## Ibexa DXP Reviews
  ### 1. Ibexa DXP is a top-tier choice for complex B2B catalogs and customer portals.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

For our redesign, Ibexa unified content, e-commerce, and PIM into one coherent interface across all domains. This synergy was vital for team adoption and collaboration. I also value the robust ecosystem—with tools like Qualifio—which perfectly supports complex digital strategies.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

To expand on my feedback regarding the user experience, the back-office challenges generally center on the friction between high-end technical power and daily editorial efficiency. The current back-office experience lacks the "flow" found in more consumer-oriented CMS tools. The writing process can feel fragmented, often requiring too many clicks to perform routine tasks like formatting or structuring content.
The most significant pain point is the media management workflow. Uploading resources like photos often lacks an intuitive, drag-and-drop feel, making it difficult for teams to quickly populate galleries or align visuals with text

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a catalyst for our digital transformation, Ibexa provides a stable, user-friendly environment that scales with our strategy. Its API-first architecture seamlessly modernized our ecosystem by connecting with existing tools like our CRM. Furthermore, the taxonomy and dynamic content features have drastically improved our publishing speed and consistency.

  ### 2. The CMS meets our expectations in terms of security, shared contribution, and multi-site management.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerome P. | Internet Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I don’t yet have enough perspective, as our use of Ibexa compared with eZ Platform is still too recent.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa once again allows direct access to features from the file tree, which is a very positive point.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interconnections with third-party systems are possible. We have implemented many, whether with our E-commerce system, our application, or our CRM system.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you for your feedback Jerome, We really value your insights.
I see that you are still on eZ Platform. We have made considerable improvements and would strongly encourage you to take a closer look at Ibexa DXP.
The UI has been revamped as i am sure you are very much aware of. Reducing the number of clicks in the back office was frequently mentioned by customers and we spent considerable time to look at streamlining the navigation and also improve the effieciency for editors and marketeers.

We are happy to discuss more in detail. Should you have any question feel free to reply here or get in touch with us.

  ### 3. Flexible Content Engine for Modern Digital Experiences

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I really appreciate how Ibexa can serve as a flexible, central content engine that powers the entire customer-facing experience. The platform's modularity lets us tailor the solution to our needs, and the ability to integrate with our CRM and payment provider has been seamless. The headless content capabilities and the ease with which we can personalize and manage content for different users are particularly impressive, especially for building structured, actionable workflows.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The main pain point is around the pricing model, particularly with the number of environments included by default. Sometimes we need just one more environment, but the current structure forces us to buy a bundle of five, which isn't cost-effective for a growing company. More flexible pricing options for startups and scaling businesses would be appreciated.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Search and structuring of content.

  ### 4. Well rounded platform with some great features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa has transitioned from a focus on publishing to a broader digital experience, and with this shift, they have introduced several valuable features for discovering and creating content. The addition of publication calendars and embedding tools greatly simplifies the work of content managers. The role-based system for managing both workflow and content permissions is especially helpful for larger organisations or in situations where requirements must be reviewed or approved.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

From an engineering perspective, the extensibility offered is valuable, although there are certain areas where support for this is lacking. To address these gaps, there is a noticeable emphasis on integrating with external services. In my view, many DXPs and CMSs have shifted toward a headless, service-based model, which I believe is generally a better direction. This is especially relevant when considering Ibexa's price point, as it positions the product more toward a specialised, niche market of B2B ecommerce.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have consistently relied on Ibexa as a CMS for both publishing and media companies, as well as for certain B2C e-commerce sites. The advantage of using a single, extensible platform is that it enables us to meet our customers' needs effectively. However, in recent times, it has become increasingly challenging to extend the platform in meaningful ways for some clients. Despite this, as a content management system built on a foundation like Symfony, Ibexa continues to offer a decent environment for development.

  ### 5. A robust CMS that fits our needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

As a newbie to Ibexa, I like how easy and intuitive it is to work in. Time from learning to actual producing pages is short.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

When adding language versions of components and pages, it can get complex fast, but this is the same for all CMSes.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have sites in different markets/languages and Ibexa helps us align content across markets and making it more efficient for the editors to work. Together with Raptor it will also serve as our personalisation engine on the web pages.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback. Very happy to hear that you find it be a productive tool. Indeed adding languages does make it a bit more complex, but also very powerful. Having said that we are always interested in understanding your use case to see if there are ways to simplify.

  ### 6. Flexible and powerful enterprise DXP on Symfony bases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc E. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP is a very flexible foundation for our future business initiatives. Its open architecture based on one of the widely used PHP Frameworks makes it easy for our internal Engineering Team to adapt and extend the Application according to our taste and our needs.

The integrated Page Builder supports our editors to build and immediately review product landing pages according to our design standards without sacrificing the headless support to provide the same data to other client applications.

Last but not least: The support from Ibexa is outstanding! We are constantly in contact with different people of Ibexa that are continuously helping us finding the best solutions possible.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

To implement Ibexa DXP properly you need the help of a third party agency. This in itself is not so much an issue but having a powerful inhouse Engineering Team collaborating with an external team is at least challenging to manage.

Some aspects of the system are surprisingly underdeveloped. Although the main architecture is impressive and the application has all the main features that you need on an enterprise level there are some areas that need some more time to fully reach their potential.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are merging multiple different brands with multiple different CMS/DXP solutions into one unified service without sacrificing the differences of the brands. Therefore we would need a system that is easy to adapt to all our different requirements and cover multiple different domains with multiple different translations. On top we also want to provide marketing data to other client application than the websites without the need to manage the content on different locations reduntantly. Ibexa DXP is going to be our central content management system for all marketing related information and is going to be used for all kinds of marketing automation in future.

  ### 7. Setting up websites based on Ibexa

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Powerful CMS in my professional context

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Perfectible hotline with significant gaps in incident-related reports

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up websites with a CMS

  ### 8. Battle tested CMS for big content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredrik T. | Tech Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

AI Actions optimizes editors workflow

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Still missing SVG support

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lets our editors organize and maintain a large amount of different content without the need for technical support.

  ### 9. Software suitable for all types of business needs with a modern CMS, a complete DXP

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward T.

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Its versatility and adaptability to my rather complex needs. It has never failed, and I am only limited by my imagination. The richness and breadth of features, as well as the addition of options, enhance the product.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The internal cost of version upgrades and the complexity of certain functions that remain quite "standard" on other CMSs in the market. For example, the addition of blocks for contribution that need to be developed by agencies.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personalization, thanks to Raptor, allows us to offer a website tailored to the individual (and no longer just to the profile) and enables us to provide our clients with a personalized browsing experience. Our clients feel at home on our websites and feel valued. We speak to them personally.
A unique CMS with a PIM, Online Sales, and Personalization, all in one CMS, is something that allows us to reduce our Time To Market, because we only have one CMS to develop. Gone are the flows between the different components of a CMS, an online sales site, etc. This represents a saving of time and money and a simplification of flows and developments.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you so much for you review Edward.

Knowing you have been a trusting customer for a long time it really means a lot to hear that you find our offering as valuable as we think it is. We are working hard to simplify the upgrade path and have fortunately been able to overcome some of the challenge we used to have (LTS Updates) . A lot of these improvements stem from valuable insights from customers like yourself.

The way you have been able to really take advantage of the DXP offering a hyper personalized solution is very inspiring for us and hopefully for others who want to step up their game with personalized experiences. We will keep pushing to give an even better experience going forward!

  ### 10. Ibexa from a developer perspective.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Documentation and its flexibility to work for different scenarios.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

I would say again documentation as in some part the documentation is not complete and not helping with developers to find information.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Defining the architecture of an application. And it’s very much easy to adapt to any kind of web application.

  ### 11. Big data CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Robust platform with seamless integration posibilites

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The landing page editor could have been done easier.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When working on projects where there are advanced structures of the data and multi site handling Ibexa DXP is best at handling this. It's easier for both developers and editors to keep a good overview of the data inside a CMS.

  ### 12. Ibexa DXP and the QNTM ecosystem are among the most flexible options in the DXP market.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP is not one of the big product names that every digital marketing expert immediately thinks of when it comes to a modern DXP. However, in the implementation of various projects, the Symfony base, the modular structure, and the high flexibility of the DXP always prove to be strengths. The backend with the WYSIWYG Page Builder is intuitive and can be quickly learned even by occasional users. For small to medium-sized marketing teams, it is a really well-rounded solution.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Certainly, a few features are missing in Ibexa DXP that major manufacturers like Adobe have already integrated. For example, the WYSIWYG editor is somewhat more sophisticated there, AI features are more advanced, and the integration into the almost ubiquitous Creative Suite is more seamless. Here, Ibexa cannot always keep up with the latest trends.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This question makes no sense in terms of content in the German translation.

  ### 13. Ibexa DXP is an advanced and flexible web platform built on Symfony

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The latest versions include options to integrate AI functionality for editors.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Error messages for editors when something is wrong with their article/content could be improved.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a business website platform that we can partially manage ourselves to reduce cost. At the same time it needs to be flexible enough to handle different use cases and needs, like multi-language and multi-site support.

  ### 14. Ibexa DXP: power and flexibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ousmane K. | Lead Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP offer us many possibility to address differents client typology of web.
It's well known content management is combine now with product and commerce feature.
It's extremely extensible. the new composability offered with raptor and qualifeo is new Way to help our clients accomplish new exciting feature.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

- cost (I know, but they do better)
- I wanted to address some oversea maket (Africa).
- default frontend application (reactive)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ibexa helped to build a Hight personalized Website base on it's integration of raptor

  ### 15. Ibexa DXP good alternative to Adobe Experience Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

* It's open, you can extend it to your needs.
* The team behind the tool - they are accessible and helpful

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

* Even though it's open, you still feed the history, many things are opinionated and optimized for use cases from the past
* Headless first support is still not there where it could be

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like to have a good hybrid solution that support traditional Marketing needs like Landingpages with personalisation but also headless approaches that serve our apps.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank for the review. You bring a lot of insights which are valuable to us.
Because we follow Semantic versioning (ensuring we dont break custom development in projects when upgrading) we from time to time need to have discussions on how to approach developing a given feature. We aim at balancing the reliability of an enterprise DXP with the innovation and sometimes that can be a challenging exercise.

When it comes to your comment on headless we are have a solid API foundation, but we lack SDKs to accelerate development on specific platforms as an example. This has also been mentioned by others.

  ### 16. Efficient tool, but the contribution interface could be improved

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The DXP platform is composable and modular and allows for advanced customization.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Content management is unintuitive and can be improved

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is a unified and flexible platform

  ### 17. Innovation, Flexibility, and Fun

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The Ibexa DXP hits the sweet spot in various trade-offs - for example, flexibility/customization vs. out of the box; standard requirements vs. innovation; mid-sized business requirements vs. enterprise... overall, a system that is fun to work with and integrate into daily work!

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Partially, we feel that certain functions are not yet fully "thought through" - e.g., in the preview, where it is not possible to display a dropdown of the languages supported by the system without selecting the default languages.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralization of the control instance while simultaneously targeted enablement of the respective marketing departments on the customer side. Before the introduction of the DXP, this was not possible for the customer, resulting in all types of marketing activities always ending in a bottleneck.

  ### 18. Good evolution from eZ Platform to Ibexa DXP, but prices also evolved

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Good overall user experience for content creators; has a WYSIWYG page builder, publishing workflows, reliable scheduled publishing and more.

Multitenant and multilanguage support; important for us as an international company.

Flexibility in terms of hosting; you can use the Ibexa PaaS offer, or host it on the infrastructure of your choice (e.g. your own), Ibexa is cloud ready.

Customizability; We use Ibexa DXP for a lot of different cases which require implementation of different requirements. Ibexa allows us to serve a lot of different usecases.

API-First approach; Connecting third party data sources is quite easy to do, this saves a lot of implementation effort at times.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP has evolved a lot over time, but there are still some legacy parts that need refactoring. This sometimes results in bad performance in some areas under certain conditions.

Ibexa has some highly skilled support engineers that will try to help you in case of issues, but of course Ibexa has its own roadmap and some issues that might result under certain conditions, that do not affect a lot of customers will be prioritized rather low.

We use Ibexa DXP for many years, back then it was called eZ Platform - since then, the quality and count of features has gone up, but pricing too.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of different needs for websites/webapps, we want to have one CMS/DXP that adresses mostly all of these needs, to avoid having multiple different solutions that need to be maintained.

  ### 19. Overall good, but needs improvement in certain areas

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Content management capabilities: content creation, editing and publishing are relatively easy.
Multilingual and multisite support: this feature is very useful for us especially while working with different regions and countries.
Integration capabilities: Ability to integrate the website to different 3rd party systems and services is a very big advantage for us

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Content creation/publishing workflow should be a standard feature. It should not be configured separately for a fee by agency.
High dependency on agency is slowing down the process. The backend should be more user friendly and content elements like in wordpress rather than certain templates would make it easier for users to customize the website.
Some basic features such as hiding menu items and creating landing pages without navigation menu are missing.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ibexa is helping us to connect all websites (from different regions and countries) in one place and optimize content management process.

  ### 20. Ibexa DXP is an all-in-one solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The fact that there is an integrated PIM allows for very dynamic product pages and perfect e-commerce integration.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The use of the PIM is not intended to allow for regular automatic imports from flat files. We had to develop a specific PIM import bundle. And there are still some manual actions to be done in the back office.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The setup of a complete e-commerce site with connections to our IT system (ERP, CRM) in a simple way once the connectors have been developed.

  ### 21. Good Content Management Software for large companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

It is easy to use and it is not complicated to manage global but also local content. Customer support is quite nice and reachable. Agency can easily adapt the system to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Unfortunately, there is no AI feature yet. We use Hubspot and can integrate AI agents easily. However, Ibexa is not offering anything with AI options.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily manage global content and share with local offices. Also, we can easily manage translations and create nice landing pages by using the page builder.

  ### 22. A great CMS with untapped potential within the DXP

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

What I like best about the platform is our direct access to the vendor, which allows us to influence the roadmap and request fixes for small issues we encounter. This level of support makes the experience more tailored to our needs and ensures we're always working with an evolving product.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

What I dislike about the platform is its limited user base, which makes finding online resources and community-driven solutions challenging. When we encounter issues, we can’t always rely on quick, external support or troubleshooting guides, which can slow down our problem-solving process.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a platform that could be developed within our internal development teams technology stack knowledge that also met the needs of the marketing department. We were previously outsourcing all of the development on our old platform and it was too costy. Moving to Ibexa allowed us to save a large cost while also allowing for future growth.

  ### 23. Ibexa pour du contenu personnalisé

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Customization, interface, user and content management

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Complex version upgrades (this should be better since the switch to Ibexa)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ibexa for content management, particularly to create diagnostic journeys. These journeys are intended for customer service advisors in call centers to help resolve the client's technical issues based on their data. We do not use the Page Builder; we have a customized Front-End.

  ### 24. Ibexa is much more than CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

More functionalities than a pure CMS, with PIM, personalisation, Marketingautomation is a really asset.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Hight licence costs, flexible pricing would be helpful

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing needs for a Website, structure the data, and connecting to third party tools

  ### 25. A comprehensive and customizable tool for substantial websites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP has many useful features: studio mode with drag & drop, multi-language management, URL management, etc. Customization of the tool is also very important: whether it's for content types, studio mode blocks, or the different tabs of the interface, the tool gives us the ability to add almost anything we want. Its technical stack is well-known (PHP and based on a well-known framework), making it easier for developers.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

For creating small websites, the tool is rather heavy and requires a lot of resources. Getting to grips with the tool for novice profiles can be a bit tough.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ibexa allows us to have an efficient and powerful back office for our websites. With the DXP version, we have the ability to create landing pages on the fly and customize them as we see fit. It also allows us to have the same technical base for our web projects, simplifying development and knowledge sharing among development teams.

  ### 26. Highly flexible DXP platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Scalability, flexibility. We were able to customise the platform to our specific needs which were complex and varied. We needed many external service integrations which the Ibexa platform can handle easily. We needed to optimise back office workflows for minimal steps to maximum process efficiency for content publishing, which is fully achievable on the Ibexa DXP platform. Caching is sophisticated as is the extensible CDN. The platform enabled us to have 1 central code base which bought considerable economies of scale for support and maintenance. The team at Ibexa are expert and offer excellent levels of service via their customer success team.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Whilst the cloud hosting is performant, it is sized in steps rather than via seperately configurable parts. This makes it easier to understand from a purchasing perspective but limited in options when it comes to pricing.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central codebase to support multi domains. CDNfor distributed audiences.

  ### 27. Very intuitive working

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Once the basic principles of the system are understood, it is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

We only use a very small portion of the possibilities, and therefore the technical implementation of our change requests in the system seems quite costly to me.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website of the corporate group with subsidiaries and branches, all of which should receive the same brand design

  ### 28. A CMS for small and large sites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cédric S. | Project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

A powerful CMS that relies on Symfony, easy to get started with. Possibility to use the power of APIs for headless operation.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Obligation to take the ECommerce version to access certain features

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

user rights management
multilingual management

  ### 29. Tous temps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

We have implemented a massive management of our sites (more than 120 sites) on a single Ibexa tenant. Rationalization and performance are on a solution tailored to manage these constraints.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Rien de notable depuis que nous avons travaillé ensemble sur l'optimisation des performances.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cela nous permet de centraliser massivement notre offre de vitrine numérique pour notre branche Dermo-cosmétiques.

  ### 30. Flexibility to meet our needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Possibility to develop customized solutions to meet our needs.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Slowness in page builder. Heaviness of the "trash" that makes it unusable for us.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to centralize our content to then publish on our website, in our web app, in our tablet/phone application, etc.

**Official Response from Sylvain Guittard:**

> Thank you for your feedback on Ibexa DXP. The performance of our solutions is one of the main priorities for the Ibexa teams. We have greatly reduced loading times on the latest version v4.6LTS. We are fully at your disposal if you continue to experience slowness on the page builder or the trash.

  ### 31. A company that still cares about the customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Flexible system that easily adapts to other systems.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

For users, having a better guideline for using the system would be helpfull.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had separate systems for PIM and PIM with redundant data and a non functional integration. Ibexa centralizes those systems and is easy to integrate.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback. Its greatly allows us to improve.
Feel free to follow up with a comment here or contact us directly so we can understand better on how we can improve the guidelines.

  ### 32. A good solution for multi-universe publishers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The ability to share multiple content across multiple 'universes' setup within the CMS. The flexibility for the setup of these universes and the massive upgrades that add a multiude of new features.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Too much development or customisation to a specific version means that upgrading becomes very problematic. Difficult to find programmers with enough experience in the platform to utilise it correctly, meaning specilist costs soon spirial.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Implement the data sets correctly, else migrating to other CMS', or even updating across versions will become very difficult. Understand and implement a redirect strategy as soon as you can to also ensure these can be managed effectively when used across versions. Get the development teams trained in use of the actual CMS as soon as possible.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a 'publication warehouse' - of that there are multiple sites across multiple universes that would benefit from cross article publication. This in a real life example would be having a "food" universe of sites, that compile of Food Manufacture websites, Grocer retail, ingredient sourcing and restaurant review sites. Articles can be shared across a multitude of sites without having to republish. Really sees benefits in ensuring services such as newsletters consistently have new and exciting content.

  ### 33. The better of most (all?) content management systems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rihards S. | Senior Developer, Competence Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The fact that it's built on top of great technologies like Symfony2 and Twig.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Getting started (understanding) the system isn't the easiest to get going with, but once you do get going, you don't want to go back to other systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Take your time when evaluating the system, it's not the easiest to get started with, but it's well worth it.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large enterprises sites that have tens of different sites in as many countries. All easily brought together in a multi-site and multi-lingual installation, working together like a charm.

  ### 34. Now developer friendly (A Developer's Review)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ Publish, or eZ Platform, is now built on top of Symfony. Symfony is a modern php web framework that has a large user base. By adopting Symfony as a backbone for eZ Publish, eZ has opened the door to make developing and extending eZ Publish easier than ever. Moreover, by adopting Symfony, eZ Publish by default has a much larger pool of developers who will be able to step into a development role on an eZ Publish project.
eZ Publish has also adopted a better release cycle and a better upgrade path. Keeping up to date is now a breeze with eZ Publish; the same claim cannot be made for other CMSs I have worked with.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ still has a large legacy base that is still supported. Maintaining that legacy base can mean duplicating configuration and a slower development process for some projects. eZ is working on making this better, but it is still a pain point.
Arguably, another pain point is the eZ Publish administration interface. Due to eZ Publish's power, there is a lot to manage. This can be overwhelming for some users.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eZ does a very good job at separating out pieces of content into meaningful types for users and editors. This makes administrating an eZ Publish site much easier than other CMS's where that separation doesn't happen (drupal, wordpress, etc).

  ### 35. I love eZ

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anaël C. | Senior Backend Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The thing what I like the best on eZ is the way of display contents and the API

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

I dislike the documentation (even it's better than before :) )

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Be self-confident and do not be afraid by the complexity :)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

News website (100 000+ users), Blogs

  ### 36. Deep down in the murky depths.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henning K. | Senior Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

You can achieve anything. Anything! The integration with Symfony was a stroke of genius.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Lots of moving parts. It sometimes feel like building a spaceship and flying it at the same time.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content availability, webshop.

  ### 37. Very flexible platform and the only one which fully supports Symfony

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ offers a great content model which allows you to tailor the system to your needs. Unlike other CMS platforms eZ is both multi-lingual and ready for multi site projects without assuming web to be the only content channel. This is a clear advantage to many other solutions which require plugins. One of the best reasons for chosing eZ Publish 5x or eZ Platform is that it fully supports Symfony. Other platforms are using this, but not full stack.

One of the best things about rendering the content is that you are free to design your own views , meaning your content can be output in different ways and this can be done consistently. Reuse of content is easy and all data is stored independently of your presentation format, meaning it can be easily exported or offered by other solutions via APIs for instance.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The hybrid stack is a great idea, but has been tough to work by. One of the challanges has been that it has taken some time to get the necessary features supported. The idea of having a mixutre of architectures is not the best, although it does offer existing customers a clear path to transition to the new system.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The great content model allows you to easily solve any task you want to when it comes to content representations in any channels. We have used this to both integrate with other software because of the flexible architecture. Being able to fully translate a content is also something which has not been as easily possible in other products.

  ### 38. eZ is easy, or not.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** paulo b. | IT consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

This CMS is a full-featured, all bells and whistles, all-you-need, and then some, kind of beast. Many advanced features that are clunky and hard to use on other CMSes (multiple languages, document versioning, .doc and .pdf autoi ndexing), are just a click away with this app.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ is not that easy to develop. To start, it is a dual app/framework thing. It comes with a whole app already working, but there's a huge API to build whatever you can dream of, and everything is customizable. It needs some time to learn all the corners. And docs are sometimes on the basic side, addressed to the ninja-level developer.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating bundles and add-on to integrate with eZ. Good thing is that it's easy to make each bundle as isolated, or as integrated as one needs. It can be almost standalone, as an independent service, or ride almost all on top of the eZ framework.

  ### 39. If you think big, this might be the sofware you need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matías B. | Implementaciones CRM + Desarrollos Web, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The most Professional CMS we have been working with.

Don't be confused, wordpress is nice, simple and fast. But this is in a whole different level, once you learn ezpublish you have a CMS platform where you can create big and fast performing sites with a very pro API that you can extend and integrate.

Based on symfony 2.X makes ez publish a perfect choice for us as we already invested in learning symfony platform inner workings.

The contend edition is very simple, you either gives them access to the site admin section (which is more daunting for beginners or just the frontend editing toolbar )
Database design is exquisite, if you have a DBA around he will love it.
Mobile ready from the beginning and the API is great.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Steep, steep learning curve. Don't download this project to make a website during the weekend.

Even some simple things take a long time to do. Don't even try to change a single parameter in the database like you will do in wordpress, here database design is so relational (maybe 3rd or 4rth degree of normalization) that you need a good understanding of the design before trying to do that.

Being symfony based (version 5 and up) made the system very robust but you need to really understand what you are doing, otherwise you will feel lost.

Community is lagging behind wordpress and other CMS.

*EDIT (24/2) - Ezpublish is not yet fully migrated to symfony so some components are not yet there and there is an ezpublish_legacy bridge, bear this in mind, try to go for the latest version and upgrade often while learning so you don't have to learn some legacy stuff.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

They moved to symfony a few years ago, a very bold move and they were followed by drupal doing the same thing.
So if you learn symfony you will already understand a lot of ezpublish and possibly drupal, your learning curve will pay off even if you leave ezpublish CMS.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tightly integrated websites.

We develop websites with a portal that is connected with ERP/CRM systems with tightly integrated functionality.

With ezpublish we got the web frontend covered when multiple users / systems required edit access to the contend. We got thousands of users using the platform buying things, checking credits, and in the background ERP inventory will be connected and customer information pushed to the CRM software.

  ### 40. Feature rich and very reliable, but a bit hard to learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jani T. | Competence Manager, Senior Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The product like mentality. A lot of functionality out of the box and the built in features work together and I don't really need that many additional plugins/modules/etc. to accomplish a site.

The adoption of the Symfony 2 full stack makes development very structured and familiar to newcomers with an MVC framework background.

Reliability. Few surprises in running eZ Publish for years.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Learning curve is quite steep and there is limited documentation and tutorials available.

The Symfony stack helps this, but there are still so many cases where it's easy for a newcomer to get confused (obsolete tutorial), new stack vs. legacy stack.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Finding an experienced vendor to working with eZ Publish (and eZ Systems) is key. It's a complex system with many features and inexperience is an unlikely recipe for success.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly corporate B2C websites with light integrations to eCommerce and other external systems.

Upgrades to latest versions (3.x --> 5.x) have been quite straightforward and have not required a complete rewrite. This will naturally change with 6.x since it's dropping the legacy stack.

  ### 41. Developing wonderful sites with eZ

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

That eZ is based on a modern architecture/framework as symphony.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Old user interface for editors was hard to understand and use for editors.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Normal information sites for large companies. Integrating data in/out of eZ.

  ### 42. Building a bespoke CMS with eZ Patform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Dual stack approach, extensibility, move to Symfony

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Focus on eZ Studio :) If you do not need it.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Use platform

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content management, process management,

  ### 43. The most powerful CMS, but not for amateurs!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thiago C. | Developer and Project Manager, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Code quality
User roles and policies management
Content version management
Possibility of creating custom content classes easily
Siteaccess system
Localization and Internationalization feature
Multi language feature

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

We can't use pure eZ publish 5 stack because it is lacking legacy features.
Steep learning curve, and even worst now with eZ publish 5.
Not so popular.
Support could be better.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have implemented over a hundred projects successfully.
