"Effective for Cloud Cost Optimization, Minor Hurdles"

4/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I like the clear and detailed cost visibility that IBM Cloudability provides, making it easy to understand spending across cloud platforms. Its ability to quickly identify cost-saving opportunities, like idle resources, is very effective. I also appreciate the user-friendly dashboard and reports that aid in better decision-making. Budget tracking and forecasting simplify financial planning significantly. Additionally, Cloudability provides useful insights that help improve cost efficiency and brings better financial control over cloud infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

Some reports can feel complex initially and require time to fully understand. Real-time cost updates are slightly delayed, which impacts immediate decision-making. Customization of dashboard and reports could be more flexible. Integration and setup for multiple cloud platforms like Azure can be a bit time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability to monitor and optimize cloud spending on AWS and Azure. It provides visibility in cost distribution, helping to identify cost-saving opportunities and unused resources. It simplifies multi-cloud cost management and improves financial control with centralized reports and user-friendly dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Granular Visibility and Ease of Use, But Setup Can Improve"

4/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I like the level of granular visibility IBM Cloudability provides into cloud costs. It's quite easy to use, and we can do reporting very easily. I appreciate how instead of looking at a single total bill, we can drill down into costs by team, environment, service, or even specific resources. It's also helpful that we can generate clear, structured reports without much manual effort and share them with respective stakeholders. Together, these features save time, cost, and improve transparency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

Sometimes it becomes complex, especially when we need deeper analysis and advanced reporting. Another challenge we faced during the initial setup and configuration that could be improved. We faced some issues while initial setup, mainly tagging strategy and cost allocation rules took some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability to solve visibility and cost control issues, enabling us to track costs by team and service, identify unused resources, and reduce unnecessary expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elevation with Cost Transparency, Minor Data Limitations"

4/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I appreciate IBM Cloudability for its remarkable ability to ingest and process a vast amount of data efficiently, transforming it into business-friendly information. This feature is particularly valuable as it addresses the challenges posed by significant growth in cloud usage and the increase in billing data points. The tool effectively assesses utilization and optimization, which would be challenging to accomplish manually. It brings transparency into cloud costs and provides real-time access to information, which is crucial for effective cloud cost management. I also value how it significantly simplifies the process of managing cloud costs and usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

I find the rightsizing recommendations in IBM Cloudability lacking as they do not pull and show memory data; they only display CPU and network information. Moreover, the out-of-the-box options are limited to amortized and cash basis costs, and they do not account for discounts, CSP, or reserved instances, which makes the cost analysis incomplete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability to track and manage cloud costs, bringing transparency and real-time access to information. It processes large data volumes, aiding in assessment, utilization, and optimization, making it business-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Consolidated Cloud Cost Management with Real-Time Efficiency"

4/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I really appreciate IBM Cloudability for its ability to consolidate our Cloud Service Providers efficiently and manage costs in a streamlined manner. IBM Cloudability's real-time updates are a game-changer, providing us with a single, real-time view of our cloud costs, simplifying complex data from the source systems into an accessible format. This allows our FinOps team to work effectively with the tech teams, make informed recommendations, and identify any anomalies to prevent unnecessary expenses. The ease of setup is another aspect I value, as it was very easy to get started with the platform. Additionally, the consolidated system and reporting capabilities were key reasons for our switch from AWS and Azure products. Overall, these features make IBM Cloudability a valuable tool for ensuring proper allocation and transparency of cloud costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

I find it challenging for the finance and FinOps teams to understand discrepancies between the general ledger, CLDY, and TBM Studio. This confusion hampers their ability to reconcile financial data effectively. Additionally, there's a lack of flexibility or visibility into how costs flow from cloud providers. The ability to adjust the CLDY connector to TBM Studio could greatly alleviate these issues and enhance clarity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability to consolidate cloud services, manage costs, and ensure proper cost allocations, providing real-time data and enabling collaboration to avoid unnecessary expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improves Cloud Management with Data Visibility, But Needs Better Visualization"

3.5/5

What do you like best about IBM Cloudability?

I appreciate the monthly reports and the ability to access close to real-time data. This feature is crucial for efficient monitoring and makes tracking Azure cloud costs more effective through IBM Cloudability. I particularly like how the platform enhances transparency and fosters collaboration between technical and financial teams, allowing leaders to better understand their tracking against cloud investments. The feature that allows viewing Azure consumption by different areas, departments, and applications is extremely valuable, aiding in promoting operational awareness and strategic planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?

I find IBM Cloudability's visualization capabilities lacking, with insufficient charts, graphs, and overall flexibility. The low visualization quality hinders my ability to effectively interpret data. Additionally, the platform lacks the dynamic capabilities I expect, similar to tools like Power BI. Mapping and taxonomy were challenges during the initial setup, making it difficult and not easy to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Cloudability solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use IBM Cloudability for cost tracking and optimization of Azure Cloud, solving issues with anomaly detection and usage overages. It provides near real-time data, monthly reports, and transparency across departments, enhancing collaboration between tech and finance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love IBM Cloudability for its excellent visualization features, which enable me to gain a clear insight into cloud costs. I appreciate the focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria by incorporating carbon emissions information, which aligns with my commitment to sustainability. The layout of the dashboards is generally favorable, allowing me to effectively manage visual data representations, although occasionally there's a perception of widget overload. Overall, its role in financial management across cloud environments is invaluable, with a fairly easy setup process that anticipates further enhancements with integrations like Entra Identity and Access Management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Cloudability?
