**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishnakant B. | kmb, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

Hyperledger is open-source software under the Linux Foundation. It is based on a highly developing blockchain system. It is a private blockchain in contrast to the public blockchain systems like ethereum and bitcoin. The best part of the Hyperledger is that all the variables can be easily changed using some simple command-line arguments. The size of consortiums can be managed easily.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

The only drawback of using Hyperledger is that one has to invest a lot of time and effort to learn all the systems and protocols. It is not a simple project that can be understood easily, one has to spend a considerable amount of time to learn the flow of the system.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems of using a public blockchain system can be solved using Hyperledger which is a private blockchain. Using Hyperledger any organization can set up its own blockchain network.
It reduces the risk of mismanagement of data. It also brings the idea of decentralization in the project and company.

  ### 2. One of the trusted private Blockchain Network

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

Hyper ledger makes it easy for you to start developing your own blockchain projects using language that is easy to understand. If you understand typescript you are good to go.The support available when you learning to build blockchains with Hyperledger from the community is great. With the tools like hyper ledger composer its faster for you to do proof of concepts for your blockchain and easily show how your blockchain will work. There is also an open source explorer for hyper ledger which you can customise to your liking and even contribute to its development. It is now also supported for deployment on platforms like azure making it easier for you to deploy the hyper ledger solutions with ease. If you are a fan of not coding in the browser you can still write your code for your hyperledger business cards using any of your favourite IDEs.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

The setup to start working is a lengthy process as you may have dependency challenges as you are setting up the fabric servers, you also need some basic knowledge of docker for you to quickly get on board hyper ledger, There is still of work being done around the project and so chances of coming across unique problems are still very high, though the community will quickly jump in to help.

**Recommendations to others considering Hyperledger:**

Its one of the best contributions to the blockchain community and will help propel blockchain solutions in a fast and seamless way. I recommend you try it out

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hyper ledger has helped build proof of concepts for blockchain solutions and has helped show the power of blockchain to people in simple use cases like securing IOT,

  ### 4. Hyper-LEDGER

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Misbah A. | Jr. Quality Engineer, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

My department deals with manufacturing and supply chain, that's where Hyperledger comes in! The ability to make blockchains, share them amongst a group and monitor content is a benefit. Open source architecture and modularity are the best parts along with the db management. Another thing is the growing community support.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

As with all softwares there's a learning curve, there could be more training exercises to explain all the intricate functions. These exercises should help beginners getting into this tool walk them through the blockchain tech. The ommunity support is improving and hope its gets much better.

**Recommendations to others considering Hyperledger:**

Its is a good tool but it can be a great one if beginners can get into it easy for that we need better and easy tutorials. If you get that in the bag then it is easy to get a hang a of it and implement the tool.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a supplier firm and this tool is very useful in our supplychain routines, communicating though internal and external groups in the company makes for smoother process and better management.

  ### 5. Building Blockchain Platform with Hyperledger Fabric

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

I like the customization that Hyperledger offers. There are many different options, whether Sawtooth, Fabric, Composer, and more, that are applicable to whatever solution must be developed.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

It can be tedious to hardcode a solution using Hyperledger, and helps to use another platform that runs Hyperledger underneath. Additionally, it is constantly being updated, and previous features may be outdated, which can be a good or bad thing.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving supply chain problems with Hyperledger, and the benefits we have seen are in the permissioned platform, ability to establish channels and private data collection, and the ease in managing all of this.

  ### 6. Highly scalable for private blockchain networks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chethana B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

A first explored hyperledger because of it was suggested to be the oned used for enterprise private blockchain networks. But the best part is it's scalability and security. While it took a while for me to get the hang of it, the benefits and the design are tended to blend in with my usecases very well.
The best part is that, it's a enterprise software which is available for free.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

The documentation should've been much simpler. By the time i read, understand and try to implement it, it took me almost a week. It should allow the user to get their hands 'quick and dirty' with the tool since the most learning occurs from using the tool.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used it in a hackathon to build a blockchained security application that ran in the fabric chaincode.

  ### 7. Working with Hyperledger Fabric for a blockchain solution

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

The most helpful part about hyperledger is its form utility. It helped us form our own business case for the project.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

I am not the biggest fan of the cost of hyperledger. That is the only negative that I can think of.

**Recommendations to others considering Hyperledger:**

I do not have any recommendations that I would give besides lowering the overall cost

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating blockchain solutions in a retail setting. We are working on plugging in supply chain data from a retail setting to plug into the hyperledger fabric solution

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

Just the simple fact that it is a blockchain module and one of the Hyperledger projects hosted by The Linux makes a huge difference.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

Composer provides a GUI user interface "Playground" for the creation of applications, and therefore represents an mediocre starting point for Proof of Concept work.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blockchain package management tooling contributed by IBM has been the most beneficial aspect in my opinion.

  ### 10. Best Framework for permissioned blockchains

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Hyperledger?**

The vast amount of projects that come under the hyperledger umbrella is fascinating. From fabric, sawtooth, burrow to incubation phase composer, indy. Also, the developer community is very active since all these projects are open source.

**What do you dislike about Hyperledger?**

Lack of good documentation and tutorials to get started. A lot of time the official documentation is outdated on their site. Not a lot of walkthroughs are present to help a newcomer be comfortable with the code and logic.

**Recommendations to others considering Hyperledger:**

It's totally suited for your if you want to develop applications for a business scenario. Hyperledger uses the distributed ledger technology to build a permissioned ledger. Although the source code is a little difficult to understand, once you get it, it is highly customizable and will meet all your business needs.

**What problems is Hyperledger solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been working on a system to offset carbon using blockchains. I've been using hyperledger fabric and hyperledger composer extensively. Since it allows us to make a permissioned blockchain network, it is very suitable for business scenarios, since all the participants in that need to be identified. On the other hands participants can maintain privacy between them by starting a private channel which acts like a seperate ledger. The composer playground is a good tool to quickly test your business network
