoft etc). Being in the market from so long, they should provide online courses and should even allow people taking up certifications remotely. Also, they should keep the certifications prices very reasonable( I enquired certification, which was 30000 INR .It is very costly for everyone. Not all the companies will reimburse certification charges) .I believe for anyone, learning would be the first step to think if they really want to use webMethods for their integration solutions . If we restrict it ,then we might end up loosing customers,as Mulesoft and Dell Boomi have kept their learning as an open source and much more convinient than SAG.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration:**

Keep a watch on the new releases and announcements from SAG.

**What problems is IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using SAG webMethods from more than 8+ years and I believe it has helped us strongly for B2B solutions and A2A solutions. Also , the EAI implementations are quite easy and simpler to build using SAG webMethods components.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan S. | Desarrollador Java Jr/BPM Jr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2019

**What do you like best about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

The Desginer offers many facilities for multilayer development, its lapse of learning and understanding is shorter compared to other 2 BPM tools that I have used previously. In just minutes you can create and deploy a BPMN in the IS without so many complications and the best of all is the broad and easy integration of services through adapters that adapt to almost any back-end. As for the utilitarian libraries, the software includes a very complete public library that facilitates and complements the developments, besides allowing the facility to develop and expose services in java to preference. In my experience I have worked in 2 different banking entities with this tool with successful results. They only have to improve the support and without a doubt the Software AG Designer would become one of the top tools of the BPM market.

**What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

The direct support with the company is not so good and the community is very scarce.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration:**

Considering the market and its costs on top BPM technologies, I would recommend using the AG Designer Software since it has it all.

**What problems is IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BPM integration solutions in a recognized bank for a credit system.

**What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

Sometimes if you work with Big Data from the Database and Hashtables/Lists you will face the maximum exceeded JVM Memory. The IS is slowing down. What i not so really like is the Design Quality of the CAF Framework for Web Graphical User Interfaces.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration:**

Please better the possibility für Upgrading and Installation and please Fix Universal Messaging...

**What problems is IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

webMethods is a very powerful integration tool wich provides high flexibility when the interface design is complex and highly customised. The good variety of adapters has made integrations to other packaged application very easy. The great availaibity of product/support documentations make self-learning easy and effective.

**What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

The application patching/fixes experience is painful. SAG has changed the approach which now release product patches/fixes more often. Due to the short release cycle, some patches/fixes are not thoroughly tested. We had experienced twice that IS core fix has broken a core function in webMethods which gives system administrators very high pressure on regression testing and huge risks for implementtion.

**What problems is IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the implementation of webMethods in the company, we have modernised the interface design from old, inefficient file based transfer to robust eletronic data intechange. webMethods has empowered business with much better capacility. It provides much better flexibility to handle B2B requests from our customers and suppliers. It also largely reduced the development effort and complexity for our EPR and various different internal systems. It has definitely support the business digital footprint and transformation.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

I like breath of tools and applications for enterprise integrations, gateways, portal, data management, BPM, performance management and governance that SAG offers. Most products are integrated with each other OTB. BPM is event driven and supported by Universal Messaging, also integrated with Business process designer tool. Lots of pre-built functions to include in your own development. Integrated IDE for integrations, UI, BPM that also talks to central repository. Promising offerings on the cloud.

**What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration?**

Suite is huge and require lots of learning particular for folks not familiar with BPM/ESB or event driven design approaches. Lots of documentation but not much of examples. Some help exists on developers blog and web site but not enough for such huge amount of information. Training is highly recommended.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration:**

Don't underestimate value of training and learning curve. Investigate and buy products you want to integrate from the same vendor (SAG in this case).

**What problems is IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use WebMethods/SAG product suite for BPM, Integrations (IS), monitoring, UI and Governance
Business uses process modeling (ARIS). Integrating of all products require only configurations.
Webmethods Flow language when done right produces more compact code faster then traditional languages for specific applications such as integrations and mapping.
