Great for data management with ability to mask data for testing, move or copy data from one database or environment to another. Also works well for data archival **What do you dislike about IBM Infosphere Optim?** Report generation can be improved. Summarizing of data or reporting features could be added. **What problems is IBM Infosphere Optim solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find it useful for masking data in test regions and maintaining PCI, PII compliance. This tool also helps in migration or modernization of mainframe. Data archival feature is beneficial as well. ### 2. Easily customizable with own programming. Can be well automated. Best tool for mainframe applications. **What do you dislike about IBM Infosphere Optim?** in built masking scripts are lacking. very limited support for REGEX in mainframe. Auomated running of jobs is difficult in the windows version. **What problems is IBM Infosphere Optim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data masking of PII information in test regions on a regular basis. The principal benefits for customer is the audit and control of their information store on databases from internal unauthorized changes. ### 5. It is inexpensive to archive data.
