I am a fan of the extensive APIs that Watson STT provides for transcription. We have also used them heavily for training the language models.

The APIs allow us to connect Watson to our Video cloud services - and make the process seamless. We have created an end to end Closed captioning platform based off Watson STT , the APIs and integrations with our video cloud.

One of the characteristics that differentiate Watson Studio is the open platform, intuitive interface, and flexibility. I had a team of college data scientist interns and they were using Watson Studio on the first day! The support and access to the IBM brain trust was nothing short than outstanding! Perhaps due to the timing, there is an incredible amount of dynamics and evolution around some of the modules. The net effect is something that the team built or planned on the roadmap had to be adjusted more often than we would have liked. Not a very big issue to adjust though.
