The efficiency and speed of which DataPower processes requests is up there. In all my experience with working with physical DataPower appliances (XB62, IDG, X152), I"ve never had to worry about CPU/memory/disk space usage. Definitely helps me sleep at night. I'm not the best at XSLT, and a lot of the transformations require that. Converting from XSLT <-> JSON has been difficult (using JSON X), but I believe there are some actions in the 2018 instance that is supposed to make that easier, looking forward to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is important that our customers connect to a DMZ external gateway and not our internal network. Datapower allows us to have just that. Can be used by a wide range of skill sets from beginner to expert. While its useful to be an xslt guru, most things can be done with the gateway (javascript-ish) scripts.
