Our campus is frequently described as a small city. Not only are we physically dispersed, but we also have a diversity of roles, levels, functions, occupations, age ranges due to the nature of the research institution and what is required to serve our students. Hype is a tool that helps bring together faculty, researchers, the hospital system, our students, our staff, and even our external partners. This platform has helped us overcome a barrier in connecting our widely distributed groups and hierarchies in order to help us problem solve, process improve, creatively innovate, and effectively communicate.

As an admin, there is a clear learning curve to adjust to the platform backend and the different customizations available. However, once that is understood it gets much easier to manage. There are also limited internal reporting options on the metrics we wanted to track, and had to resort to external options utilizing Hype's API.
