"CloudAbility is best AWS cost saving tool i have used so far."

4.5/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

1. Strong chargeback/showback capabilities: Tag- and account-based allocation makes it easier to attribute spend to applications and teams, improving accountability and accelerating cost conversations.

2. Flexible reporting and drill-down: The ability to pivot by service, account, region, and time—and drill from a high-level view into specific cost drivers—supports both executive summaries and engineer-level troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

1. Better Kubernetes (EKS) cost attribution and optimization: More accurate split of node/pod costs (including system/daemonset overhead), idle capacity, and actionable recommendations such as cluster autoscaler tuning, bin-packing opportunities, and identifying over-requested CPU/memory at namespace/workload level.

2. Coverage-aware recommendations (RI/SP + discounts): When suggesting rightsizing or shutdown, automatically factor in Savings Plans/Reserved Instances, tiered pricing, and enterprise discounts so the “net savings” reflects what will actually change on the bill (and flags when a change might strand commitments).

3. Anomaly detection with root-cause hints: Stronger proactive alerts that not only detect spikes, but also suggest likely drivers (new tag/app, new account, specific service/API usage, data transfer path) and link directly to the underlying resources and change window.

4. Automation capability: Enable automation capabilities to implement rightsizing recommendations automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cloudability gives great insight on cost usage. the monthly reports generated through cloudabilaity helps us know which aws asset is costing us majorly and if something ca be done to reduce cost. It helps us know how most the non-prod environment is costing us and how we can optimize the cost over there. the rightsizing reccomendations helps us majorly in reducing monthly aws cost. "Strong Multi-Cloud Cost Visibility and FinOps Control with IBM Cloudability"

5/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

What I like best about IBM Cloudability is the level of visibility and control it provides across multi-cloud environments. It enables clear cost allocation, accurate showback/chargeback, and helps identify optimization opportunities such as rightsizing and eliminating underutilized resources. The insights are actionable and support better financial governance aligned with FinOps practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

One area for improvement in IBM Cloudability is that it works best when there is a well-defined tagging and governance model in place, which can take some time to mature. Additionally, new users may need a bit of time to fully explore all features and reports. However, once properly configured, the platform provides strong value and insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

IBM Cloudability helps solve the lack of visibility and control over cloud costs in multi-cloud environments. It enables us to understand where spending is happening, allocate costs accurately across teams, and identify optimization opportunities such as rightsizing and eliminating unused resources. This results in better cost governance, improved budgeting, and more efficient use of cloud resources, supporting our overall FinOps strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mastering Cloud Costs with Ease"

5/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I really appreciate the advanced Kubernetes and container cost allocation features of IBM Cloudability. They help in breaking open the financial black box of Kubernetes clusters, making it easier to know who has spent what amount of money within shared servers. I find it very beneficial that Cloudability combines actual hardware utilization data with cloud billing data, accurately assigning costs down to individual workloads and showing no mystery costs. This is really important for assigning dollar figures and understanding resource usage. It's also a very helpful resource for solving container spending issues and reconciling real-time telemetry with actual cloud bills, giving a bill-accurate dollar figure, which helps immensely with budget accuracy and accountability within the team. Additionally, the setup was really easy, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

So, there's some of the things which I really look into while I'm working with IBM Cloudability. So some of them are, like, the action gap. Cloudability tells you what is wrong, but it rarely says it for you. I think it should be improved with deeper native write-back integration that allows users to execute optimizations directly from the Cloudability interface with a single click. Also, the steep learning curve and initial sort of setup is, like, really hard. We should have better out-of-the-box templates for common organizational structures and smarter AI-driven auto-tagging recommendations to clean up automatically. Also, the governance should be improved by a completely overall unified work frame that allows seamless enterprise-wide role-based access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability to reduce waste, ensure predictable budgeting, and drive team accountability. It shows how much money our code and architecture cost, uses historical data for forecasting, and reduces cloud unit costs by managing idle resources and infrastructure sizing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, Impressive Cost Analysis"

4.5/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I appreciate IBM Cloudability for its ease of use, which presents a low learning curve for customers. This feature allows for easy adoption even by non-technical personas, facilitating faster ramp-up and inclusion into workflows. The user interface is particularly commendable, as the navigation and ability to segment within the application contribute significantly to its user-friendliness. Additionally, the initial setup of IBM Cloudability was a breeze, indicating the software’s efficient design and deployment in organizational settings. These aspects make IBM Cloudability not only accessible but also effective in managing cost and usage analysis for cloud services, allowing for detailed breakdown and customization across various dimensions. What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

I am not satisfied with the current integration of the container agent with Kubecost. The integration is not fully realized yet, which limits its utility. Furthermore, the Apptio container agent could be more robust—it primarily serves as a cost reporting tool without offering many right-sizing recommendations. This limitation affects my ability to optimize effectively. I am also unsure whether the agent has API capabilities similar to those available in other agents, which diminishes its overall functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability for detailed cost and usage analysis, enabling customized cloud spend reports and optimization. Its ease of use and simple setup facilitate quick adoption, even for non-technical users, improving team efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
