"Help with the monthly closing"
4/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I like most is the agility it brings to the monthly closing. The automation of allocation rules, reassignments, and consolidation allows us to close the numbers more quickly and securely. Additionally, we can validate the information in real-time, which reduces rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

During the closing, any slowdown in the environment can impact the schedule, especially with many users accessing simultaneously. The performance could be more stable during peak times, such as in the last business days of the month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative Data Integration, Needs Goal-Based Analysis Features"
4/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

It aims to reduce processing time and incorporate variables that current business models do not take into account, while also improving how data is prepared and integrated into the models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

At the moment, I don’t program the tool myself; I focus on reviewing various model outputs and comparing them against our existing manual models. A potential improvement would be to enable goal-based analysis and present results at defined intervals, along with an assessment of their stationarity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Challenge to start using, then it's great"
3.5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

I like the ability to create custom and interactive dashboards in PAW, which greatly facilitates the communication of results with other areas of the company. The automation of processes also helps to reduce errors and gain efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

The initial learning curve is relatively steep, especially for users who are not familiar with the concept of cubes or with the logic of rules and feeders. This can hinder adoption by areas outside of controlling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Different angles of analysis and with agility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What pleases me the most is the ability to transform complex data into clear and actionable insights. The multidimensional structure allows for exploring information from different angles with agility, which is essential for quick and well-founded decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

Despite its robustness, sometimes the PAW interface could be more intuitive, especially for non-technical users. Some functions are hidden or require too many clicks, which delays the user experience in simple tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shortening paths and generating value for financial planning"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

The dynamism is phenomenal — the ability to change a simple assumption and instantly generate different simulations for financial planning in a fast and online manner is amazing.

Companies save time, but they also save money. After all, efforts are reduced and control is enhanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

Every tool has room for improvement. I believe IBM Planning Analytics could have better control over RAM consumption and offer clearer logging during the SDATA service startup process. After all, it’s unclear when feeder reprocessing will occur or how long the service will take to become available again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent financial planning tool"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

Using TM1 as a developer is working with a powerful, flexible, and performance-oriented platform; its in-memory architecture ensures agility in processing, even with large volumes of data. I believe that the freedom of modeling is a great differentiator, always being able to deliver what was aligned with the business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

I believe that the user interface visualization for PAW is still very limited, resulting in screens that are not very responsive in terms of UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best financial planning tool"
5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

As a senior FP&A analyst, what I like most about IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is its real-time calculation engine, flexibility to model complex scenarios, and the ability to handle large volumes of multidimensional data efficiently. It streamlines forecasting, budgeting, and reporting with high speed and accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I don’t like about IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is the steep learning curve for new users, the sometimes unintuitive interface, and the complexity of maintaining TI processes and rules. It can also be challenging to debug errors or manage large rule sets without strong technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Planning Analytics adds value to the business, with good performance and data security."
5/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

Planning ensures data consistency, allows for collaboration with many users at the same time without losing performance and agility. It is easy to use, with a user-friendly interface, reduces manual activities with reusable templates and automated and customized business rules for my business. It integrates with other systems, and the implementation was easy and fast, which gives us a lot of confidence to make updates and expand usage internally. IBM's support is satisfactory, with documents that help users resolve issues without needing to frequently open support tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

The price of the licenses. We have a lot of difficulty approving the acquisition of additional licenses because the price is very high, and as a result, we cannot expand the use much throughout the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4/5
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I like most about IBM Planning Analytics is the flexibility of the tool. It is possible to model practically any business scenario and see the results in real time, which greatly speeds up analysis and planning. The integration with Excel is also nice because spreadsheets are generally widely used in the corporate environment, and the tool provides a visual and intuitive environment in this mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I like the least is that some configurations and customizations still require a lot of technical knowledge, especially when we are dealing with TurboIntegrator or more complex rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
