It is sterdy and flexible. we have yet to upgrade and that creates uncertainty because previous IBM upgrades were painfull. out of the box functionalities cover most of our basic requirements. **What do you dislike about IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management?** It doesnt connect very well with the rest of the Info sphere suite like the IGC. the stewardship center that is the maintenance tool is also difficult to integrate, **What problems is IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** we are not on cloud yet. Therefore, younger developers typically require several years of on-the-job training before they become proficient in using the product. **Recommendations to others considering IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management:** In-house support staff well versed in your enterprise infrastructure, security, etc. can become invaluable when preparing for installations or upgrades, and working with support staff when it becomes necessary to work through product usage or troubleshoot problems. **What problems is IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use DataStage for developing our ETL processes that support the data warehousing environments, along with various datamarts. The ability to rapidly prototype and productionize processes is incredibly beneficial. ### 4. Key capabilities like Entity Management, Search capabilities and most importantly Entity matching using Probabilistic Matching are a good value. **What do you dislike about IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management?** I would like to see it have better Search capabilities inline with the modern day requirements which some of the open source tech's like Solr provide. I would like to see it integrate with NoSQL databases like MongoDB so that the data can be used for operational services primarily read, rather than using fine grain Infospher MDM APIs **What problems is IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customer Entity matching is the key business benifits for which we use Infosphere MDM ### 7.
