IBM i is an operating system used for business, thee best thing I like is it's IBM Power Systems hardware via layers of low-level machine interface code that is simply awesome. and helps in using the operating system more efficiently and increases the user interface so that user can experience best service. One thing I dislike is that it's UI is too old that can be updated and made more attractive as User interface is the first thing every one looks first when ever he uses any product or views any product, so yes that I dislike other than that everything is fine and perfect up to the mark. IBMi is extremely outdated, however due to the lack of more advanced features it is very quick and once you are used to the system you can work extremely fast. Security-wise it is fairly great and the organization has never been involved in a data breach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Other than being outdated, it takes many more steps to do something that more current software could do in a few clicks. The UI is also not the greatest but after awhile you get used to it. It is also difficult to train others on the software because it is so outdated that people are not used to working with older products and do not like the increased effort to accomplish something another software could accomplish with a few clicks. The interface is not for everyone and involves learning the IBM lingo, abbreviations and alphabetty spaghetti That said nothing too advanced here so don't worry about any steep learning curve the basics will be picked up very quickly and does not need the prior knowledge of any other programming language although SQL will come in handy for pulling reports from the back end. API is kind of old and navigation is very static. The OS support for external application to the cloud or digital signature and automation stuff is very hard to integrate.
