"Improve your company's internal communications through Sametime"

What do you like best?

It is a fairly broad idea that encloses IBM Sametime, which you can use even from your cell phone, tablet, PC, Laptop, you can merge with other IBM applications, MIcrosoft, among others, where you can create backup, score highlights within meetings, share files and have backups within chats, share geographical location and many more tools can offer.

What do you dislike?

This software doesn't have information about the prices that each plan has, but to do the refencia allamar and to place in contact with the specialists of the offering of the software, and the information is very limited on the plans that it offers, additional to that I don't have anything negative to contribute

It Has an assistant of artificial Intelligence, to have your backups, to record your video conferences, to make multichats and to share slides quickly and without so much complications through IBM Sametime, which you can operate from your mobile, tablets , Laptop and PC

Today with the so hurried times that we live, the artificial intelligence has taken an important weight in the day to day in our performance in the work, and sametime is a great help, to bring you fusion with other companies like Microsoft, iOS, and mergers with other IBM applications that give you the highest possible performance and improves your business communication in a 100%

"Improve communication within your company through IBM Sametime"

What do you like best?

This messaging has a good support of the best brand at the level of cloud computers servers, etc. IBM which allows you to make chats, conferences in high quality video, you can make calls and integrate them to the conferences, you have great ability to igresar users is compatible with any business software network, a messaging basically designed to cover all fields of communication within a company.

What do you dislike?

What I see of this application is that you have to have a server within the company, I assume that is with the purpose of backing up all the information, either called chats or multimedia files, however I think a limitation for a small company that does not have a server, additionally does not have free trial, you must download the program to use it

IBM sametime, is a fusion of several software that offer you quality to make video calls, conference calls in a good quality is to take into account when growing in the internal communications of any company.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With this messaging you can resolve in real time any conference data or dictate lines of work to follow, you can make video conferences calls in large groups of users, where you maintain the quality of video and sound to all users present, auqneu I could not perform the test for free, because I do not handle the part of servers but a great tool for our company

"Sametime the source of my online collaboratione experience"

What do you like best?

Many arguments can be used to descirbe sametime but the presence awareness in over the top.

Now we are waiting the return of Sametime as a Domino process.... to be reakky haooy with thin famous product.

What do you dislike?

Some operation are a bit complex but not a real problem.The complete deoloyment of all features may require many resources, and a very bg nymber of servers.

Sametime is very goood to reduce mail traffic.

"No more lost messages between coworkers, or files"

What do you like best?

It's integration with IBM Cloud, its group management, its capacity to share files and most of all its range of personalization. Some widgets are also nice and of course the use of gifs in some conversations during a tense day of job is always something to thank.

What do you dislike?

I would like a more eficient environment with IBM Notes, if you use the mail, the connections and the sametime it can take a couple of minutes to load and in old hardware it is too slow sometimes, even in newer hardware it takes his time to load. When sharing files it has size limit that is a problem sometimes, but zipping also works to avoid those problems.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you use the whole IBM package for your job issues this is a no brainer program, it works with all of the others and when you use it it's hard to not use it again, simple and very convenient.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We can plan business jobs, we can communicate each other and share instant files and messages, any doubt can be instantly solved with just a few words without reaching out the coworker, but sharing your files and sometimes groups to share ideas and have an instant input of all it's priceless compared with mail or other message options.

"IBM sametime review"

What do you like best?

It was very simple to use and a great way to communicate with other teammembers and employees across the building.

What do you dislike?

There was not much to complain about this application. However, it did look pretty outdated compared to skype messaging that I use now.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you need a basic way to communicate to other employees, this is a great tool. I was able to receive and send message in a timely manner. It is a pretty basic application but it serves its purpose if you are only looking to instant message with no other bells or whistles.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Being able to communicate quickly with managers to get approval for customer. Also being able to get answers quickly without having to wait for an associate to answer a call or an email.

"Love the idea"

What do you like best?

I like that I can communicate with my co workers without leaving my desk. This helps solve problems quickly and with minimal effort (getting up and finding said employee) especially in a big building with lots of employees.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that I have to add a new employee as a contact rather than just having them automatically added when they are put in to the pool of offices.

Sametime is a great way to communicate and collaborate with teammates. I would recommend companies use this more often.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have realized that with sametime I can work on one issue with a coworker, while also multitasking to get another task done. I can wait on an answer to a question that I might not know, without hovering over my team mates desk. This product has multiple benefits. I feel that it also helps keep talking to a minimum because if you have something to say, you can just sametime them.

"Great intercompany comunication tool"

What do you like best?

I like the ability to see when other employees are available, busy, in a meeting or away. Great way to stay in touch with employees when working remotely.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that there is no ability to see if the other employee has read or received your message. Other tools in which out company uses allows the sender to know when the message has been read.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Sametime has not made any updates in the couple of years I have been using. Our company has seen this trend and is transitioning to using Google tools instead.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This is a great tool to increase the ease of remote work. Allows employees to work from different locations and communicate with ease without making several phone calls.

"Makes working with global teams easier, with fast communication features."

What do you like best?

As the product is very user friendly we are having no trouble using it around the world, since we use in Latin, America, EMEA, including some of Oceania region. All teams in my Company are using to communicate efficiently.

What do you dislike?

The feature of creating "emoticons", sometimes can jeopardize the team's efficiency. A few times I received or saw team using emoticons to make jokes or have fun.

Recommendations to others considering the product

My advice is to block or even to change the emoticon creations, which can make team lose their focus in the real purpose of this feature.

The use of IBM Sametime helps teams to communicate in fast way, specially when you have team located in different cities and even countries.

"Sametime may be some other time"

What do you like best?

IBM Sametime is incredibly simple to use. It is straightforward and offers an easy to use chat experience.

Being able to set up team chats is a great feature. This allows us to keep a chat room focused on a singular topic if required.

Sametime is available for our team members on PC as well as on Macs. There is also a mobile app to keep people in touch when they are away from the office.

What do you dislike?

The mobile app is not that great for anything outside of straight up messaging.

We tried video chatting within Sametime without any real success. There were connection issues and the app would crash quite often. We switched to another product and had no problems.

IBM Sametime just looks outdated. The menus and contact list are not up to date from a UX perspective compared to many other popular chat apps.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are looking to chat with other team members that also use IBM Sametime, share files and create team chat rooms then Sametime will work great for you. If you are looking to integrate tools from other products or use the video chat feature, then there are other chat apps that are much better suited for this.

"The best chatting system ever!"

What do you like best?

Sometime is software we use at work to communicate between all of us from the very top to the last person on the company ladder. Everyone sees your message and try to help you instantly. It is lovely!

What do you dislike?

Nothing. I think it work perfectly and kudos to IBM for developing such a message technology.

It's the best instance communication technology around. You should get it.

Customers inquiries that requires immediate answer or solutions. Instead of waiting for someone to come to your station to help you, you receive help instantly on your system without moving an inch.

"A versatile moddable instant messaging client with excellent collaboration features"

What do you like best?

IBM sametime can be used as a stand-alone desktop client, web browser client, embedded client within Lotus Notes so it's very versatile.

Many many plug-ins and mods have been produced for sametime which really add to the extensibility given is how it has been built on the Eclipse Java platform. For example you can easily add time zone support, fancy emoticon packs, integration with other tools, fancy alerting features, automation features, the list goes on and it's very impressive.

Additionally the sametime protocol can be used out with IBM's clients. So for example one can configure and log on to the same time community using generic messaging client like Pidgin.

Different community icons are automatically shown for contacts from different communities and favourite contacts can be added into a separate queue for ease of access.

One can share screen with colleagues and schedule web conference meetings also using platform.

File sharing is also implemented very well and works extremely quickly. In fact this is my preferred method of transferring large files quickly and easily peer-to-peer.

Lastly like Skype one can use same time to voice chat over VoIP as well as the usual messaging.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the mods or plug-ins can cause same time to run very slowly and IBM have made it difficult to use the same time protocol with third-party generic clients like Pidgin.

Also using the sametime embedded notes version dramatically increases memory usage on any machine and therefore is not recommended for low-end machines.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do not add too many contacts to same time because it can slow down the usage of the client especially when there are issues with synchronisation with the server. In any case, any user can be searched for on the server live every time you want open a chat.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Mainly sametime can be used very well for the following activities Instant messaging, collaboration, screen sharing, web conferencing, voice VoIP calling, screenshot grabbing.

Any activity that happens on a local machine is automatically backed up to the community server so there is no loss of contacts should a machine fail as once you log back in with a fresh reinstall it downloads all your contacts again.

The modelling and plug-in library for sametime is very impressive and one can really configure this messaging client to one's exact specification which is very rare with other messaging clients.

"IBM sametime"

What do you like best?

IBM sametime is a very reliable communication software used primarily within the organization.

Employees can quickly share information related to their work. They can do formal as well as informal chat with the colleagues.

A very good feature is that you can exchange data files and setup voice and video meetings with the latest upgrade.

It saves your conversations upto 365 days. One of the best communicaton software in terms of privacy & security of all the data.

What do you dislike?

The voice and video meeting setup feature needs to be improved. Sometimes during multi-person meeting the voice and video quality deteriorates.

During continuous use the software seldom crashes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Effectively communicate between project team. Geographical limitations are solved interms of information sharing.

Helps managers in quick decision making as soon as feedback is sent through IBM sametime.

What do you like best?

Love IBM Sametime in our company, it has become a staple in communicating throughout our company instead of email. Instant access, presence awareness, file sharing, screen sharing. it has it all.

What do you dislike?

we have found that upgrading the desktop version of this product does not like "upgrading" from one version to the next.

I think with the robust combination of Sametime Instant messaging and the Sametime Meeting and Conferencing services it would be a perfect fit in any environment. Especially for users who are paying outside companies like Webex or GoTo Meeting for their services.

the business problems that we are solving is the ability to get a response from someone quickly, and the ability to share files quickly with a remote user.

"Basic no-frills messaging system"

What do you like best?

It's integrated with IBM Notes (displayed in the same window) so it makes it easy for me to see if someone is online and I can send them a sametime message, or if I should email them instead.

What do you dislike?

For younger generations that are used to detailed graphics, clean lines, and a more "modern" look, they will cringe when they open this app. It looks like a Windows 95 program that never got updated. There is limited functionality with this app, and certain functions that should be intuitive are actually much harder to perform. At least it supports gifs!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Since our organization has to use IBM Notes, it makes sense to have a messaging system integrated with our email. We often communicate with colleagues in different offices (across North America as well as internationally) and this is great for those times you just really don't want to pick up the phone (or you're stuck on the phone and need to let someone else know).

What do you like best?

IBM Sametimes makes it easy to collaborate with other employees. I'm able to share ideas, documents, and catch up with colleagues with whom I do not see on a daily basis.

What do you dislike?

IBM Sametime loses connectivity quite frequently. I have also experience Sametime not saving important conversations.

"just a way to communicate like slack or skype"

What do you like best?

Best one is you can share screenshot with no tension of whether it will load on other end or not. This is something which makes same time better or different then other right now i am using Skype and have to upload simple screenshot as well and it transfers that does not go well always.

What do you dislike?

it freezes in between the chat several times, take much time to get message delivered, attachments uploading takes forever. Have different challenges while system hang ..need complete reboot and you will loose another 15 - 20 minutes.

please be ready for slow service, its not something you will enjoy ..... takes time to get attachment loading and then transferring from one source to another. sometimes its really frustrating when you keep waiting for long time and it hangs the whole application and you have to reboot the system all the way.

The only thing i like about this is yes IT CAN BE USED TO SEND THE MESSAGES ACROSS.

What do you dislike?

I dislike everything about this say from

its design

its interface

its incapability to handle most of the stuff that Skype can do very easily.

Its slow.

Its not worth of calling itself a messenger.

What do you like best?

IBM Sametime has been very helpful in communicating with colleagues across our organization. I'm constantly utilizing for questions that I need a quick response on.

What do you dislike?

The password can get a little wonky sometimes whenever you're updating your IBM Lotus Notes Password. I wish it was more instantaneous with password updates. Also, to update your Sametime Header can be a little challenging if you do not have the exact instruction. Making this process more seamless would be helpful.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I'd be aware that when you change passwords, Sametime can be a little wonky until it full syncs with your IBM Lotus Notes Password. Furthermore, it can be a bit challenging to update your Sametime Header without instructions.

Quick Questions regarding business, vendors, challenges, updates, etc. It is the fastest form of communication when have especially when people are busy.

"The most scalable and distributed platform for multi-point audio-video conferences"

What do you like best?

As a result of a recent strong parternership between IBM and Polycom (the biggest actor in audio-video virtual presence and communication sector), the internal architecture of Sametime recently evolved with the release of Sametime 9, to introduce Video Multipoint Control Units (VMCUs) and Management capabilities (Video Manages).

This is a huge step forward for Sametime in terms of scalability, stability and performance when it comes to handle audio-video conferences (with optional chat, file sharing, persisted rooms etc...) having hundreds of participants across all continents, using different device classes (phones, smartphones, tables, computers, war rooms, etc...) with different audio and video formats and sizes, and different bandwidth availabilities.

What do you dislike?

The new Sametime Multipoint Control Units are Linux-based only. This requirement may force a Windows System Administrator to modify his internal deployment, monitoring and management process to be able to deal with the new servers topology. The other servers types of Sametime 9 are all Linux/Windows compatible, so this problem really comes with version 9.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If the ability to scale-up to hundreds or thousands of audio-video participants spread all over the world to a single conference, sharing real-time and non real-time contents is your major goal, and you want to achieve low bandwidth consumption, multimedia flows optimization and a rich user experience both in web and desktop clients, consider deploying IBM Sametime 9.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have developed a complete monitoring solution for Sametime 9, with the introduction of specific monitoring components to check the new audio-video capabilities, to respond to an important demand coming from some of our major clients, who have already deployed Sametime 9 in their collaboration and communication servers infrastructure, and who were eager to assess the performance of new capabilities of their Sametime 9 deployment.

What do you like best?

Being able to quickly connect with someone like a phone call, but even when they may be tied up on a conference call.

What do you dislike?

There's nothing I currently do not like about it.

I've used Skype for Business as well. I think any quick-communication tool is a benefit to company-wide communication.

Faster response time on time-sensitive issues than going through the email train. Ability to save conversations to have a paper trail, which is the general benefit of email.

"Sametime Review"

What do you like best?

I like that a number of plug-ins have been produced for sametime and this really helps make the application more user friendly.

It's easy to use when changing timezones and I like the very modern emotions. I also like the screen share feature. This is one of the most userfriendly screen share settings I have use

What do you dislike?

Sametime still comes across as slightly old fashioned and I think this is mainly as a result of it being produced by IBM- it has that uncool factor.

In addition, Sametime is used primarily for business purposes and this is a deterrent from using it outside of the office (unlike Google applications).

Recommendations to others considering the product

Worth taking a look. In addition, its reliabe so it wont have gone bankrupt in a couple of years so many employees with have used it in previous employments.

Any activity that occurs on my computer, is automatically backed up to the community server so there is no loss of information should a machine fail as once you log back in

Sametime is practical and user-friendly and in a way it is better that it is used less for personal purposes as it keeps people focused on work.

"Sametime Old-time"

What do you like best?

I like the ability to easy take and send screenshots, turn off the pop up notification, and the ease of use.

What do you dislike?

Lotus notes email is very slow and clunky so to open that up to access Sametime is a burden.

We are using google chat and hangouts more than Sametime because it is easier to use.

"Sometime is a useful online chat tool in the workplace."

What do you like best?

My favorite thing about Sometime is the ability to copy and paste screenshots and pictures directly into the chat without having to save the photos to my desktop. Not all chats can do this.

What do you dislike?

I think the overall layout and physical appearance looks too plain and needs to be updated.

Sametime is a useful communication tool and is definitely a program to consider using when choosing among collaboration hubs.

"I use Sametime on a daily basis as an office communicator and it has been an effective tool. "

What do you like best?

It's easy to use for the most part and has all of the functionality you could really need for a communicator such as sending files and capturing screen shots right in the tool, as well as group chatting for collaboration. I also like the feature where I can set my self into do not disturb, but still make myself available for certain people such as my manager or teammates.

What do you dislike?

As Sametime is used via Lotus Notes, there are numerous occasions in which Sametime does not load when I log onto my email (it is supposed to automatically) or it freezes which can be a pain.

Main benefit is being able to connect and speak to people instantly, all across the globe. We are a global organization and having that ease of communication to be able to ask a question and get an answer quickly, has really be effective.

"Great IM Tool"

What do you like best?

The ease of use is the best feature. The ability to change status when necessary to let others know my availability is good. The group chat function is also quite useful. Sharing screenshots is also an integral part of the IM tool.

What do you dislike?

At present I do not have any dislikes to share.

It is a good idea to set contacts up in groups so that they are easy to find especially for group meetings.

Sametime is wonderful for getting problems solved with internal partners at various locations. There is not always an opportunity to make a phone call or wait for an email response when information is needed immediately and Sametime is the best tool for quick communication.

What do you like best?

Easy to use, great tabbing functions, lots of options inside of chat. Easy to log past chats.

What do you dislike?

Reliant upon having IBM Lotus Notes program running, which means you are cut off in the likely instance Lotus Notes is bugged down.

Sametime is great, but if video conferencing is to be heavily utilized, Skype is superior.

"I use Sametime on my work laptop to comnunicate with coworkers."

What do you like best?

It's easy to use, auto-populates a contact when I find someone to add, and is immediate communication. Files can be shared, bio information can be saved, etc.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it's difficult to locate a specific new person to add; I can't always verify I've selected to correct individual if I have limited information about that person.

"Easy IM Client for Business"

What do you like best?

The thing I like best about Sametime is it's simplicity and ease of use. It works how you would expect it to, which is often too much to ask of a product believe it or not. The interface is intuitive and I appreciate how it has support for mobile devices.

What do you dislike?

My main dislike about the product is that it feels dated. With many IM clients out these days for work and social media, the interface feels old. An update to the overall look of the app will make it feel more relevant.

Consider Sametime as a legitimate instant messaging alternative for business. Think Skype, but more customized towards collaboration and integrated within the work environment.

This product solves the problem of instant communication between colleagues as well as offering a mobile app for colleagues in the field. I have realized the benefit of this app as I can separate my work and personal social life between two different, yet capable, apps without having to mix them both.

"Works well for the most part"

What do you like best?

Good and reliable notifications.

Chat/Group chat UI is simple without too much wasted space.

The ability to change the emoticons to my own.

What do you dislike?

No sync-ing options with Outlook.

UI looks a bit outdated.

Sometimes there are login/connection issues.

Screenshare has issues pretty often

Once a chat is becoming too large, SameTime will start to lag.

It's pretty straightforward to learn how to use. Nothing is too challenging about it, besides maybe the settings.

"A great standalone chat client."

What do you like best?

I used Sametime at my previous job for over 7 years.

Sametime in and of itself is a great IM tool. It is sad that it is stuck with Lotus Notes.

I really enjoy the screen capture tool as well as being able to add custom emoticons and gifs to your emoticon pallet.

Though font choices are limited, it still allows enough variety for most anyone's taste.

It also does file transfer very well.

There are also audio and video features.

And I almost forgot about sametime meeting rooms which are basically like meeting/screen-share sessions.

Definitely as a standalone chat client, it contains many good features.

What do you dislike?

That it is partnered with Lotus Notes...

It does have that older look and feel, so the UI could definitely use a face lift.

Definitely consider this as a standalone IM client apart from Lotus Notes Email.

Also, this is another consideration for meeting/screen-sharing sessions as well as video/audio chat.

"My Favorite IM System"

What do you like best?

My favorite part about Sametime is the screenshot capability. You are able to quickly capture all or a piece of your screen that you want to show the recipient, and immediately send it to him/her. I also liked that you are able to save screenshots/GIFs that either you sent or that someone sent you down to your Sametime clip board to be available to access later on.

What do you dislike?

I really do not have any negative opinions relating to Sametime. The only issue sometimes is the difficulty of signing into Sametime - but this may be more of an Internet connection issue with my computer itself than the application itself.

Recommendations to others considering the product

After using multiple similar services (i.e. Skype for Business, etc.) I think that the features of Sametime are much more user-friendly and appropriate for business needs.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The main business issue that I have been solving with Sametime is increasing efficiency of sending snips/screenshots of items on my computer and being able to to send them directly and quickly to the recipient. This save a significant amount of time instead of saving screenshots down or even using a snipping tool.

"I really liked working with Sametime!"

What do you like best?

Easy to use and several options. You could even add other companies emails that used Sametime. I also loved the voice option that we could make calls and use remote access in meetings to avoid using our own phones.

What do you dislike?

I did not like the version inside Lotus Notes due to the issues with Notes crashing and you'd also lose your chat. Although the group contact addition was a good feature, it wasn't always easy to do.

It was my everyday communication software at IBM and I wish more companies would use it.

What do you like best?

Ability to quickly message coworkers or trans documents to them. Group chats to keep multiple people informed during projects, Ability to chat quickly with overseas office using our own server.

What do you dislike?

occasional lag time with transferring documents. Issue with auto spell check not staying on after reboot.

Defiantly worth adding to you software. Great way for chat within your companies as it uses your Domino Notes Server so its secure no outside access makes communication with offsite offices easier and quicker.

What do you like best?

With Sametime you can immediately contact a coworker in your building. You can also see if they are available or not before you send a message. It's also a great way to tell if someone is likely at their desk.

I have been using Sametime for so long I can't think of anything I dislike.

"IBM Sametime - a messenger with a lot of scope for improvement "

What do you like best?

Its a simple to use instant messanger for office purpose, with all basic features like one to one chatting, group chat, media share etc. The best this about this messenger is its integrated with IMB lotus notes allowing continuous synchronization of contacts. Also its a robust and secure platform, which makes it ideal for office use.

What do you dislike?

This scores very low in performance. You would often face frequent crashes and slow message exchanges.

"Has to catch up with others"

What do you like best?

The simple interface of sametime makes it extremely user friendly. Its integration with external applications like office comes in handy at times.

What do you dislike?

It is lagging behind in the messaging market where competitors like slack and jabber are bringing in more new features very frequently. In a mobile first world still not having a mobile app is something IBM must think about.

"Great in a global company"

What do you like best?

This tool helps me stay connected real time with collegues around the globe. I am easily able to send quick questions and continue long conversations during convenient times for everyone. It is a great tool to save on phone calls that take up more time than a quick message.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing that I dislike about the tool. My only issue is as a company we are not on the most up to date platform of Sametime so we do not have access to the newer features.

Reducing the time needed to communicate with collegues- it is sometimes much faster to send a quick message than needing to pick up the phone.

I am new to Lotus Notes, but I really like Sametime! I like how quickly I can message a coworker.

I would love more emojis included. : ) Also, I wish that coworkers who aren't in the office could have access to Sametime.

What do you like best?

I like the ability for people to be in multiple locations and work seamlessly as if they are sitting next to each other; the ability to give & take control of documents makes this an easy platform to use.

sometimes the screen view is not the best. it can be a little quirky if scrolling through or resizing a document.

"Sametime vs Outlook"

What do you like best?

Sametime has really cool emotes that you can save from the internet. It's not as good as other IMing systems, but it gets the job done. I do like being able to send IMs as e-mails when my colleagues log off for the day.

What do you dislike?

The Sametime server isn't great. Many a time, it won't log me on, and I've had to restart my computer. I also wish that Sametime came with more emotes. I don't know how to create GIFs, but I like to share those with my colleagues.

"Decent software for SPSS analysis"

What do you like best?

To be fair, I've only had mild interactions with the program. However, I find that I myself need to educate myself in the field of statistical analysis more.

What do you dislike?

Nothing so far to really dislike other than being a ccomplete novice to SPSS. I wish there was a better tool that would help to introduce the beginner at becoming an expert.

What do you like best?

Corporate use of an IM platform that integrates with existing corporate software.

Newest versions require a lot more time and effort to stand up and maintain.

This product is good if you have dedicated IT staff or a consultant that can properly maintain it. The full scope of what Sametime can provide can be very expensive as the UC component requires certified hardware from IBM.

What do you like best?

Sametime is easy to use and allows you to be notified when a colleague is available. Furthermore it makes collaboration easier when co-workers are spread over a wide area.

Stacking options are somewhat limited. Additional options would be beneficial. Additional notification options of newly received messages would also be appreciated/
