What do you like best?

iATS allowed us to easily create a web-based online payment option on our website. As a non-profit we want to make it easy for our supporters to give online. We now offer options to give both using credit cards and "electronic checks" (ACH payments). Supporters can also donate once or set up a recurring donation. Additionally, I can easily create custom pages as needed with only a few minutes. iATS support has always been helpful and friendly and, generally speaking, very responsive. What do you dislike?

Using iATS Payments provides a low-cost/low-fee online payments through our web site. Our online donations have increased and continue to do so each quarter. What do you like best?

Ease of use of the iATS extension for CiviCRM, when it comes to our userbase signing up for events and/or sending contributions is what really enabled us to grow as an organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Well, the Refund button on the administrative interface needs a confirm prompt, as I have accidentally refunded the wrong person at least once, having checkmarked the wrong row.. I would suggest a prompt saying "you are about to refund x amount to y person, do you wish to proceed?". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is so straightforward to setup, and most importantly, iATS was on the ball ensuring all the i's were dotted when it came to the legal requirements for a non-profit using such a service, whereas other services are just generic and didn't really fit our needs. Originally we were using Paypal payments and the associated CiviCRM/Drupal plugins, but we had found that these were too confusing for our user base, often leading to incomplete transactions - iATS allowed us direct credit card processing, removing the convoluted steps of paypal. What do you like best?

I've been using and recommending iATS to nonprofits as I work on their websites using either CiviCRM for memberships or Drupal Commerce for sales. It's simple to set up, more cost effective for nonprofits and charities and the support is excellent. The CiviCRM integration is very well supported by both iATS and the community members who maintain it. iATS is also very supportive of the CiviCRM community. What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

Corporate structure is confusing, several subsidiaries of one company and you might get bounced around. Documentation was confusing and links to most current API weren’t provided. Integration with CiviCRM is touted, but plugin lacks some features, is difficult to test with, and has outdated UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The process of getting setup with iATS was pretty straight forward and hassle free. The fact they've also written an extension for CiviCRM (which is actually how we found out about iATS) makes things incredibly convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the iATS extension for CiviCRM and how it works with iATS. We get to control the way we process recurring payments and integrate with a great provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

To be perfectly honest, I dislike having to do regular PCI compliance scans. We're a small nonprofit and it's not fun. However, I need to upgrade to the new iATS extension for CiviCRM that will allow us to change to the easier questionnaire, I think. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To honestly evaluate the pros/cons of using iATS vs. other payment processors and to create a functional and realistic plan for migrating. Getting accurate data from Paypal was a chore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

What do you like best?

I like iATS for ease of use in reporting functions and virtual terminal (submitting transactions) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Contacting customer service is irritating. Takes a long time to get a response and follow-through is not always great. We've submitted several forms over the years, removing users from the account (departed employees) and yet they still stay on the acct and we submit more paperwork and still nothing is actually taken care of. What do you like best?

I like that this system really gives you every tool you may need to collect payments safely and securely. The customer service is wonderful and attentive which is great for people who have never used a payment processing system before. iATS breaks down where all of your payments have come from and securely places that money into your bank account right away. It was really complicated to set up. As someone who has never used one of these before, I found it challenging inputting information that I wasn't too confident on. What do you like best?

The fraud prevention tools appear to be helping reduce tests of stolen cards on our donation page. iATS integrates with our database, which is what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There have been a bunch of issues recently that may have caused us to lose donations, so this is unsettling. I don't particularly like the UI and it would be nice if we could download multiple reports at once or even build templates so you get the data you want in the order you want. What do you like best?

I can easily update information on the back end, such as entering a new card number, changing the amount/schedule for recurring gifts, or inputting card info if a donor wishes to make a one-time gift over the phone. Not really set up for true recurring gifts. It works well if you have a pledge with a specific end date, but you cannot leave the end date open for gifts with an indefinite end Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I have processed millions of dollars of deposits with IATS in my position for the last 15 years.

My "like best" thing is that the employees (customer service) are all very friendly and helpful. i.e. above average. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

IATS has experienced a few (not many) what they call "time-out" issues. This is when credit card transactions do not come through accurately.

Can be time consuming to correct these, yet thankful it doesn't usually happen but once or twice a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our current database provider is seeking to draw us over to "their merchant service" . I think merchant carriers should watch the 'c.c. fees" they charge for their service in order to stay competitive in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
