What I really like about the platform is that APIs can be exposed and integrated to the Internet securely. It is a complex process, however, the platform makes it a smoother experience, which makes the use of IBM App Connect favorable.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

Implementation can sometimes be frustrating because it's like a third-party application embedded in our main application, and sometimes backups will not work as expected.

Experience is needed, otherwise it is very difficult to set up and configure in production. The documentation is not sufficient.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

I would recommend starting with a POC. If the proof of concept serves the purpose, then make the decision and go for a large-scale implementation.

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

IBM App Connect is used for exposing business APIs to external consumers and other partner applications in a secure manner. It provides an integrated platform for running, creating and managing APIs. The amount of tools that this software has is incredible, they ARE MANY and really they are too useful. It should be noted that this software is very "friendly" because it explains very carefully how it is handled and the use of its options and tools, so you will not have problems when carrying out one of your business projects through IBM App Connect. I can also say that with this software you will learn a lot because IBM App Connect gives you a lot of information so you can read and know many things that you did not know all this to facilitate your learning, knowledge and handling of this software.

**Reviewed by:** Lokesh Y. | Logistics Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

I am using IBM App Connect to create large business applications which are depending on multiple application for syncing the data in real time. So, the changes comes up instantly and there is no wait time. Everything is stored in cloud, so there is no chance of any data to be missing at all.
It also provides hundreds of built in templates to integrate or use customized ones present in the user community. It can easily connect with apps like Salesforce & Marketo and supports old SOAs, micro services, and other APIs. It is highly secured and reliable when it comes to integration of various apps.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The overall cost of using it is very high and it can only be used in large business projects so that the cost can be adjusted against it. It is not suitable for small or mid size projects.
Apart from that, it completely serves it purpose.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

IBM App Connect is strongly recommended if you are looking for a reliable cloud storage to integrate your client’ data without using much coding and bothering about infrastructure.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best part about IBM App Connect is that it can integrate data from cloud as well as local server storage. Therefore, all our existing client’s data is easily exported to cloud using IBM App Connect without any execution issues and speed is quite good. The overall infrastructure is completely managed by them and we just need to focus on the “how to execute” part and development process. Complex integrations seem to be very easy after we are using it. Everything gets setup within minutes and third party APIs can be easily used.

  ### 11. IBM Cast Iron Integration with Salesforce

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahalingam S. | Lead Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

ability to manage the highly complex integrations where there is quite a bit of data processing involved in the middleware. In these situations IBM Cast Iron scores above the providers such as Informatica.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The support from the product team is not so great. It caused quite a few constraints during the PoC phase where we were exploring different options.
The quality of support we received from other middleware products such as Informatica , mulesoft and the level of engagement they had is truly impressive

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

With respect to salesforce product roadmap, IBM app connect mayn't be aligned completely. As salesforce continues to acquire ISVs such as mulesoft and others, there could be out of the box connectors available for plug and play. however if the integration required is very complex, IBM App Connect is worthy of consideration

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing in the contractors (ICDRs) time sheets and purchase orders from SAP into Salesforce so that it can be integrated with Financial Force Professional Service Automation to determine the resource availability and utilization. As the data is stored in different boxes in different geographies with different structures, unifying the data and feeding into salesforce was handled by IBM App Connect.

  ### 12. A Perfect and Simple Solution to Integrate Systems

IBM App Connect is a simple solution to integrate all the data even from complex systems. Its light weight and easy to use platform. Can be deployed in cloud or on premise as we need and they do support from SOA to micro services which makes it widely accepted.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

the kind of support system they do have is much lesser compared to what their peers provide. very less documented hence we won't get any additional information through other means.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

You can definitely categorize it as an enterprise wide integrator which can be used to transform data and perform batch processing. We can easily build API Proxies , usability and also the kind of security they provide also met the standards and there by can be used for our applications as required is what i think.
A one of a kind system that integrate all your simple to complex system and can be deployed into cloud . An easy to use system as well as the functionalities of system make it more attractive and i should definitely recommend to try it once.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 13. IBM app connect, the application integrator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olimar P. | Programador sénior, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

It is a tool of type SAAS, which allows to integrate the data generated by different applications located on public platforms such as gmail, slack, etc. or in private network environments. Implements a graphical tool, App Connect Designer in the IBM Cloud, or on IBM Bluemix, with a large number of connectors and preset operations that help in the process of defining the origin of the data and the receiver applications for processing, which will forming a set of tasks that will form a process. This tool greatly simplifies the design of processes for companies with the possibility of integrating the complex ecosystems of applications that characterize companies today. The large number of popular application connectors can be of great help to integrate this tool as a complement to the ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) applications that are used by large companies and that normally facilitate the exchange of data for internal systems. It could even be used as ESB. It is a good tool for the implementation of the paradigm of "process oriented" very fashionable and necessary to eliminate bureaucratization in companies

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The design interface of the process could be improved, adding controls to go to the previous steps, undo actions, execute authentication of the app without leaving the original screen

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

can facilitate the design of processes involving public and common-use SAAS applications

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

facilitates the tasks of designing processes, in a simpler way than with BPM type designers

  ### 14. IBM Connect App - A new way of exposing business

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

IBM app connect allows you to integrate all the business data that you have of any form, may that be simple as SaaS or most complex, app connect handles it all.You can also connect across clouds with flexible deployment option that is chosen by you.The best thing about ibm app connect is that it supports a variety of integration styles which allows user to select according to their requirement. It empowers us to connect all the data that we have as a company and make it more simple and organized in a safe and secured way. Beast part is this is a software that explains to you exactly how it works, therefore you will not have problem of how this software works, on the other hand IBM is a software that tries to teach you new things, and definitely that facilitates your learning within this professional field.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

I like so much this app and we don't have points that we dislike, If we need to find a point, I think that is a little expensive but it's a great tool that in our case we solved the problem that we had for years. If you have a little company probably you can't pay this product.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have obtained many benefits thanks to IBM App Connect because as I can integrate our business projects together with other applications we can see many designs as well as share them and other people can see our designs and likewise share them if they want. Through this software we can connect with other stakeholders in the business and customers as well as suppliers.

In the past (when we did not use this software) we had many problems with the integration of other software, but it should be noted that this was solved when we started using IBM App Connect as well as we can use other projects (recycling) and save more time.

To the project exhibitor it is much easier for her to work in public since I make the slides in IBM App Connect, everything is spectacular from the presentation to the projects, and everything really is very beautiful.

And the security that our projects are in is noticeable.

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

One of the things I like most about this software is that it provides an integrated platform for running, creating and managing APIs, it can also develop integrations between systems that are done in other software and that would take much more time and would be more difficult to achieve.

Its reliability and the large number of endpoints for connectivity are valuable features. I like the ease with which you can add custom applications with the IBM integration bus.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

LoThe difficulty in getting immediate help, however, is beneficial for us to have a support team with very high knowledge, therefore, they should improve the response time.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit I have gained has been to integrate our product databases with Salesforce, the development of the proxy API is quite easy with the IBM Connect application, it has a graphical developer interface, we can quickly develop solutions that connect to anything in the cloud, without having to build those connectors ourselves, so it helps optimize time and makes it very intuitive.

Its reliability and the large number of endpoints for connectivity are valuable features. I like the ease with which you can add custom applications with IBM's integration bus.
It's interesting how you can perform extremely complex integrations, but when configured like any other application, your experience connecting SaaS applications with other applications and your own local systems is just as simple.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

Among the things I don't like is the difficulty in obtaining immediate help; however, it is beneficial for us to have a support team with very high knowledge. Therefore, they should improve the response time.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

You can do really powerful things with this system. The overall design is an attempt to set up some of the routine tasks / common functionality, but it allows for the development / customization of the core of the application.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit I have obtained has been integrating our product databases with Salesforce. The development of API proxies is quite easy with the IBM Connect application; it has a graphical developer interface. ### 27. A better tool in the market

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sri Prakash V. | Quality Inspector, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

The best thing about IBM App Connect is its ability to integrate data from cloud and locally stored server.
It helped our organization seamlessly integrate the on-premise services with partner organization.
The development of API proxy is fairly easy

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The GUI should be improved. It should take a few options from other API management tools in their offering.

I have used Apigee and compared to it the development is more cumbersome.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

It is leading in Gartner's report and from my research it is a balanced tool in the market.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had 8 partner applications. We used IBM App Connect exposing business APIs to external consumers and our partner applications in a secure manner. It provides an integrated platform for running, creating and managing APIs.

  ### 28. Cloud application

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

What I like about this application is the ease with which a large amount of data can be managed; I consider it its main attraction. You can transfer any information from one application to another with just a few clicks and in a very efficient and fast way. You don't have compatibility issues with formats since it converts it to a format that the app can read on its own without you doing anything.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The main problem with this application, in my opinion, is its interface. It is very unintuitive and at first glance, one can have the feeling that it is very complex and difficult to learn. Not to mention the issue of money, as its high cost may deter many people or companies who might be interested in the advantages of this application.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

Recommended for those companies interested in creating APIs or managing their own assets internally in the cloud, despite being somewhat unintuitive and having high costs, its technical support and great stability provide this application with great trust from many companies, making it highly recommended.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main areas in which I carry out my work tasks with this application are data management and the generation of reports and analyses with which to respond to and assist our clients and the company itself. I have noticed an improvement compared to before using the IMB app, especially an increase in efficiency.

I like how it helps us manage so many different sources of Data, especially that i can help with sales force data too. It makes us a better data company! We can integrate our internal systems more and see everything fro m a more accurate perspective.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

The UI has a lot that needs work on. It seems to be a little over complicated and I wish it was an easier interface to manage. Also, better and more visualization would help great. Data can mean a lot more to people with visualization!

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

Improve visualizations!

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have consolidated and shifted our focus to be more data driven. IBM App Connect is helping us bride the gap between multiple sources and work better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

I like that it is easy to use, the collaborative function that encourages and the integration of the various services of the company, such as the integration of email, the edition of documents and social networks.
It is very easy to use as a social network and to strengthen closer relationships with users, since it is possible to stay connected from the mobile device and create many communities, it is very easy to create work groups and follow up on activities.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

It has many features, but it must make the interface more intuitive and easy to use for the end user, since it is very easy to get lost with the interface initially, but this is no longer a problem in a couple of weeks after getting used to it.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

The best tool to facilitate communication in the company.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

The push towards citizen integration with the workflow tooling. This is a good move in the market as competitors have this functionality already (i.e dell boomi)

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

IBM App Conect allows us to integrate Salesforce with other cloud and on-premise systems quickly and efficiently

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

IBM App Conec' sDocumentation is not upto mark.
The time taken by support team is not acceptable by industry standards.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

I would recommend to maybe start with a POC. if the proof of concept servers the purpose , then take the decision and go on a full scale implementation.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it to develop a enterprise wide integrations system. The benefit which we got was -- we were able to quickly develop integrations between systems which would take in other software much longer time and difficult to achieve.

  ### 36. Cloud solutions for companies that want to innovate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM App Connect?**

Ease of use, you can log in using the credentials of the company you work for or as an IBM client. Many customization options: creation of surveys, Blogs or Wikias (shared knowledge encyclopedias), reminders but, above all, cloud file storage. Without forgetting the "social" side: share files, links, and feelings with others.

**What do you dislike about IBM App Connect?**

Difficulty of access for inexperienced users. Let's take, for example, an old company that wants to enter the digital age: the interface is intuitive, but the login barrier and the steps this company would have to take to "stay up to date" could deter many lazy people. I have met many business leaders unwilling to "these modernities."

This brings us to its core problem: anyone who wants to share files in a company (or in school, university, any cooperative environment) has much more open alternatives. Obviously, I am referring to services like Google Drive (and its failed social network Google +) and, of course, Dropbox. Personally, I have had more success in projects using these alternatives because, as I say, not everyone is capable of leaving the "laziness" of one system to join another. It is a fact that many people have a Google account, yet it would be much harder for them to trust an "external" application to those already on their phone.

These two barriers, I think, are what I like the least.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM App Connect:**

If you use this application in your daily life, you will see that it makes life much easier. However, if your business environment is not very "modern," you will have more problems than conveniences. I recommend an explanation/tutorial to resolve doubts before implementing it in your company.

**What problems is IBM App Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create a privacy space with which to face challenges from a team perspective. Long-term benefits in terms of trust among employees. The possibility of "humanizing" the different elements of the company while still executing the "orders" and objectives it sets. Ultimately, you could achieve these advantages in many different apps, but the element of privacy makes IBM Connections optimal.
