"Best customer journey for imporived process"

What do you like best?

BAW is one of the platforms which our clients like because its easier to understand their process and modify them to get more effective results. I like the best part with bluworkslive integration, central repository ease of development and testing as well its responsive mobile deveopment.

What do you dislike?

Blueworkslive compability is one way. Okay we understand why and how impossible it"s but hey we are ther to make the impossible happen. Is it not possible to have workflow items more sensitive to blueworks live. So while making design changes for an executional environment analysts can choose which can will be seen BLW or not. In that way it would be possible to track disruptive changes and tasks which can break backward compability with BLW.

What do you like best?

The solution has a good performance and scalability, wich is good to start a project and increase the offering with more funcionalities and business solve.

What do you dislike?

We believe that IBM has a complex offering with a lot o Part Numbers.

They should have just one offering to cloud and another one to on premise including DataCap BPM Case ODM e Content Manager. Also IBM should invest in BPs to create replication solutions ad should have a participation as a partnership in this selling. I mean could be 50% percent each in this kind of business.

To decrease the time and cost envolved in business process and solve customer problems.

"Ethical company, Business & cultural oriented, Trusts the employees"

What do you like best?

wide range of capabilities including email, sms, mobile push, automated programs.

New development in the UI is good and features quickly catching up with the older UI.

Ability to embed 'Contact Insights' into 3rd party web sites/apps is very useful.

The Watson Marketing Assistant is a cool feature which provides easy access to some very useful metrics.

Modular templates has proved to be a useful feature for our clients, allowing them to self serve.

For more technical requirements, you can use the provided APIs and also send transactional emails.

What do you dislike?

Integration with IBM Campaign is a little clunky on the Campaign side.

Reporting is not great and the screen has a fixed size which is annoying.

Not a lot of 3rd party integrations which is very unfortunate.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you speak to a specialist before committing to this product. It is often bundled along with other IBM products and customers purchase it for the cost savings. However the work required to make it work can be expensive, and the marketing automation features are clumsy.

our clients are sending highly personalised emails and some have integrated into IBM Campaign.

Some clients have a variety of modular templates which makes them more self sufficient, saving on agency costs

"Very impressed with the product design of the BPM Engine"

What do you like best?

The Process Portal is built with keeping the end user in mind. The out of the box features such as team performance and process performance are winners. I used them so far in all of my demos.

What do you dislike?

The ability to extend the platform in case of use cases outside the BPM scope is what I feel is missing in the platform.

The workflow itself is a huge advantage to the type of problems we look at. Our solutions are simple straight forward workflow solutions built for companies across verticals.

"IBM BPM 8.6 New Features "

What do you like best?

The Web Processor Designer , Swagger Integration , Low Code No Code features , Upgraded UI , The Coach Views , Easy to Integration with RPA like AA , Improved process portal

What do you dislike?

Though Web Process Designer is one of the best feature i liked, there are may things like Out of sync issues , Design Alignement when working with Events on Activites ( Especially when using Timer or Exception events on a particular Activity ) the are not working as expected. Migration issues especially For the Advanced Integration Services we have faced many issues, The Inspector View can be improved and provide more handy debugging

What do you like best?

the vision or intention is good, and there is still a need for this in virtually all organizations

What do you dislike?

it is still lacking in execution. i think you have missed the mark a bit over the past couple of years. it still has a feel of being too complex. there is a new overlay, but it under the hood you still find the old components that are not easy enough to use - especially in a real, large-scale situation. you are taking on too much and trying to boil the ocean. take a few steps back and think about it from a users perspective

What do you like best?

It makes implementing a new system easier by using processes or writing small scripts while error handling and process flows are already handled.

What do you dislike?

Software produced is somehow slow which is suitable with banks applications not other web applications.

"BPM-good product for business process"

What do you like best?

very ease to build the process prototype.

Integrates with other software systems in a straightforward way like IBM FileNet, IBM Case Manager.

Efficient UI building functionality - provide human services UIs which can be build on mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers.

BPM 8.5.6 comes along with Mobile First Adapter.

What do you dislike?

Installation is bit difficult and little painful.

Not recommended for case management, though BPM 8.5.6 comes with basic case management feature.

"BAW: Workflow Engine"

What do you like best?

Ease of coding, developers can hit the ground running from day one following a top down approach while designing the process flow first and then building the lower level services.

What do you dislike?

Code management: Developers can not navigate or dril down into specific service to figure out which change was made when which is far more easier with a GIT like repository.

We are using BPM for document managment workflow when any document submitted by end user follows specific workflow based on routing rules defined in our system.

Easy integration, quick UI development, Colloboration between business teams using IBM blueworks live

What do you like best?

IBM BPM provides strong simulation and optimization tools. It also provide multiple what if scenarios highlighting pain points and possible suggestions for optimization. The tool readily integrates with MS Office.

Developers will definitely like the unified single model, eclipse based development environment.

Built-in forms editor offers easy creation and testing of AJAX-based forms.

The tool provides Real time view into process and LOB data through its performance server.

What do you dislike?

Merging of snapshots could be improved. It could also do well to support ready templates and knowledge frameworks for different verticals

A tool to peek into process data BLOB and ability to change the process data at runtime would be nice to have..

IBM Process Manager is fast, powerful and optimizes processes extremely well. It seamlessly integrates many of our processes.

The ramp up was a bit slow but that was to be expected.

the comprehensiveness of it is good. I can see how I would use it for many things.

takes long to learn. the time I took to learn it was longer than I thought it would be.

"BAW does what it says it does"

What do you like best?

Provides a way to automate processes that is relatively painless. I like the fact that it's easy to upgrade to a new snapshot or roll back to an old one

difficulty of development. Snapshots often contain bugs that have to be dealt with
