Ability to connect with multiple data sources that are not only structured but also unstructured is one of the strengths of Cognos Analytics. Consequently, it is highly flexible and enables deeper analysis of various data which comes from different sources. The drag and drop interface for creating visualizations is also very intuitive and easy to use, even for those who are not technically savvy.

Another thing that I found really useful while using the software was having the dashboard feature. It allows you to monitor key performance indicators in real time while still showing the entire data at a glance.
