Easy to use, intelligent tool to backup and restore nearly everything up to item-level, with automatic schedules based on RPO/RTO.Great customer support, including assistance during the initial setup. Backup retention for M365 is unlimited, for SaaS products it depends on your personal storage, but is very flexible. Large number of source and target services can be included and integrated in one platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great to have an better overview of the M365 and the SaaS modules (including status, reports etc.) in one place, at the moment it's two different portals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to setup backup policies which takes care of scheduling for you, big improvement over past backup systems we've used where the schedule has to be manually setup to cover all of your VMs.
Comes with some inexpensive add-ons that allow for Disaster Recovery setup
Works with a lot of different targets for backups and DR, both on-premise and in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When it has an error, its usually pretty tough to debug. But support is great and probably will have a solution.
Can be very chatty and fill up your inbox with warnings, errors, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HYCU is a product that we've been using for a long time to back up our Nutanix cluster. It's been rock solid in terms of its performance and reliability. Whenever there has been an issue, their support team has been able to provide a quick turnaround to resolve it. The UI is intuitive and simple to use. The Protege feature was a fantastic addition that plays well into our DR strategy, allowing us to spin up any of our mission-critical VMs into Azure if and when required. We love that there is a full API set, which we use to extract data and provide reporting into custom Power BI Dashboards. We have been performing monthly restore testing for files, SQL DBs, and full VMs for the last few years, and all have been successful. The great thing about this product is that we don't need to log on to check it every day, we know that it just continues to work, and our reporting dashboard verifies this. That it backs up our data directly to Azure is a huge win, allowing us to keep all our data offsite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything that doesn't work well with this product. I could only make a suggestion that it would be a very helpful feature to develop some automation workflows that allow our restore testing to be conducted automatically. Datto has a feature where it sends a screenshot of the console of a VM that was backed up, showing the temporary restore of the VM, and verifying that it was a working backup. Otherwise, no issues! As a new user to both HYCU and Nutanix, I have been impressed by the HYCU backup solution. The ease of use in not only setting up and scheduling backups but also upgrading the software is outstanding. The user interface is intuitive, making it simple to configure backup policies, monitor performance, and recover data with minimal effort. The deep integration with Nutanix makes it particularly seamless, allowing for efficient data protection without the need for complex configurations. Additionally, the automation features reduce manual tasks, saving both time and effort. Overall, HYCU’s simplicity, reliability, and integration capabilities stand out the most for me. While HYCU offers a user-friendly and seamless backup experience, there are a few drawbacks. One limitation is its lack of support for tape libraries, which means we cannot integrate it with our existing tape robot for long-term storage or archival purposes. Additionally, more advanced users may find the customisation options somewhat limited, especially if managing a diverse infrastructure beyond Nutanix. These constraints can be a challenge for organisations with broader backup requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support replies almost instantly and aims to solve the problem with utmost importance. No fuss, they just want to solve the issue as fast as possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing much, some very difficult issues might take some time to take care of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HYCU helps not only to reach RPO and RTO targets on backup but, more importantly, also for rescovery. The SLA based 'set and forget' features, the full integration with WORM capable storage an the pletora of online and on prem backup targets to choose from are great. Also, the online (protege) backup suite is great, easy to setup and never lets you down. Support (for running environment as well as while designing ans setting up) is one of the best I know, just like the channel support for us (as reseller/integrator) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Need to rethink backup as you know it, if you try to recreate an existing backup environment, you will fail. You need to look at backup and recovery in a new, more functionally driven, way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product, both features and roadmap are amazing. However, even a great product can fail when lacking a motivated team to support and carry the message. Thankfully, the HYCU team in channel, presales, and tech support are all beyond great and I am sure that the success will keep growing exponentially. Keep it up! Not sure if there is a lot, I think HYCU has 2 challenges but are normal in this kind of phase. HYCU is challenged to be a bit less known in the sector and is cleary working towards a clear brand in all regions. From a technical point of view, HYCU might be a bit the victim of their own succes as the speed in which they innovate and expand sometimes comes at a cost that things such as documentation and knowledge transfer are not going as smooth as it should be, but this is being managed by the teams and I am sure this will be resolved structuraly! The implementation was super easy, pricing was a no-brainer compared to others on the market, and the support has been unbelievable. We initially only wanted to back up virtual machines with HYCU but after working with Broderick G and Chris Riveria we decided to also backup our M365 with them as well. The product is simple and straightforward, has minimal to no impact on our environment, and backs up directly to an off-site cloud. When I did need some help Broderick my sales rep got ahold of me early that morning and ensured that he and Chris Riveria stayed in contact until the problem was resolved. It was one of the best support responses I have ever seen a company provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes snapshots on the vm's will not delete, this stops the backups going forward until you actually notice that this has happenned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hycu intigrates amazingly well withing with our Virtulization software, and allowed us to implement Imutible backups at a very competitive price. It is super easy to use once the buckets are setup, and their customer support has been amazing. I have not had to do too much once we got it implemented, just check it every morning and make sure the backups were successful. Restoring is very easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have many complaints about Hycu, It was a little weird to setup multiple servers for fileshares, but they are not terrible resource intensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its simplicity and robust security (with its appliance model). The Customer Success and Post Sales support teams are also excellent. Ease of Implementation, deployment and maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Windows Hyper-V or physical servers works but is a little clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
